Welcome to the “Cowboys” Red Angus sale! This is our second year in Knoxville Iowa and we are certainly looking forward to offering this group of Red Angus cattle to you. As I write this introduction, we have just finished videoing the bulls that will be offered to you in this event and to say it has been challenging with the recent weather we have been having would be an understatement. But the bright side of this change in weather is it will surely bring green grass this spring. I hope you don’t mind a bit of mud on these animals! Within the pages of this catalog, you will find cattle that represent several genetic lines that are sure to treat you well as you move forward with your cattle operation. We have been very fortunate to have entered into a partnership with the Rock Creek Red Angus program from Joliet, MT. You will find several lots here carrying the RCRA prefix on them. Some of them have been here since last spring when they came from Montana as pairs. Some arrived this fall after weaning. We will also have cattle from our friends in North Carolina, the Banfields of JK Red Angus. Their cattle also arrived last fall as well. They do a really good job with their cattle and they were well received in last year’s sale offering. We, of course, are from Iowa as well as the Damman family and the Cowtraks folks. I would encourage you to study the lots offered within the pages of this catalog to find the genetics that will work for you. I believe this is a great diversified offering that will work in almost any program out there. If you have any questions about any of the lots being offered I would encourage you to call the owners directly or I. We will be more than happy to help you in any way. The bulls we have had at our place since the fall have been feed a very high roughage ration with low energy sources added to them. We feel bulls fed in this fashion will last longer when they are breeding and there will be fewer issues with feet and structure as well. Quite frankly, we are trying to offer you bulls that will go home and work for you for as long as you need them to without issues. While we hope that you can attend the sale in person, we realize this may not be possible. This sale will be broadcast on DV Auction for your convenience and of course if you need to leave an absentee bid with myself or one of the sales staff you can rest assured those bids will be handled with the utmost of confidences. Dauntless is out of one of my favorite cows, the Tyra 2101Z cow was a personal favorite of mine and sold last August in the National Red Angus Sale, I’m sure she’s doing fantastic things for her new owner. His sire is the ever popular Firestorm, a bull that is now deceased and whose semen is getting harder to find and FAT whose value keeps going up. We sold 4 Firestorm sons in this sale last year, they -0.02 all stayed in Iowa and the post breeding reports I got from customers were very positive. Use Dauntless to add frame, length of body, and correctness of skeleton to your cow herd. I think this bull will make some fantastic replacement females.

Dare to Dream is the natural calf out of our Raven donor and man did she impress us with this stout dude! I think you have to see this bull in person to appreciate how 3-dimensional he really is, and he happens to be out of my new favorite herd sire, JDD CTRH Dream Look. Dream Look is a bull that we showed for 2 years and after his show career he became our go to sire, in both natural service and AI. The combination of the Cash X Mulberry genetics is one of the best and proven crosses not only for the Damman herd but also in Canada. 43E is a moderate birth weight bull coming in at 76 lbs. This female just does everything right, she’s beautiful to look at and is near perfect in her structure and skeleton. Terms & Conditions TERMS: Terms of the sale are cash, check, or other terms agreed to in writing between seller, buyer, and sale manager payable immediately upon conclusion of the sale before animals will be moved. Sale Manager reserves the right to require a certified check as settlement before releasing any cattle. Buyer hereby grants to Seller/Sale Manager a security interest in the livestock purchased to secure the payment of the purchase price, and Buyer further authorizes Seller/Sale Manager to file any necessary documents with any Secretary of State or other governmental entity necessary to perfect such security interest. ANNOUNCMENTS: Any errors or changes in information contained in the catalog will be announced from the block and such announcements shall take precedence over the information contained herein. BIDDING: Any disputes or challenges regarding bids or tie bids will be settled by the Auctioneer and the decision will be final. PURCHASER’S RISK: All animals are the owner’s risk prior to their sale and become property of the purchaser as soon as declared sold by the auctioneer. HEALTH: All animals are eligible for interstate shipment. Interstate health papers prepared by an accredited veterinarian will be furnished on each animal sold. Arrangements for International Shipment should be made with the Sale Manager prior to the auction. All efforts for the exportation of cattle can be arranged through the Sale Manager. BREEDING GUARANTEE: All animals are guaranteed by the seller as outlined in the Suggested Sale Terms of the Red Angus Association of America including but not limited to points 8 and 10.
