WYNDHAM Our Mission We are the global leader in travel accommodations, welcoming our guests to iconic brands and vacation destinations through our signature Count On Me! service.
Our Culture Wyndham Worldwide strives to become the widely recognized service leader in the hospitality industry. We have a service-oriented culture in which each associate strives to be responsive, respectful and deliver great experiences to our customers, guests, partners and communities as well as to each other.
Wyndham Worldwide Core Values • Act with integrity in all that we do: Without integrity, the foundations of business and life crumble. • Respect everyone, everywhere: Whether we are working with a customer, a hotel franchisee, a senior executive or a security guard, respect knows no boundaries. • Provide individual opportunity and accountability: As leaders, we need to actively include diversity in our thought process. Here at Wyndham Worldwide, diversity and inclusion are the same concept. Being inclusive expands our horizons and our society. • Improve our customers’ lives: Whether we are helping our hotel franchisees or resort affiliates with their businesses or creating memorable experiences for the guests visiting our properties, we strive to improve their lives through their interaction with us. • Support our communities: As a large company, we provide employment that helps out the communities in which we operate. But the Wyndham philosophy states that is not enough. We need to give back to our communities to improve the world around us. We have created the Wishes by Wyndham program, which embodies our philanthropic donations, including the use of our time to help others.
WYNDHAM REWARD You look like you deserve Wyndham Rewards magic today. Join Wyndham Rewards and start earning. Go Free awards. A free night at any Wyndham property will now require as few as 7,500 points with no blackout dates. This is the biggest change to the program, as it creates one flat redemption rate for all 9 tiers of Wyndham’s properties. Go Fast awards. If you want to redeem your points sooner or stay longer for less, you can book available nights for as few as 1,500 points plus cash. More points for faster rewards. The program’s core earning ratio won’t change—it will still be 10 points for every dollar spent at Wyndham properties—but you’ll now have the potential to earn a minimum of 1,000 points per stay if that amount is more. 2

FOR YOUR SAFETY & SECURITY Fire Safety • Take a moment to familiarize yourself with the floor diagram on the back of your guest room door.
• In the unlikely event of a fire, leave your guest room immediately. Take your room key and close the door behind you.
• If the fire is in your room, get out and close the door. Alert the Front Desk. • If the fire is not in your room, leave if you can. First feel the door; if it is cool, slowly open the door and proceed to the nearest exit. If the hallway is full of smoke, crawl to the nearest exit. If the door is hot to the touch, do not open the door. Wet towels and sheets and place them over any cracks around the door. Shut off fans and the heating/air-conditioning unit. Call the Fire Department and Front Desk. Signal from your window so rescue crews know where you are trapped.
Guest Security • Lock your vehicle and do not leave money or valuable items visible inside. We are not responsible for damage, loss or theft of articles.
• Don’t answer the door in your room without verifying who is there. If a person claims to be an employee, call the Front Desk and ask if someone from the staff is supposed to have access to your room and for what purpose.
• Close the door securely whenever you are in your room and use all of the locking devices provided on your guest room door.
• Do safeguard your key. Be sure to leave it with the Front Desk upon departure. Please do not leave the key in your room. For your safety, do not give your key to anyone.

POINTS OF INTEREST Gaslight Shopping District Located in Downtown Petoskey Petoskey became famous in the last half of the 19th century when it was established as a summer resort community, though it was settled long before that by Ottawa and Chippewa Indians. Petoskey was named after Ottawa Indian Chief Ignatius Petosega. “Pet-O-Sega” means “Rays of the Rising Sun.” The eye of the stone is seen as the sun, and the lines, or tentacles, are seen as the rays radiating from the sun. Petoskey’s unique downtown is a comfortable place to shop, with historic buildings, a relaxing central park and the famous gaslights. Petoskey’s Gaslight District features distinctive planting and quaint walkways leading to dozens of uncommon shops and restaurants. You’ll find designer labels, duck decoys and exquisite jewelry in establishments that may also have addresses in West Palm Beach or Naples. Throughout the seasons, there are special events, including the summer “Concerts in the Park” series on Tuesdays and Fridays, the Boyne Country Summer Celebration, “Art in the Park” along with various arts and craft shows, the popular Sidewalk Days shopping fair, Petoskey’s Christmas Open House and the Winter Carnival. If you’re looking for a little culture, Petoskey has that too. The Virginia McCune Arts Center has a popular performing arts theater, display galleries and studios for teaching. There are monthly gallery shows from varied collections, and an artist’s consignment shop featuring the work of 160 Michigan artists and varied events. Admission to the gallery is free.
Bay Harbor and the Great Lakes Center for the Arts Located four miles south of Petoskey. Crooked Tree Arts Center Free gallery shows; for more information call (231)347.4337. Mackinac Bridge Located only 35 miles north of Petoskey, it is the longest land-connecting bridge in the United States. Nighttime viewing is particularly spectacular.
Mackinac Island A 15-minute catamaran ride from Mackinaw City puts you on the island famous for fudge. Enjoy a walk, bicycle ride or take a horse-and-buggy ride around the island.
Oden State Fish Hatchery The Interpretive Complex is right off US 31 (north side of road), just west of Oden. The railcar, old hatchery building and parking lot are visible from US 31.
Petoskey State Park Located four miles north, this park features beaches, sand dunes, Nordic trails, hiking trail, camping, picnicking and a playground. Call (231)347.2311 for more information.
Petoskey Waterfront and Sunset Park Across from downtown, enjoy breathtaking sunsets from the boardwalk to the beachfront and park.
Scenic Drives M-119 & US 31 provide hours of scenic beauty from the car. Visit the lobby information rack for brochure More information on attractions, dining and entertainment can be found in this publication, as well as in the lobby.
