Resort Services PETS: Pets are accepted with restrictions. Guest must agree to sign pet policy form. Pets not allowed in public areas of the hotel. Pets may not be left unattended at any time. Pet fee applies.

MAINTENANCE: Maintenance staff is available from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. After hours for emergencies contact the Front Desk.

IN-ROOM FIREPLACES: The switch/timer to operate your gas fireplace is located on the wall. Please do not remove the glass facing from the fireplace, as these are not intended for an “open flame.” Keep children away from glass, as it does get very hot.

ICE MACHINES: Ice machines are located in the vending area at the north end of each hallway, near the elevators. Please use the ice bucket from your room.

IN-ROOM WHIRLPOOLS: Directions for use of your in-room whirlpool are located on the wall next to the bathtub. We ask that you do not use bubble bath or floating candles in your whirlpool.

HOUSEKEEPING: Housekeeping hours are from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. daily. Should you require additional services, please contact the Front Desk and every attempt will be made to meet your request. Additional towels may be obtained by exchanging soiled ones at the Front Desk.

SHUTTLE SERVICE: See the Front Desk for information. VENDING MACHINES: Our vending areas are located on north end of first floor next to waterpark entrance.

WATERPARK: Hours for our guests are from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m., Monday through Sunday. Please do not leave children under the age of 14 unattended. The pool area is located on the first floor. Slide hours vary.

PARKING: Free parking is available for hotel guests. Always lock your vehicle and do not leave valuables inside. The resort cannot be held responsible for lost or damaged vehicles or items left in them.

SALES & CONFERENCE DEPARTMENT: The Waters Sales and Conference staff are eager to assist you with your meeting, conference and wedding needs, offering complete planning for corporate retreats, meetings, seminars, weddings and receptions. Our sales department will also assist in planning outings off the property, such as tee times. They are located at the Front Desk.

RESORT POLICY: Our resort is primarily a family facility with many children as our guests. Therefore, we have dress and conduct policies that we enforce for the safety and enjoyment of our guests. Disrespectful conduct or behavior, such as vulgarity, intoxication, theft, excessive rowdiness, excessive noise and all other actions that negatively impact our guests or staff, will not be permitted. We reserve the right to remove from the facility, without refund, anyone who does not comply with our policies.

WAKE-UP SERVICE: Individual alarm clocks are located at your bedside.

NOISE COMPLAINTS: Noise complaints may result in additional charge if it becomes necessary to compensate other guests as a result of an adjacent guest room non-compliance with “Quiet” from 10 p.m. to 7:30 a.m.

PLACES OF WORSHIP: Denominations, service times and directions to area churches are listed in the yellow pages of the guest room phone book.

NO-SMOKING POLICY: State Law requires no smoking in rooms. The Waters has a strict nosmoking policy. Smoking is allowed only on the guest room patio/deck. All rooms are non-smoking. A $300.00 deep cleaning charge will be assessed to any guest room or meeting room violating this policy.

MAIL & POSTAGE: U.S. Mail drop is at the Front Desk. Postage may be purchased at the Front Desk, located in the main Lobby.

RECYCLING: Recycling bins are located throughout the building. We ask that you participate in our program.

THE WATERS PUB: The Pub is located off the Lobby. Hours vary by season. Contact the Front Desk for current hours. Pizza available. Expanded menu on weekends. 5

INTERNET ACCESS: High-speed wireless internet access is available in each of our guest rooms and suites free of charge. Simply locate ”Guest_ thewaters”. Password: WatersGuest1. Business Center is also available for guest use.

SNACK BAR There is a snack bar on-site in the Waterpark, offering casual food, pop, wine, beer and mixed drinks. No carry-ins please. Hours vary by season.

The Waters of Minocqua offers the only indoor waterpark of its kind in Northern Wisconsin. Our 10,000-square-foot enclosed waterpark offers aquatic thrills for kids of all ages, whatever the weather. The area offers an indoor-outdoor pool, a kiddie pool, indoor-outdoor hot tub and two body slides with completely enclosed tubes that carry our guests into the refreshing plunge pool. Use of the indoor waterpark is free for our hotel guests. Lockers are available for your belongings.

POOL HOURS OFF SEASON SUMMER/HOLIDAYS

Please see waterslide hours posted in the waterpark or Front Desk. The pool and waterslide will be closed in the event of inclement weather or storms. Pools are open daily. Wisconsin State Law requires that children 14 years and younger be accompanied by an adult. Please remember to remove any DISPOSABLE DIAPERS from infants before entering pool. Swimming diapers are available in the Gift Shop. Do not bring glass or food items into the pool area. If you have forgotten your beach towel, we offer pool towels in the Waterpark. The lifeguard and waterslide hours are extended on holiday weekends and for special events. The indoor Waterpark is open seven days a week, year-round. The Campanile Center for the Arts is a non-profit, regional Arts center with a service area stretching as far south as Merrill and north to the Upper Peninsula. Dr. Kate Museum depicts the country doctor, Dr. Kate Pelham Newcomb, and the vital role in the history of Wisconsin’s Great Northwoods. She is remembered as “The Angel on Snowshoes” for her dedication in reaching patients when the winter roads were impassable. Dr. Kate spearheaded a movement to build a hospital in tiny Woodruff. The lowly penny became the symbol of the project when local school children sought to collect a million of them for Dr. Kate’s hospital. Visitors can view the 1954 Ralph Edwards’ telecast of Dr. Kate: This is Your Life; learn the inspiring story of Dr. Kate, Angel On Snowshoes; view memorabilia from the 1953 and 1954 Million Penny Parades; learn the story of the World’s Largest Penny; view displays about Dr. Vie

Minocqua Museum exhibits in the Main Gallery are changed every year. Features displays of Minocqua’s early days and people who made a difference in the history of the community. Minocqua Pontoon Cruises provides a relaxing, informative and safe pontoon cruise on the beautiful Minocqua Chain of Lakes. Information is available at the Front Desk and reservations are requested. The cruise offers history, points of interest and lots of wildlife. Minocqua Winter Park and Nordic Center is the Midwest’s premier family cross-country ski center. Trails for all ages and abilities. Scheer’s Lumberjack Show A unique blend of Wisconsin lumbering history, world-class competition and comedy. 715-356-4050. Woodruff Fish Hatchery is the largest, most modern warm-water hatchery in the world. The Woodruff Hatchery was established in 1900 and to date has produced millions of muskellunge, northern pike and walleye. In addition, suckers are hatched for forage to be used in the game fish rearing program. Kate; and learn how a million pennies became a $20 million bequest which has made possible the Howard Young Medical Center in Woodruff. The museum is located at 923 2nd Avenue in Woodruff.

George W. Brown, Jr. - Ojibwe Museum & Cultural Center visitor tours, videos and beautiful dioramas depicting the four seasons of Anishinabe Life as it has been lived for centuries. Visitor hours are: May-October, Monday-Saturday 10 a.m.-4 p.m.; November-April, Tuesday-Thursday 10 a.m.-2 p.m.; and other times by appointment. 603 Peace Pipe Road, P.O. The International Snowmobile Racing Hall of Fame and Museum is located on Highway 70 one mile east of St. Germain and on the main snowmobile trails between the Minocqua and Eagle River area. The museum represents the rich and exciting history of the sport. Forty drivers and industry Hall-of-Famers are enshrined. Historic race sleds, photos, clothing and other memorabilia fill the museum. From the early race winners at Eagle River to the first winner of the Soo I-500 enduro race of Michigan, you will find dozens of interesting displays. Oval sprint, enduro, drag, hill-climb, sno-cross and water skip sleds and race videos can be found at the museum as well as current and historic racing videos. The gift shop features shirts, caps, jackets and racing videos. Museum hours are 9 a.m.-4:30 p.m. Monday-Friday 715-359-9917. Wildwood Wildlife Park and Nature Center is home to over 750 mammals, reptiles, primates and birds. Visit the one and only Northwoods zoo. Located at 10094 State Highway 70 W, Minocqua. 715-356-5588. Cedar Falls South on Highway 51, 5 miles to Oneida Street. Left at fork to Cedar Falls Road. Approximately 7 miles. This is the county’s only real waterfall, where the Tomahawk River first skids and then crashes down a raw rock channel. Holiday Acres Recreational Park is located next door, within walking distance and open daily. Guided trail rides commence on the hour: gokarts, mini-golf and pony rides are also available. Lac du Flambeau Indian Bowl Pow-Wow is where visitors have a chance to experience a traditional Indian Pow-Wow at the Indian Bowl in downtown Lac du Flambeau. Shows on Tuesdays in July and August at 7 p.m.

The Northwoods Wildlife Center, started in 1979 by veterinarian Rory Foster, is a not-for-profit corporation dedicated to the care and treatment of injured and orphaned wild animals. The building was opened in 1982. The Center treats several hundred animals each year, 40% of which are birds of prey and the rest are other birds, mammals and reptiles. 8683 Blumenstein Road, Minocqua. 715-356-7400.
