The Ladies in Red Premier Red Angus Event - The Open Heifers
Welcome back to the 4th annual Ladies in Red Event. We are excited to once again be offering some of the best Red Angus genetics in the business. Our families continue to stay close friends as our breeding goals and ideas stay similar. We are excited to present these goals and ideas for your consideration and evaluation. Not to sound like a broken record, but we feel this year’s offering is perhaps the best yet. It will be our continued goal to bring our customers great breeding opportunities from the top end of our programs year after year. As you page through the catalog you will find that if you are looking for females to show at the county or national level or looking for some solid foundation brood cows this set will not disappoint. There have been many heifers purchased from this sale in the past years that have gone on to win many major national shows, as well as countless regional and state fairs. But more importantly, many of these females have gone on to produce high quality offspring for our customers. We appreciate the business of our past customers and look forward to the opportunity to meet new ones. As always our families look forward to seeing you at the Ladies in Red Event. Please feel free to come early and join us for cattle viewing and hospitality on Friday. Michelle Weber will have a sampling of her amazing art work on display for people to enjoy or purchase as well. We hope to see you in Lake Benton.

One look and you will say brood cow potential. This heifer is one that will be great in the show ring but more importantly she will be a foundation breeding piece for your herd. We would highly recommend breeding her to Card Shark for a calf that is sure to be a grand slam!

When it comes to phenotype this heifer covers all the bases. She is out of a first calf heifer that weaned her off with a 109 WW ratio and earned a 103.6 MPPA. With so much style she is bound to show and with so many maternal legends in her pedigree she is going to make an unbelievable cow. Super gentle.

This April heifer has looked the part since day one. Ultra longnecked, bold-ribbed and square. We believe this heifer is a spitting image of “CJ”, the bred heifer we won with in Louisville in 2007. With her kind of look and numbers this heifer is going to make a huge impact on the future of her new owner. * Retaining one flush at seller’s expense and buyer’s convenience.

This female may be the most unique individual we have produced at TC Reds. Great body, big top and super stout with that extra sweep to her belly that will make her a front runner on the tanbark and in the pasture. If you don’t fall in love with her amazing look you are sure to fall for her sweet disposition. This heifer and Tucker share a special bond; not only did Tucker get the chance to show her the first time out, but they won their class and maybe what makes her most special to Tucker is that they share a birthday. She’s a hard one to let go. Make sure you check out this breed changer.

The foundation of the TC Reds program goes back to a cow named Luanna. I simply can’t find the words to explain what an impact the Luanna cow has made on our program. She was the second Red Angus female that we ever purchased. Luanna was Calli’s first Red Angus show heifer and little Calli and Luanna enjoyed lots of show ring success. One of the most memorable moments for our family was when Calli and Ty showed Luanna to Supreme Champion honors at the World Beef Expo back in 2002. It was truly the start of a legacy. At the age of fourteen we decided to go for one last hurrah and IVF Luanna to 3 Aces Sideways and resort for females. As usual Luanna did not disappoint us and as a result we are able to offer a guaranteed heifer pregnancy. This heifer will be a full sib to the Reserve Female at the 2013 NWSS Jr show for the Kramer family. If you have followed the TC Reds program you already know that Luanna is a cow that has produced many champions. She has produced three Denver champions, many state fair, and regional show champions. She has been mated to Hamley, Sideways, Card Shark and other sires and no matter the mating, it always clicks. Here is a chance to own a female that has definite show ring potential and certain donor program power! The Ladies in Red Premier Red Angus Event - The Genetic Opportunities

Doc Holliday has been a cornerstone of our breeding program. He represents what we strive for, extra muscle, rib and style. He won Denver in 2004 and his full brother, Dr. Phil won it in 2006. Doc sired the Red Angus female who won Louisville in 2007, Reserve Red Angus female in Denver 2009 and champion female in Houston 2011 (raised by Weidenbach Ranch, SD, sold to J6 Farms, NE.) He also sired, Card Shark, reserve champion Red Angus bull in Denver 2011. Consistently our high sellers are out of Doc or direct descendants, both bulls and heifers. A Doc Holliday son was champion Red Angus bull at the 2012 Blackhills Stock Show and was names Peoples Choice. He sold for $10,000 to Weidenbach Ranch/ Jensen Ranches of South Dakota. Package includes 10 straws of Doc Holliday semen.
Tomahawk was the lead off bull in our NWSS Reserve Pen of Three bulls in 2013. He was purchased by Six Mile Red Angus, which is one of the most distinguished Red Angus outfits in the world. He is a full brother to Card Shark and Double Down. Double Down was a member of our 2014 pen and went on to be Champion Red Angus Bull at the Black Hills Stock Show and sold for $17,000 to Slack Farms, SD. Tomahawks daughter sells as lot 6. Package includes 20 straws of Tomahawk semen.

Hamley has certainly had a tremendous impact on the programs and genetics involved in this sale. Furthermore, his influence on the breed grows each year. His progeny have dominated the show ring in past history, including the 2012 National Champion female. More importantly his progeny have been topping sales time and time again. At 6 years of age, Hamley remains extremely athletic with a sweet disposition. It has been asked “What does Hamley work on?”, “Do his daughters milk?”, “What do the udders look like?”; I believe the answer to those questions are now clear. Here is your opportunity to create a fleet of Hamley daughters to return to your herd. Package includes 3 straws of SEXED Hamley semen. 50
