PRODUCT & CONTRACTS EXECUTIVE Person specification:

Friendly personality, positive attitude, quick learner, flexible, good communicator, confident and persuasive manner, effective team player, professional, focused, shows initiative, attentive to detail and commercially aware.

Requirements:

IT literate; Fluent English, good knowledge of our destination, in particular Ireland; office experience; tourism experience.

Job specification:

This is a supplier facing role where we seek to gain prices and availability from hotels and other suppliers, in order to give our clients a competitive rate whilst obtaining an agreed margin, as well as ensuring that the product offered is within the standards and quality required for each market and client

Reports to:

Destination Manager Ireland

Key Tasks: Joining the Ireland Destination Team in the process of contracting rates and allocations with Irish suppliers for groups and FIT. This may involve any or all of the following activities: 

Supplier rate and allocation negotiation, follow ups and entry into relevant databases

Placing tour series

Developing relationships with hotels: exchanging feedback, providing updates, identifying ways of presenting group booking requests to optimise outcome; dealing with supplier bookouts, supporting supplier complaint resolution

Maximising the usage of allocations; reviewing, monitoring and evaluating sold dates/spaces

Storing and presenting product knowledge

Assisting the Destination Leader and Destination Manager Ireland

Attendance at some trade events, supplier meetings and tourism workshops

Additional Tasks: 

Running various reports, comparing charts, updating the system if necessary to keep an overview on your allocated areas

Responsible for setting up and releasing agreed hotel group allocations

Providing supplementary FIT contracting support to fulfil the FIT requirements of the company

Creating, agreeing and delivering on production targets as appropriate

Assisting in building relationships with new and top existing attractions and other suppliers as required

To flexibly support team members of the same region (and other regions where business requirements demand) to fulfil their role as and when needed, for business reasons such as productivity, expertise absence, illness etc.).

Note: Some overtime (evening and weekends) may be necessary to complete the above tasks in a competent and timely manner; willingness and ability to do this is mandatory.
