The TC Reds and Weis Cattle Bull and Bred Heifer event is in its third year, and we are certain that you will be impressed with the livestock that is promoted in between the covers of this sale book. Two premier stock families that have been in the business for many years and both have the reputation of champions and are thought by many of their peers as great stockmen and students of the industry.

Their roots are deeply embedded in the raising and marketing of many of the nation’s most successful females in the junior show heifer industry. Angus, Charolais, Chi-influenced, Maine-Anjou, Red Angus, Simmental, and SimGenetic females have left the property over the past decade, winning for their new homes and promoting the programs through their success. Many past champions have re-emerged in the donor pen, contributing 50% of the genetics in this offering. Several brothers, both full and maternal, to some of the most successfully campaigned and revenue-generating females are included in this very offering. We acknowledge that this beef cattle model may not attract “commercial cattlemen,” yet the stockmen and women who have purchased livestock from this sale series are more than satisfied with their investments. These cattle are bred with a diverse thought process and the belief that both sexes must be of superior quality, embodying the reputation that these firms are known for. These cattle have undergone multiple sorting sessions to eliminate problems or indications of potential issues, as there’s no room for nonsense, and they recognize that returning or prospective customers don’t need the inconvenience of issues either.

I had the opportunity to engage in a conversation with a bull customer from this sale a year ago. He and his wife have been in the Simmental business for over three decades in western Oklahoma, and they have an excellent reputation. The bull they purchased last year is big and powerful, having covered a large set of cows this past summer. The bull measures over a six-frame score and weighs nearly a ton, so those who say “show cattle/good phenotype cattle” don’t have real performance may need to rethink that assumption. We assure you that both families know and understand that some of the genetics and some of the cattle in the “show industry” are quite removed from reality, which is why those genetics are not represented anywhere in this sale book. These cattle are bred to generate profit, they are bred to be the quality that can help make land acquisitions, pay the feed bill, keep the lights on, and provide for anything else that an outfit needs to survive and thrive in today’s world!

Willie Weis is known for being one of the most discerning and exceptionally selective livestock evaluators in the beef industry. He examines every crucial physical trait that impacts longevity and the overall quality of animals. His focus on skeletal structure, appearance, and the balanced proportions of muscle and body shape is unmatched. As you explore this book, you should be able to recognize the influence of those selection principles and how they are applied. Ty Bayer and Willie enjoy a strong relationship and share many common goals in this business, aside from staying at the forefront. Their customer service is unparalleled; with minimal questions asked, they seek your business, loyalty, and trust, doing everything possible to uphold a long-term business relationship grounded in integrity, as well as your success and satisfaction.

This is a very legit set of bulls and females with premium skeletal quality and the necessary growth, power, and substance to advance any program. We encourage all to engage in conversation with Willie, Ty, or Scott about the offering. If you should need further assistance, reach out to any of the Innovation AgMarketing team with questions about the offering or the business of the auction. We hope to see all of you on President’s Day at the Weis Cattle Company facility!

the Simmental bulls

• We initiate the SimGenetic offering with a pair of full brothers that are laced the greatest from the Weis program.

• Their dam is the famous generator KC2 Miss Victoria 6H that is owned jointly with the Lashmett Family of Illinois. 6H is gaining momentum to be one of the go-to Simmental donor females that consistently produces the goods that are in demand anywhere in the land.

• RJ Trust Fund 212K is the 17th Annual Embryos on Snow, Denver edition $135,000 sale feature offered by RJ Cattle and purchased by Cowan Cattle Company of Wisconsin. He is the buzzword in the breed when it comes to sire suggestions for cattle with eccentric phenotype with worldly substance and power.

• A full sister to this tandem commanded $105,000 this past fall for Weis and Lashmett and full sib embryos commanded $3400 a piece at the recent Embryos on Snow in Oklahoma City.

• This pair of Baldy brothers has so much to offer any beef operation: not only pedigree and cow family but also longevity, which is tied to the gene pool.

• Both are dense, loose-hinged, flexible, rugged, durable, athletic, bold, and incredibly stout for their glass-like profile.

• Regardless of the scope or focus of your respective operation, either or both of these herd sire prospects fit the bill for industry specs on phenotype, performance, conversion, and red meat yield.

• This son of Brand New Man 001H is out of the Stella 08E donor, a female that needs little introduction to the masses. 08E was the 2019 National Western Stock Show and Fort Worth Stock Show and Rodeo Reserve Champion Female that has produced countless high sellers and show champions for the TC and Weis firms.

• 80M comes balanced with the equipment to go the distance. Muscle, center body, flexibility, agility, and skeletal integrity will not be sacrificed when you introduce this cat to a set of cows.

• This son of Brand New Man 001H ratioed 106 at weaning with 722 pounds.

• 19M is long sided, bigger in his frame, loose in his build, and very smooth and attractive in his profile.

• Baldy making certified stud of quality!

• The chrome came through strong in the full sib to lot 17. However, we believe that he does do some other things maybe a pinch better than his solid colored sibling.

• He sets lower into the base of his quarter, he too is a freckle deeper in his heart and flank, but he comes with the same high quality feet and running gear the family is known for.

• Willie has been dedicated and passionate about investing in the great cow families of the breed. He tied into the maternal granddam of this stud many years ago to inject the presence of the immortal Ruby donor Rhythm 418P.

• The modern build and design of Only One clicked very well with the old school genes as this one sets high and arrogant out of his shoulder and is stout in his jaw with a masculine presence. He has the flexibility and correct angles that allow him to get out and go with zero deviation in skeletal quality or integrity.

• He’s simply a classy herd bull prospect with limitless potential that pounded the scales down at weaning with over 770 pounds of payweight.

• As a cattleman who values breed character and quality animals, it pains me when I ask a question like, “How does he/she move?” and the answer is, “Like a Simmental,” or when people say, “He/she is pretty good looking for a Purebred Simmental.” Chris Effling has made the statement, “If the cattle weren’t as good as what they are, we would have sold them years ago,” on more than one occasion. As a promoter of SimGenetic stock, it’s my job to say how good the cattle are, but seriously Clark, if you think that we give up quality to the rest of the registered public, then you need to look a little harder.

• Cattle like this son of the $530,000 SO Remedy 7F from one of the silent, high quality donor families, HMYH Surrender 05C, have their place in the business. To be honest, I, of all people, didn’t think that Purebred Simmental stock could look quite this. He’s simply an outlier for the good outside traits.

• His look is aberrant, build is singular, and his body shape and transitions are rare!

• If you like or prefer to be “out there” then dare to acquire lot 20.

the simmental bulls

• Another consistent fact with this set of SimGenetic bulls is the near exact front skeleton construction of the cattle. Big footed, deep heeled stock that are set soft and flexible in their pastern, with the correct angle or set to their knee while transitioning correctly into the base of their shoulder. It’s something that Willie will comment on and something that he has worked hard to achieve over the years.

• This son of STCC Tecumseh 058J offers extra length, substance of bone, and the expression and shape associated with cutability and end product yield.

• He’s one of many direct sons of the proven, profit earning donor dam, referred to as “Rudy”.

• This half blazed marked son of the paternal brother to STCC Tecumseh 058J referred to as Second Chance 601H would also be a maternal brother to the hottest donor in the Weis program, KC2 Miss Victoria 6H. Certainly, a herd sire prospect entrenched with the breed’s greatest cow families and proven sires as well.

• 45M is very complete, very smooth, big and soft bodied, and stout ended.
