Your water adventures are unlimited on more than 27 miles of shoreline in Green Lake. Just spend a weekend on the water and you’ll experience wind-inyour-hair fun like never before!

Hop aboard your own speedboat, pontoon boat, or personal watercraft, which can be launched at one of several public launch sites. Pull out your skis, tubes, and life jackets for a thrill ride; cruise to Norwegian Bay and anchor in the shallow water to reconnect with friends; and visit one of Green Lake’s water-accessible restaurants or music events.

Don’t have a boat? Take a cruise on the water aboard the J. Lawson, Pierless Boat Rentals' 50-foot, down-east-style boat built for the navy—converted for sightseeing. Or visit one of our many local businesses that provide boat and recreational rentals.

The Green Lake Sailing School offers lessons throughout the summer to suit every age and skill level— from beginners to experienced sailors. For paddlers, there are many secluded hidden coves and shoreline’s on Green Lake to explore via paddleboard, kayak, or canoe.

The ice on Green Lake in the winter months provides a plethora of activities for outdoor enthusiasts of all types. As soon as the lake freezes, the sails of Green Lake’s iceboaters appear. The Green Lake Ice Yacht Club hosts iceboating competitions on the lake and loves to share the thrill of the sport with anyone interested.

The ice also brings skaters and hockey players to the ice skating rink at the Wharf. Complete with twinkle lights for skating day or night, the Wharf rink has plenty of free skates to borrow if you don’t already have a pair.
