One of the originators of heavy metal, Led Zeppelin were certainly influential and dedicated to their art. Controlling all aspects of the marketing and release of their works they also refused to release singles (even Stairway to Heaven from their untitled fourth album). Their first album was recorded in nine days, just a month after the band had formed / reformed after The Yardbirds split up.

Sing With Status Quo
Learn a song coordinated by a professional choir conductor at 6.30pm, then sing along with the Status Quo tribute band, who’ll start at 7.30pm sharp after the rock choir rehearsal.
Join us in our old school pub beer garden for an absolutely fabulous, fun night. Arrive a couple of hours earlier, have a meal get a bit of Dutch courage and join the choir at 6.30pm. During the night the band will announce rock choir after the next song, so that everyone can get into position or just stay where you are. Punters will then sing along with the band, sing loud like no one is listening.

Sunday Mar 17 Undercover Blonde is a Brisbane based, 4-piece cover band with a wealth of experience fronted by the quintessential rock chick Haylie Gregor. She is supported by the blistering guitar skills of Matt Allen and backed by the solid rhythm section consisting of Phil Karabitsios on bass and Simon Spencer on drums. Undercover Blonde perform a range of hits from various artists from the 80’s era
through to now with a setlist consisting of rock classics, your favourite pop songs with a rock twist and a few songs you have probably forgotten about but will instantly recognise. All of their songs will have you dancing, singing along with or pumping your fist in the air! One thing is for sure; this high-energy party band is sure to be a crowd pleaser and will definitely keep everyone entertained.

The Black Creek Band
The Black Creek Band are rapidly emerging as one of South East Queensland’s finest “Blues-Infused” Rock bands. A solid covers repertoire featuring artists such as BB King, Dr Feelgood, Kenny Wayne Shepherd, Joe Bonamassa and Omar and the Howlers and are now concentrating their efforts into the Black Creek Band’s collection of original material using the influence of previously mentioned artists as well as The Cadillac Three and the North Mississippi Allstars. The music is a mix of swamp blues-rock blended with modern blues and classic rock.

Saturday, February 16th saw an exciting performance by the AC/DC Bon Scott Experience tribute band at the Queensport Hotel. The weather looked a bit iffy around 7:00 with a bit of a sprinkle, but that didn’t last and was eventually replaced by a strong crowd of AC/ DC devotees. Fully costumed and pumped, the band got the crowd going from

their opening song. The atmosphere only got better as they worked their way through the legendary Bon Scott era of music and had no problem in getting the audience dancing all night long. Fans from seven to seventy seven were adorned in their favourite AC/DC t-shirts and vocalising their support of the group by singing along and rock’n their socks off.
