Project Update

FM 423 Green Ribbon Landscaping The remaining shrubs are being installed and the active construction portion of this project will be wrapped up soon.

The Cove® Electric Vehicle Charging Stations The charging stations are installed! We expect these to be operational within the next two weeks.

Project Update

Town Hall Remodel The remodel is substantially completed. The contractor will be replacing the floors in the downstairs lobby beginning next week. There are a few remaining punch list items, as well as some AV equipment and furniture.

Demolition of 615 Lakeshore Dr The Fire Department concluded their training in the structure earlier this month and our contractor has begun demolishing the building.

Kids' Movies and Concerts at The Lakefront™ June 11, July 16, August 20 Throughout the summer, there will be Kid's Movie Nights at Little Elm Park. There will be character meet and greets and a movie showing on each of the dates. Food trucks will also be available at each event. Find more details and movie selections here.

The Lakefront™ Concert Series Fridays in June, 6 - 8 p.m. The Lakefront™ Concert Series presented by the Little Elm Chamber of Commerce is back in June! Find band details here.

Parking at Little Elm Park Parking fees began May 1. There is a $10 per vehicle fee per trip into the park every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, May 1 through Labor Day. Parking attendants take cash or credit cards onsite. We also offer a Resident Seasonal Parking Pass for $25 and NonResident Seasonal Parking Pass for $75. Passes are usually available in April each year. Purchasing a Little Elm Park Season Parking Pass does not guarantee a parking spot. To purchase a seasonal parking pass, please visit The Rec at The Lakefront™ at 303 Main Street. Find more information here.

The Cove at The Lakefront® Report Summer Hours: Monday-Friday: 11 a.m. - 8 p.m. Saturday: 10 a.m. - 6 p.m. Sunday: noon - 6 p.m. April Highlights The Cove® hosted a variety of school end of the year field trips! Groups from Little Elm, Lewisville, Prosper, and Grapvine ISD’s visited. We had almost 1300 kids come through The Cove® over the last two weeks of May.

Upcoming Events & Promotions Summer Swim Lessons Swim Lessons will begin on Monday, June 6. Also, swim lessons at the Villages of Woodlake and Sunset Pointe Pools will begin Monday, June 20. Registration for both sessions are currently underway.

My name is Morgan Schmitt and I started as the Aquatic Coordinator of Operations in October of 2021. I am a Certified Pool Operator, American Red Cross Lifeguard Instructor, and I've worked in Aquatics for different school districts, municipalities and non-profits for 12 years. I like playing pickle ball, the Texas Rangers, and going to the lake.

My name is Mitchell Ryan and I started as the Wastewater Treatment Supervisor in April. I grew up in Keller, TX. I was with the Trinity River Authority of Texas for seven years prior to joining the Town. I have a bachelor’s degree from West Texas A&M. I have four children; all sons under the age of eight. I enjoy lawn care, baseball with my kids, and spending time with family.

Sales Tax Update The Town received a distribution for the month of May 2022 from the State Comptroller’s office in the amount of $1,297,119. This sales tax distribution is for reported sales for the month of March and represents our half of sales tax distribution for our 2022 budget. May’s sales tax distribution includes the quarterly filing for Kroger. March 2022 taxable sales reflects an increase of 15.14 percent or $170,523.85 from the March taxable sales last year. The FY 2022 budgeted sales tax revenue reflected a 4 percent increase over last year’s actuals/estimates. The Town’s YTD reported sales tax revenue is over FY 2022 projected budgeted sales tax revenue by 18.78 percent. Statewide, the Comptroller’s office reported that sales tax collections year to date are up by 19.6 percent for May 2022 sales tax revenue compared to May 2021.
