The Queensport Hotel and Motel was established in 1864, conveniently situated in the port area, in the heart of Brisbane, it is only a quick walk from the train station, 10 minutes from the airport, 15 kms from Brisbane’s CBD and five minutes to the barge ferry to Moreton. With 26 air conditioned rooms, Bistro, TAB, Gaming, Drive thru Bottle Shop, Lounge Bar and Public Bar, it perfect for a comfortable stay or just pop in for a great meal and a drink.

Playing good old Rock classics for any crowd who knows how to forget about the world outside for a few hours and get lost in the music. A long term vision for Shane Hoffman. Bringing together members of past bands who were all experienced musicians in their own right and who all have a passion for Australian music spanning more than 50 years. The show has been assembled as a tribute to the music of our past and in recognition of the history of the Australian Music scene. Our vision it to take our audience on a magical journey back to days gone by when these songs played an integral part of their lives and to a time when the Australian music scene was thriving in our local pubs and clubs. Our song list has been selected to cater to a wide audience and to all who appreciate good old Australian Rock n Roll.

John is committed to his art, and uses music as a way of exploring the heart and soul of his life experience and the world around him. His music has been described as humorous, introspective, profound, and brilliantly original. John’s hands surge and flourish over every part of the fretboard, his performances becoming as much a visual display as an acoustic experience.

April Sons of Beaches is a band dedicated to reproducing the high energy performances and classic songs of two of Australasia’s most loved rock bands from the 70s/80s - Dragon and Australian Crawl. In effect, April Sons of Beaches is really two tribute bands in one! Double the dancing, double the memories, double the fun!!
