Dedication
(v): to devote wholly and earnestly, as to some person or purpose.
On the left are nine characteristics of dedication. You might find yourself nodding your head and reflecting on the accuracy of the list as it applies to your program. Let’s face it, if we were not dedicated to our programs, we would not survive this business. We want you to know that here at Windy Creek Cattle Company, we are also deeply dedicated to your family, your program, and your profitability. Now, more than ever, your profit is reliant on the performance of your calves. We can’t control the cattle market, nor can we control input costs. We can, however, control the breeding decisions we make. The cattle offered here have been bred for performance and longevity. Developing a cow herd with good feet and legs, ideal udders, and good disposition does not happen overnight. This, all backed by trusted performance data, is the culmination of hard decisions and solid investments. Our dedication to those traits has resulted in consistent and predictable genetics that once again has allowed us to produce what we feel is “the best set yet.” We welcome back guest consigners the Blagg Family- Kevin, Amber, Abby, and Ryan; and Hofer Farms- Travis, Sage, Ralstyn, and Suttyn. They share the same values and commitment when it comes to customer success. Preparing for and hosting sale weekend is a large undertaking, and we appreciate their continued support and friendship. Our greatest dedication though, is to the next generation of Windy Creek Cattle Company. For those of you in the midst of raising the next generation, take the time to ask them what their hopes and dreams are for the ranch. Notice every plow mark made in the carpet, corral set-up with toothpicks and floss, and popcorn kernels in the feed bunk, because that is them building their dream. Help them get there with solid investments today; invest in a program that is as dedicated to your goals as you are. Sincerely,
Jeremy, Bethany, Cash and Emerson

“My brother and I have been buying bulls from Jeremy for 5 years now and will continue to. He supplies us with bulls that have top of the line genetics and a great disposition to go with it. When calves out of his bulls are born, they go to work right away and don’t stop until the day they leave the farm. Weaning day is always a fun one because we get to find out how the calves did in the pasture, but it is an even better day when we sell because it’s unreal how much growth they have had in the feedlot. At the end of the day for my brother and I’s operation it is all about adding pounds to the calves and Windy Creek Cattle Company has helped us to become more profitable with every bull purchase.” - Kasey and Jon Gehrels – Wentworth, South Dakota

THE PROFIT THROUGH PERFORMANCE SALE
As the world population grows, so does the demand for safely produced consumable protein sources. We all know that Americanproduced and harvested beef is the most desired despite all the rhetoric about plant-based options and the uneducated claims that cattle harm the land and the environment. The Beef Industry continues to thrive and leads all classes in the animal protein supply in overall demand. Sure, the consumer has to make decisions due to inflation, but more often than not, beef is preferred at the meat counter. Most seedstock producers strive to enhance their genetics to meet the demands of the industry standards in terms of payweight and carcass merit to assist in gathering premiums as they are available. At Windy Creek Cattle it’s a daily devotion to make the stock better in every way possible to allow you, the customer, the advantages needed to stay profitable with each calf crop that you have sired by the bulls that carry the WINC prefix. Jeremy Lehrman shows no fear or hesitation when he sets his mind on herd sire acquisition. The bulls that headline the sire battery for the WINC prefix carry the A.I. sire credentials and are used heavily through some of the country’s most prestigious and reputable SimGenetic operations. Visual size and performance with EPD and weighted values that truly match the stock come first and foremost in the selection process. Sires like CKCC Relevant 0639H, W/C Revolution 65G continue to spotlight the sale reports over the recent years, but the highly anticipated freshman class of the W/C Dabo 703J and the R&R Testament J155 progeny may change that tune after March 3rd. This will be one of the most exciting offerings of SimGenetic bulls ever assembled by Spencer, SD. Phenotypically the quality is extremely deep and numerically amazing with several prospects leading their contemporaries within the database for multiple traits. The Jeremy Lehrman Family and their genetic partners are incredible people who will provide the very best in customer service. They understand your needs and exercise “the golden rule” in business. Jeremy and his son Cash have built this program with disciplined goals and patience. The end product is uniform from one end to the other as the cowherd has been sorted time and time again to make sure the outfit continues to improve overall consistency within the offering and the pastures of McCook County. Lehrman built this program with limited funds and sweat equity fueled by passion and drive. So, if you are considering doing business, do not hesitate as it will be a great experience and your cowherd will appreciate you as much as your banker for your genetic investment to improve the end product. We plan to see you and your family on March 3.

THE PROFIT THROUGH PERFORMANCE SALE
A GUIDE TO EXPECTED PROGENY DIFFERENCES Expected Progeny Differences (EPDs): EPDs are the most accurate and effective tool available for comparing genetic levels. In using EPDs, the difference between two sires’ EPDs represents the unit difference expected in the performance of their progeny. For example, if sires A and B have EPDs of +10 and –5, a 15-unit difference would be expected in their progeny (moving from -5 to +10 yields 15 units). Key to using EPDs is knowing what units they are expressed in. For example, if the above case referred to weaning weight EPDs, A would be expected to sire 15-pounds more weaning weight than B. If calving ease were the trait, A would be expected to sire 15-percent more unassisted births in first-calf heifers; in other words, if B sired 30 assists in a group of 100 heifers, we’d expect A to require 15 assists. A percentile-ranking chart is required to determine where a bull’s EPDs rank him relative to other bulls in the breed. For percentile rankings or more detailed information about EPDs and $ indexes visit www.simmental.org. Listed below are the units ASA EPDs are expressed in: • • • • • • • • • • • • • • •
Calving Ease (CE): Percent of unassisted births when used on heifers. Birth Weight (BW): Pounds of birth weight. Calving Ease (CE): Percent of unassisted births when used on heifers. Weaning Weight (WW): Pounds of weaning weight. Yearling Weight (YW): Pounds of yearling weight. Maternal Calving Ease (MCE): Percent of unassisted births in first-calving daughters. Milk (MLK): Pounds of weaning weight due to milk. Maternal Weaning Weight (MWW): Pounds of weaning weight due to milk and growth. Stayability (STAY): Percent of daughters remaining in the cowherd at 6 years of age. Carcass Weight (CW): Pounds of carcass weight. Yield Grade (YG): Yield grade score. Marbling (MRB): Marbling score. Back Fat (BF): Inches of backfat. Ribeye Area (REA): Square inches of ribeye. All-Purpose Index (API): Dollars per cow exposed under an all-purpose-sire scenario. (See below for more details.) Terminal Index (TI): Dollars per cow exposed under a terminal-sire scenario. (See below for more details.)
$ Indexes: Though EPDs allow for the comparison of genetic levels for many economically important traits, they only provide a piece of the economic puzzle. That’s where $ indexes come in. Through well- conceived, rigorous mathematical computation, $ indexes blend EPDs and economics to estimate an animal’s overall impact on your bottom line. The same technology that led to the dramatic progress in swine, poultry and dairy genetics over the last several decades was used to develop the following $ indexes: All-Purpose Index (API): Evaluates sires for use on the entire cow herd (bred to both Angus first-calf heifers and mature cows) with the portion of their daughters required to maintain herd size retained and the remaining heifers and steers put on feed and sold grade and yield. Terminal Index (TI): Evaluates sire for use on mature Angus cows with all offspring put on feed and sold grade and yield. Using API and TI: First, determine which index to use; if you’re keeping replacements use API, if not, TI. Then, just as with EPDs, zero in on the unit difference between bulls. (As described above, index units are in dollars per cow exposed.) The difference can be used to determine how much a bull is worth compared to another. Or, put another way, how much you can pay for one bull compared to another. For example, when buying an all-purpose-type sire, you can quickly figure a bull scoring +100 for API is worth an extra $6,000 over a +50 bull if both are exposed to 30 cows over 4 years ($50 diff. x 30 hd. x 4 yr. = $6,000). A percentile-ranking chart is required to determine where a bull’s index value ranks him relative to other bulls in the breed. For percentile rankings or more detailed information about EPDs and $ indexes visit www.simmental.org.

THE RELEVANT SIRE GROUP
LOT 1 We initiate the 2024 edition of the ‘Profit Through Performance’ in the same place as we did last year, the sons of our resident herdsire, CKCC Relevant 0639H. The ES Right Time FA110-4 son was our $45,000 selection out of the 2021 CK Cattle offering, and has matured into one of the most impressive mature breeding bulls we have acquired. Last year saw the rookie season of the CKCC Relevant 0639H influence, and they quickly found the support of cattleman that recognize the value of power genetics and adding growth. WINC Relevant 365L is a purebred, homozygous polled and homozygous black growth promoter. He stands up the latter claim both genomically and with his own impressive growth trends. His EPD tabulations rank him among the most elite in the entire registry from a growth and performance standpoint with a triple digit WW figure that ranks top 1% and furthermore sports top 1% YW and ADG rankings. He himself weaned off his third calving dam with 865 lbs. and went onto mature impressively by recording a 114 YWR. This is the kind that you come to Windy Creek to buy, one that will inject massive amounts of pay weight, the major driving factor of profitability in our mind!

WINC OUTLAW 015H Maternal Brother to Lot 2
WINC Relevant 365L follows the trend of a cow family that is quickly reaching the limelight of the program. And this doesn’t come through sire searching and embryo technology but via a female that is consistently generating incredible results year in and year out and has proved herself the traditional way. This CKCC Relevant 0639H son is not just a leading option when it comes providing a surefire option to add payweight to a calf crop, but comes with the security of trusting in a cow family that has consistently produced herd bulls employed by progressive seedstock and commercial cow/calf operations. The resume of the WINC 801F female is remarkable. It begins with a maternal brother, WINC Outlaw 015H who was a highlight of the 2021 ‘Profit Through Performance’ that sold to the Long Family of Creston, Iowa. It has been fun to witness the success that Outlaw 015H has had for the program, including a sale highlighting $7,250 daughter that sold just a month ago. Another maternal brother, WINC Revolution 139J was the $10,000 selection of the Andera Ranch in 2022. Then in 2023 another high performing full brother to Lot 2 sold to Steve Strom for $17,500. Needless to say, there is absolutely power in the blood here and it’s by no chance that you will find great quality in this Relevant son!

WINC/WAGR Relevant 334L is the second son of the past sale highlighting and $24,000 high selling, WINC 023H female that Wager Cattle selected out of the 2022 sale as a bred heifer. Her first son by ES Statement GZ33 was the $15,000 selection of Western Cattle Source in last year’s ‘Profit Through Performance’ and we are excited to see what that futuristic numbered and impressive phenotypic stud will produce for their program. This year, the son by CKCC Relevant 0639H takes the level of phenotypic quality to another level, and offers a different set of EPD advantages. The homozygous polled and homozygous black, purebred trends with added growth, ranking top 25% for YW and top 20% ADG. Both of his profitability indexes score top 25%, and this is driven by his very unique combination of top 15% Marb and REA rankings, two traits that commonly are antagonistic of one another. Here we have a combination, cowherd improver that offers the resources to positively push a program in just about any direction that is asked of him. WINC Relevant 340L is a higher percentage, homozygous polled and homozygous black stud that is certainly one of the most impressive built, powerfully designed herd bulls that will sell March 3rd! Truly you would struggle to build them much more impressive than this CKCC Relevant 0639H son and we think that he will be the choice of cattleman that are demanding some extra punch and shape in their progeny. Ones that want to truly realize the upper price points on offer and find the eyes of premium buyers come marketing time. He stems from a high selling bred heifer purchase at Werning’s that goes back to their legendary Miss Werning 174Y donor who is a full sister to 8543U that has an age-old record of producing performance driven and real-world progeny. His powerhouse maternal brother by W/C Revolution 65G sold in last year’s sale ‘Profit Through Performance’ for $12,000 to longtime supporter of the program, Chad Tuschen.

BLAG Relevant 302L is will be easy to find with his stout features, dimensional build and gentle giant nature. Built wide from the ground up, he is sure to quickly add dollars to your bottom line with the opportunity for hybrid vigor he brings to many cowherds. If your marketing program consists of selling cattle at weaning time, then BLAG Relevant 302L presents himself as a prime candidate for inspection. This recommendation comes with validity from both his 814 lbs. adj. WW that went on to ratio a 110 and the genomically enhanced growth predictions that he delivers, that include top 10% WW, top 4% YW and top 3% ADG rankings. His mother, Wiregrass Barbie 705F is proving to be a herd bull generator, her 2020 born calf by Bullseye sold for $9000 to Ron Gilliland of California and his maternal brother, BLAG Revolution 321L that sells as Lot 53 will be one of the most impressive herd bull prospects that will go under the hammer this year!

LOT 6 WINC Relevant 359L is the massive ended, heavy muscled and bold sprung three quarter blood that offers cattleman an instant injection of industry leading carcass yield and ribeye area. His 1.24 REA trait ranks in the upper 1% of the entire registry and is accompanied by a top 3% Yield Grade figure, meaning he represents a leading option for a cowman that runs British blooded cows that need a quick injection of hybrid vigor and power. His maternal brother in last year’s sale sold to longtime friend of the program, David Carlson for $10,000, this year’s addition to the family tree shares his same ability to sire consistency with his homozygous polled and homozygous black status.

THE RELEVANT SIRE GROUP A 5/8th blooded son of the leading CKCC Relevant 0639H that will add pounds and profit to the cowherd in the first generation. His top 15% WW, YW and ADG rankings are scientific proof that he will add growth to his progeny, and his 108 YWR sure backs up the claims with some more quantitative cowboy logic. His maternal pedigree is supported by one of the most reliable and consistent mating’s in program history with a Remington Lock N Load 54U daughter on the ALC Treasure C50P matriarch. His maternal sister, WINC 1111J who was sired by W/C Revolution 65G sold to Charles Goldammer last year.

BLAG Relevant 307L is a homozygous polled and homozygous black stud that offers combinations of growth improvement and impressive carcass advancements. He will increase ribeye area and yield grades in a calf crop, traits that have particular importance to those who may retain some ownership through feeding and sell progeny over a grid marketing scenario where premiums are offered for added yield.

WINC MATTER OF TIME 249K Maternal Brother to Lot 11
WINC Dabo 318L complies all that is good about the power of consistent genetics. We lead off the freshman class of W/C Dabo 703J sons with a maternal brother to the pair of ES Right Time FA110-4 sons that garnered lots of attention last year. WINC Matter Of Time 249K and WINC Right Time 263K were the topic of many a discussion leading into the 2023 ‘Profit Through Performance’. WINC Matter Of Time 249K eventually became the $37,500 purchase of Diamond M Cattle and Werning Cattle Company, and Western Cattle Source made the $11,500 investment in WINC Right Time 263K. It is with bereavement that we too announce the loss of their mother, W/C Miss Werning 638D, a female that has had an immense impact on the forefront of the program. Her legacy will be built upon those sons aforementioned and this newest addition to the band of brothers. The homozygous polled and homozygous black purebred has a phenotype that will appease the most discerning, this is a bull that from the ground up remains wide and dimensional with a massive hindquarter and expressive stifle.

LAZY H/RJ UNDISPUTED C33 Maternal Brother to the Dam of Lot 12
WINC Dabo 3130L is what we had dreamed up when we made the investment in his sire at the 2022 Werning Cattle Company Production Sale. This perfect marked blaze faced stud is absolutely one impressive specimen, and he checks lots of boxes for a cattleman that is interesting in taking his program to the next level in regards to muscle, growth, and pedigree. The homozygous polled, growth promoter casts a very burly outline, and is packed full of red meat from one end of his skeleton to the other. His maternal pedigree reads of a cow family that has certainly produced for firms nationwide, and his dam is a maternal sister to the promotional sire, Lazy H/RJ Undisputed C33. Genomically he ranks impressive for adding growth, with top 10% WW, top 4% YW and top 3% ADG, additionally you will find top 2% CW and REA and top 5% BF rankings. The Dabo 703J sons are going to find lots of friends on sale day, and we think they are a sire group that best fills the void that the passing of ES Surelock ZW15 leaves. They will carry the torch when it comes to adding length of spine, scale, ribeye area, red meat yield, and most importantly masses of growth and performance. WINC Dabo 3132L reminds us a lot of the best baldy faced Surelock sons we have sold over the years, and the ones that have gone onto generate massive returns on investment for commercial and registered cowmen across the nation. He is built with extra muscle shape and expression, and we think that he will transmit this across to his progeny. The black hided and polled progeny will stand out from the cohort, and we think there is a good chance that they will weigh heavier too with his top 15% WW & YW predictions. The pair of full brothers tagged Lots 14 & 15 offer leading options for a stockman that wants to improve the growth and pay weight of his calf crop, without sacrificing maternal strengths. These W/C Dabo 703J sons will really suit a program that is planning to retain the female progeny for use back in the cowherd. They stem from a female we utilize in our small but stringent embryo transfer program, and one that stems from the potency of the Remington Lock N Load 54U and ALC Treasure C50P mating. ALC Treasure C50P has been a cornerstone piece for our breeding program, and her legacy will long be felt by her female descendants. The maternal brother to this pair that sold in last year’s production sale was one of the burliest and heaviest muscled W/C Revolution 65G sons we have raised to date, he was the choice of Brad Greenway.

A quadrant of brothers that offer opportunities for added consistency and heterosis. Individually or in a multi service sire pasture, these sons of the W/C Dabo 703J x WINC Miss 624D combination are going to inject favorable growth and performance. Each one of the brothers ranks impressively for WW, YW, ADG, MWW and REA. In 2023 a maternal brother by WINC Mahomes 979G was the $9,000 selection of Trevor Jacobson, and in 2022 three maternal brothers by ES Surelock ZW15 sold to Rob Maeschen, Brad Greenway & Colin Johnson. THE DABO SIRE GROUP WINC Dabo 342L is a February born, homozygous polled and homozygous black three quarter blood son of Dabo 703J that is ultra rugged in his conformation, perfect in his markings, and dense in his muscle shape. Even though he is a brute, we love his eye appealing composition and the way he carries his mass in motion. However, these are all just ornaments to the incredible way he reads for performance and carcass with top 1% rankings for WW, YW, MWW, CW and REA. His dam, BUUS Miss Cowboy Cut F13 is one to tie to, this young cow has already proven herself with a Surelock ZW15 son that the cowboys of the Andera Ranch selected for $13,500 in 2022 and a $9,000 Relevant 0639H son for Michael Gottlob last year.

The W/C Express Lane 29G sired cattle have proven over several breeding seasons to be the kind that will sire progeny that come easy at birth and are quick to rally towards weaning. The three that sell as Lots 27 through 29 offer some variation in regard to their advantages, but as a whole are stock that are going to add phenotypic quality, consistently polled progeny, to many cowherds an outcross pedigree, and imperatively a design that is built for the long haul! H/F Mr Express Lane 908L is the roundest bodied, burliest ended of the trio. He ranks top 30% for CED, and top 15% for REA. He offers a world of good to a stockman that doesn’t want to chase a trend to quickly or single trait select, but is interested in whole herd improvement and adding another layer of solid built, high quality genetics to the equation. In last year’s sale, Jerry and David Eichacker selected his maternal brother, H/F Mr VIP 908K as their next herd builder. W/C EXPRESS LANE 29G Sire of Lots 27-29 26

LOT 28 The heaviest weaning son of W/C Express Lane 29G is H/F Mr Express Lane 905L. You will also find highlights in the carcass division of his dataset with top 5% REA and top 15% YG figures.

In the spring of 2022 we came across a son of WS Proclamation E202 at Steve Reimer’s that we thought would make a really nice addition to the herd sire battery, mainly because the calving ease numbers he offered and the outcross pedigree he offered to the replacement heifer pen. But now sitting back and looking at this freshman class of sons we realize that he is most definitely sire that will make an impact to the future of the WINC program. WINC Testament 347L will not be one that is hard to identify on sale day, just set your search parameters for a baldy faced, massive ended, barrel bodied, rugged boned stud that is balanced in his proportions and fun to look at. Beyond the obvious phenotypic drawcards, those who place emphasis on the science will be appeased by his genomic profile, with his above breed average CE that flips to top 10% WW & ADG and top 5% YW & MWW rankings. Additionally he ranks top 15% Milk, top 4% CW, top 30% REA and top 15% TI. His dam is a W/C Revolution 65G sired daughter of the W/C Miss Werning 638D donor, making her a full sister to Lloyd Jones herd bull, WINC Revolution 196J he bought out of the 2022 sale.

MR SR Mic Drop G1534 has become a popular choice of stockmen that are wanting to build cattle with real world performance, very favorable calving ease, a balanced phenotype and outcross pedigree. Here we have the son of another purchased bred heifer that knocked it out of the park with her first opportunity. This is the first son of the WCS Ms Shelby 1806J female that we purchased from our good friends, Jock & Brenda Beeson at Western Cattle Source. She was a member of their 2023 NWSS Reserve Grand Champion Pen of Three Purebred Females, and stood out because of her presence and look of balance. Many will say she reminds them the most of her dominant producing dam, 6019D. Her maternal brothers have averaged north of $7,000 per head in their bull sale, including a heifer bull that services the replacement pen for Sullivan Farms. This homozygous polled and homozygous black three quarter blood son of the $47,500 Mr W/C Trifecta 975J is most certainly a leading heifer bull candidate that exhibits a very trendy phenotype! LOT 41 Only one son of ES Statement GZ33 sells in 2024, yet this purebred herd bull would help convince you that you need to mass breed the herd to GZ33 because he is something special. WINC Statement 3124L tabulates impressive across the board and is expressively shaped, square hipped and well balanced. The homozygous polled brute is impressive in the flesh, and dimensional from every angle, we think his opportunity to inject a potent shot of hybrid vigor is high and he carries the backing of a beautiful daughter of ES Right Time FA110-4 that we purchased from the Thomas Ranch. Keep in mind that he would be one of the youngest bulls in the offering, yet his large 37cm scrotal measurement that was taken at the end of January foreshadows that he will be more than ready to see cows whenever you open the gate.

LOT 42 It will be hard to provide an encore performance of what the OMF Epic E27 sons showcased in 2023 at the ‘Profit Through Performance’ but we are proud to present a very deep set of the ranchman’s kind in Lots 42 through 50 for 2024. WINC Epic 321L is a prime example of why there is such a vast group of Epic supporters across the nation, he comes with a tick more moderation frame wise but still packs a punch muscle wise and will sire progeny that supply serious scale pressure at every stage after their stress-free calving. This purebred tested both homozygous polled and homozygous black and comes with a dataset that is unlike few you will find, with only one trait ranking slightly outside of the better 50th percentile. His first calving dam is a flush mate sister to the leadoff son of Revolution 65G that sold for $16,000 to Robert Bosworth in last year’s sale. Further investigation into his dataset is well worth the time, because we think that this combination sire offers opportunities for cowherd development, even among programs with varying production goals or methods.

WINC REVOLUTION 275K Full Brother to Lot 55
We knew it was going to be an exciting year when the first one on the ground was WINC Revolution 300L. He has always been one of the stoutest, boldest and heavy constructed bulls of this cohort. He is the result of a flush with W/C Revolution 65G and the WINC Miss 614D donor. 614D comes from the potency of the Remington Lock N Load 54U and ALC Treasure C50P mating. ALC Treasure C50P is a cow family that should be recognizable to friends of the program, as her daughters still form the backbone of the cowherd today. He puts together everything we set our selection criteria around, true growth in his own right, tested homozygous polled and homozygous black, ranks impressively for WW, YW, ADG, Milk and MWW. Take note of his top 25% MCE number, this trait reflects the calving ease abilities of his daughters if they were to be retained for breeding, certainly a trait that is worth mentioning. THE REVOLUTION SIRE GROUP Pay attention to this W/C Revolution 65G son, as he stands out as unique individual regardless of where you inspect him, at the scale, in the pen or on paper, and the addition of the legendary Lock N Load x C50P on the bottom side of his pedigree only helps his case. In fact he would be a full brother in blood to Lot 55 and a full brother to Michael Gottlob’s $10,000 purchase of WINC Revolution 283K last year. Phenotypically he is wide, deep and dense, built all upon a bone structure that reads with integrity. Good beef here, and would be as acceptable from a calving ease standpoint as you will find in the sire group.

If you’re in the market for a no fuss, extreme power and red meat generating herd sire then set your satchel down here. He is a full brother to Hunter Gregerson’s $11,500 purchase last year, that continues the family tradition of big time growth promoters! WINC Revolution 390L fits the bill if you are needing to quickly add pounds and consistency to your cowherd, we can assure you his progeny will stand out when it’s time to hit the weaning pen. There has not been a more important time to invest in growth genetics, you will be paid tenfold with this bearish market.

THE REVOLUTION SIRE GROUP The cow family reputation that accompanies WINC Revolution 354L is not for the fair hearted. He is supported by three power house brothers that leave him big shoes to fill. His Hook’s Baltic 17B sired dam has proven herself with 4 remarkable natural born sons and is headed for legendary status. Her 2022 born son WINC Relevant 292K was Lot 1 last year and sold for $16,000 to Hofer Farms. The two prior born brothers now work for Brandon Riedl and Rob Maeschen.

Following on from the immense cow power that supports Lot 58, we switch gears to the strengths of the recently passed, W/C Miss Werning 638D. While her death was untimely, we do feel lucky to have several sons and daughters that we plan to utilize heavily in herd to carry the legacy. This Revolution 65G son is a maternal brother to WINC Matter Of Time 249K, a bull that we hold massive expectations for and cannot wait to see what his future holds for the Diamond M Cattle and Werning Cattle Company programs.

THE SURELOCK SIRE GROUP We aren’t sure there will be a replacement for ES Surelock ZW15 and what his influence did for building out cowherd, customer base and reputation. He was a once in a lifetime kind of sire that we were lucky to find earlier in the timeline of the program rather than later. This year five direct sons of Surelock will sell, and they conform to all the quality that built the legacy. WINC Surelock 350L would run right with the best ES Surelock ZW15 sons that we have ever sold phenotypically, add the fact that he is a purebred, homozygous polled, homozygous black and absolutely elite in his tabulations there is certainly reasons for his promotion to any herdsire battery in the nation.
LOT 60
Hofer Farms is supplying the goods with this direct son of ES Surelock ZW15, who is a maternal brother to the choice of Mark Palmquist last year. Needless the say, one thing that will never go out of fashion in this business is pounds, and H/F Mr Surelock 910L is certainly going to be the supplier of those! A true power bull that brings added muscle expression, width of base and a true horsepower phenotype to the table. He is just an impressive in person as you will find in his picture and video. He sports top 15% YW and top 10% ADG traits that he will pass along to his progeny.

THE SURELOCK SIRE GROUP Kappes Sadie T635 Y302 is most definitely a legendary and cornerstone type female for WINC. In the 2019 Production Sale, Jackpot Cattle Company selected a full brother to this pair, WINC Farmhand 857F who in the short time he saw breeding duties proved to be a wise investment, producing well above expectations both in Spencer and for the Duxbury’s before his untimely passing. In the 2021 ‘Profit through Production’ Sale, a maternal brother sired by W/C Foundation 2135E was the $65,000 high selling bull to Western Cattle Source and Werning, now known as WINC Next Generation 0111H. A pair of maternal sisters by W/C Fort Knox 609F were high sellers in the bred heifer division of the 2022 sale, to average $14,250. The third sister of that trio was retained, and she is now best known as the dam of the $147,500 WINC All Right 213K that Griswold Cattle and Maple Lane Farms purchased last year. Two full brothers to this pair also sold last year, they commanded $15,500 & 10,500 to Reed McCormick and Michael Gottlob respectively. Long story short, the potency of the Y302 female has proven itself as consistently as any, and this pair of herd bull prospects carry the quality that we have come to expect.

We think WINC Capital 3112L has immense levels of phenotypic value to provide for cowherds around America and that he is going to sire structural integrity, ideal maturity, added maternal value and fool proof breeding capabilities. THE CAPITAL SIRE GROUP Another high performing son of Capital 0625H that made his presence felt in the weaning pen. WINC Capital 3147L came off his Hooks Shear Force 38K sired dam with 848 lbs. to record a 111 WWR. He too was noted with over 1400 lbs. with his adjusted yearling weight. Between the complimentary dose of hybrid vigor he will inject and the top 15% WW & YW figures he will transmit you can plan on his progeny mashing down on the scale. Being out of the tenured WINC Miss 302A makes him a maternal brother to the high producing, WINC Miss 507C female that is best recognized as the mother of WINC Mahomes 979G.

A maternal brother to Kevin Burggraff’s purchase out of the 2021 ‘Profit Through Performance’ that has a similar set of phenotypic strengths. His performance came naturally and when it came time to tabulate the bull test results, he registered almost 4 lbs. of gain a day. WINC Capital 3143L is smooth built, with a long muscle pattern, that carries his power deep into his stifle and hind quarter. Not many high growth bulls read with the same longevity and integrity that you will find here.

THE YEARLING BULLS The first-born son the past sale highlight from the Blagg family, BLAG Mr Husker 2J. He will supply an unrivaled level of consistency in his calf crop with the careful use of linebreeding the legendary Partisover Barbie 131X in his pedigree, it appears distantly in both his maternal and paternal pedigrees. We think BLAG Husker 304L is built with many similarities to his $15,000 sire that Kevin Noonan purchased in the 2022 sale being extra bold in his middle third, mature in his bone composition and reads with an early maturing growth pattern.

LOT 101 A pair of bred heifers that would be maternal and full sisters to certainly some of the most memorable and recognizable individuals to sell through the ’Profit Through Performance’. The Kappes Sadie T635 Y302 donor dam was ahead of her time in regard to what she passed along for phenotype, and with that she still excelled at supplying maternal traits on paper and in person. Her influence is the kind that is wise to tie to whenever the chance becomes available because she has proven to supply a base that clicks with anything we throw her way. Maternal sisters to the pair include the W/C Fort Knox 609F sired, $21,000 Griswold and Maple Lane Farms daughter, and the dam of the same firms $147,500 purchase in WINC All Right. A full brother to these 609F sired animals would be Orville Skogen’s $23,500 bull he bought in 2021. The combination of Y302 with the influence of Surelock and his sons proved just as potent, and includes the $65,000 Next Generation 0111H for Western Cattle Source and Werning.

She is blessed with an absolute show stealing phenotype, truly we do not think you could not paint one any better, and her build is indicative of the most elite type of production beef cattle regardless of color! Her dam, WEBR Expectation 7104 was a very successful show heifer for the Beninga Family, culminating her show career with the Supreme Champion Female banner at the 2019 Black Hills Stock Show just days after we had purchased her. There is a long list of maternal brothers to Lot 106 that have sold through past editions of the ’Profit Through Performance’ and there are several maternal sisters to WINC Miss 2124K that have been retained in herd. Long story short she stems from a cow family of significance and we think is just a mating away from beginning her own exciting story.

Pick your poison here with two daughters of the WINC Miss 507C donor that present many similarities from a dataset perspective but allow for choices and preferences to be made on some phenotypic traits. Either way you can expect to find impressive additions of pay weight and carcass qualities from these females’ datasets, and both are homozygous polled and homozygous black. The most obvious difference in the pair comes with the markings of the blaze faced ES Surelock ZW15 daughter that may be the longer sided on of the two, but the bigger and rounder bodied female of the pair would be the W/C Revolution 65G daughter. Either way we think this is a fun duo to compare notes on and both have resumes that set up successful future breeding tenures.

THE FEMALE OFFERING WINC MISS 2114K aligns the stars with a combination of look, presence, structure and intrigue. While she sports all the fancy features phenotypically, underneath the hide she comes with all the credentials necessary for a female that is going to produce for programs that are geared towards increasing performance and power. The CKCC Relevant 0639H daughter is further backed by the ES Surelock ZW15 influence, lining up these two forces of the breeding artillery has resulted in big league results.

Only semen on CKCC Relevant 0639H to sell in 2024!
We have always been fans of the ES Right Time FA110-4 cattle, and the first opportunity we got to purchase one we took full advantage! CKCC Relevant 0639H struck us hard when we saw him at Effling’s, he is ultra-complete, great looking, impeccable on the move and just continues to mature with phenotypic quality. We absolutely love the what his progeny are doing for the industry. His sons sell on the early pages of this book, they are so much more than we could have hoped for, being complete, with big performance numbers but still built to thrive through busy breeding seasons. His first daughters to sell highlight the female offering as well! We don’t have plans to market this semen any other time of the year, and this sale will be your only chance for the 2024 breeding season!

W/C REVOLUTION 65G Lot 203 Semen Sire
W/C Revolution 65G is one of the most potent sources of performance that has a registration number in the ASA herdbook, the proof is in the pudding with sons that smash the scales every time they run over it. These cattle are extreme when it comes to adding pay weight and pounds, they are big scaled, long bodied and wide. High sellers include $90,000 for Werning, and our high seller in 2022 that sold to the Goeken family was also a Revolution son. They are cattle that are commercially accepted but have the added feature to interest seedstock producers, little semen has ever been marketed, and unfortunately he passed away the summer of 2022 so inventory is limited, now is the time to secure yours! 68

A Word from our Customers “Since we started using Jeremy’s bulls several years ago, we noticed a drastic improvement in both the quality and disposition of our calves. We received the ultimate of compliments when an order buyer approached us after we sold calves this past fall and mentioned how nice they looked, he went on to ask what bulls we were using. Jeremy has always been accommodating and easy to work with.” - Brad Greenaway – Mitchell, South Dakota
Greenway Farms sold two loads of home raised steers in January of 2024 at Mitchell Livestock, South Dakota. The late March and April born steers were all sired by bulls they have purchased from Windy Creek Cattle Company and weighed an average of 966 pounds. The steers fetched $226.75/cwt to equate to $2,190 per head. We want to congratulate the Greenway Family on their successes and want to thank them for their trust in WINC bulls since 2008.
