2024 Annual Production Sale at Moriondo Farms and MM Cattle Co.
november 2 , 2024 at 1 : 00 pm the moriondo farms & mm Cattle co . at the ranch in Mount Vernon, Missouri
Fellow Cattlemen and Cattlewomen,
It is with great excitement we invite you out to our Annual Fall Bull Sale, at Moriondo Farms and MM Cattle Company! This cattle market is a little bit of a roller coaster, but it sure seems to be a good time to be in the cow calf business! This fall we will have around 90 bulls ready to go to work, and when you see them, you’re going to see the pounds! We think from top to bottom this is the STOUTEST set of bulls we have ever produced. Pounds still pay and these herd bull prospects are going to add the payweight to a calf crop for an instant return on your investment!
The SimAngus bulls will be highlighted by our herd sire, KCC1 Walk the Line 076J, a bull that we purchased from Kearns Cattle Company in 2022. The calves sired by KCC1 Walk The Line 076J have impressed us since day one! They come easy with tremendous vigor and never look back. They are high performing cattle that offer tremendous spread from birth to weaning. There is no mistaking a calf from the “Walk The Line” sire group! We love the integrity of their structure; the foot shape that they possess is what we strive for. These herd sire prospects will crush the scales and do it in an easy keeping fashion! KCC1 Walk The Line 076J has been our go to option to utilized as an outcross breeding piece on many of the paternal sisters to bulls that each of you have purchased over the last few years. Along with the KCC1 Walk the Line 076J sons, we have some outstanding sons of TJ Chief 460G, E&B Wildcat 9042, TJ Nebraska 258G, CCR 5532 Cowboy 5115F, MR SR Highlife G1609 and a few other prominent sires represented throughout the offering. The Angus selection is light in quantity but very high in quality! It is highlighted by sons of E&B Wildcat 9402, K C F Bennett Exponential, and Conley Verified 0853.
We remain focused on the cow herd, as you study the catalog look at the familiar cow names that continue to surface. We are proud of the cows that continue to produce time and time again, they are not just one hit wonders! There is predictability and genetic consistency running through maternal foundation of our breeding program. We continue to keep our customer’s bottom line as our main objective, we slow grow our bulls with a high roughage diet. We do not push these bulls, which in turn helps make them last like they should. It is why we have the confidence in these bulls to offer a full year guarantee! We have continued to invest in new genetics to offer the very best product possible for our loyal customer base.
Our dedicated crew continues to blow us away every year with their hard work and dedication. Nathan and the entire staff here in Mount Vernon put their heart into it every single day and we are so very thankful for them! We are very appreciative of our past customers and the new ones to come! We take great pride in your confidence to invest in our program and the belief that you have in our bulls to produce your next generations of calves. Come join us for lunch and take a look at these studs on November 2, 2024. I am confident that you will not be disappointed! Call Nathan or I anytime, we are here for you and will be glad to show you around!
Thank you for your interest and God Bless, Mark Moriondo
Welcome,
Anyone affiliated with success in production and animal agriculture knows and understands the amount of sweat equity and time one has to invest in the enterprise. Those that comprehend the value of hard work and commitment to the investment are generally the ones who experience success, but that success does not happen overnight! Larry and Rita Moriondo, like those before them, understood the basic values and principles in being disciplined, frugal, and staying the course to be the very best in their budding agriculture endeavor several years ago. They will tell you of the sacrifices that ultimately led to the rewarding accomplishments that laid the foundation for what Moriondo Farms is known as today.
Moriondo Farms is a multi-generation, diversified production, agricultural entity that really knows no boundaries when it comes to understanding the ultimate value of quality. Quality in sod, quality in row crop, quality in a beef operation that is primarily comprised of one of the best sets of commercial cows in the fescue belt which has led to them improving upon and setting the standard for their seedstock operation. The operation that has you reading this letter was built with a commercial mindset, and that’s why the bull offering improves annually. These bulls have worked for many of you repeat buyers for so long and that is because they sort them on quality, disposition, and industry demands when they breed them, wean them, and develop them for your respective appraisal twice annually.
The genetics within the covers of this catalog are the same genetics used in the aggressive commercial sector of the family operation. Mark has been very key in the selection of the herd sires and dams that continue the legacy and build the brand. We feel as though that this set is as good as they have ever offered, and we know what’s in the pipeline to follow. This set of SimGenetic studs features multiple paternal brothers by one of the great young herdsires of the program acquired from Kearns Cattle Company that they refer to as KCC1 Walk The Line 076J. When we were at the Spring Sale and then stopped through in the summer, it was very evident that the cattle from that sire were as good as any set of bulls to trade this past spring as yearlings. The great set of herd sire prospects definitely will not disappoint as we are very certain that your selections on sale day will be more that ever. Opportunity presents itself, so take advantage of what the good family has set in front of you for your appraisal.
It is always our pleasure to work with the great team in Mount Vernon, Missouri. They are truly one of the greatest families in the business and they use the same stock within the barbed wire fences within their own program. The Moriondo team certainly has faith and proof in results of what these cattle can do for any progressive outfit. If you should have any questions or need any other assistance with purchasing your next herd sire, please feel to reach out to anyone affiliated with the Moriondo brand or the Innovation AgMarketing team. We look forward to seeing and visiting with each and every one of you.
As always, thank you for your time and interest and please enjoy the stock.
