On August 5, 2012 two tragedies occured within the Red Angus family.

10 year old Heather Presser of Turtle Lake, North Dakota was killed in an ATV accident on the family farm. Heather was the daughter of Troy and Annette Presser, long time friends and Red Angus breeders. Words and deeds cannot express our love and thoughts to the family for their tragic loss.

NWRAA President Jeff Chatburn was seriously injured in a fall from a cliff while fighting a fire on Cottrell Mountain near Albion, Idaho. To assist with his recovery and medical costs, 50 percent of this donation will go to the cause.

Welcome to the Bet On Red Sale and National RAAA Convention!

Let me first say what an honor it is for me to be the sale manager and auctioneer for this event. Without the consignors and participants in the Bet On Red Sale and the Red Western Classic Show, none of this would happen. Please make a special effort to thank each and every one of them for the time, money and dedication that they have put forth to promote the Red Angus breed at this year’s grand celebration. And most of all, come to Reno with bidding and supporting these consignors in mind – after all, some of the breed’s elite genetics will be offered and YOU OWE IT TO YOUR OWN OPERATION to be recognized as a buyer and player in the Red Angus breed. With the RAAA Convention in town, a lot of things have changed over previous years Bet On Red events. The biggest will be that the auction will be held in the Silver Legacy via video feed of the cattle. This will allow viewers on liveauctions.tv a better view of the cattle. I certainly encourage you to bid on the internet if you are not in attendance. We will assist you in getting cattle back to the Midwest and Eastern part of the United States through Woolsey trucking and will be glad to coordinate loads for the least possible cost anywhere in the country. Another change will be the barn social on Thursday night rather than a banquet. Be sure and attend and get a live glimpse at the cattle selling on Friday afternoon and enjoy the social aspect of visiting with fellow Red Angus breeders from around the country and north of the border. This will be a fun and spirited gathering. I can’t stress enough the quality and caliber of cattle that the Northwest Red Angus Association members bring to Reno year after year. If you are just getting started in the Red Angus breed or have been producing Red Angus seedstock for 60 years, the genetics from the 2012 Bet On Red Auction can enhance your program. Bet on Red 6R Cameo 10Z – Lot 1

Cameo 10Z has a great disposition and is very gentle. The Cameo cow family makes great females, and this heifer certainly fits the pattern. Her dam – DUNN 9810 – is the foundation cow of the “Cameo” cow family for the Averys. She has an MPPA of 104.3 in the herd on 13 calves and produced this heifer at 14 years of age. In 2002 her Grand Canyon heifer calf sold to Orchard Cattle on the stage the last time the RAAA convention was in Reno. In 2009 Linnells purchased a granddaughter who went on to win Oregon state fair as a bred heifer and in 2011, they purchased a great granddaughter who also went on to win Oregon state fair. Her 2010 bull calf out of LCB Hoss was champion Red Angus bull at the Red Bluff Bull Sale and also won Grand Champion AOB bull.

Arrangements for International Shipment should be made with the sale manager prior to the auction. All efforts for the exportaton of cattle can be arranged through the sale manager.

BREEDING GUARANTEE: All animals are guaranteed by the seller as outlined in the Red Angus Association of America Code of Ethical Sale Practices.

LIABILITIES: All persons who attend the sale do so at their own risk. The seller, auction facility, and sale manager assume no liability for any accidents that may occur. Neither does the seller, auction facility, or sale manager assume liability for the loss or injury to livestock due to theft, mysterious disappearance, sickness, improper handling or Act of God. It is to be clearly understood that the sale manager and its represenatives act only as a medium between the buyer and the seller. They are not responsible in any way for the failure on the part of the buyer and seller to live up to their obligations or for the truth of any warranties or respresentation, express or implied. Neither does the sale manager assume any financial obligations to collect or enforce collection of monies between parties. Any legal action, that may in exceptional cases be taken, must be between the buyer and the seller. This catalog has been prepared by the Sale Manager from pedigrees and information supplied by sources deemed reliable, however, the Sale Manager will in no way guarantee the pedigree, percentages of the animals selling, or data included in this catalog. Any exceptions taken are between the buyer and the seller.

CONTRACT: The above terms and conditions of sale shall constitute a contract between the buyer and seller of each animal and shall be equally binding upon both.
