As I sit down to write this my mind begins to scramble. With the election and Covid on the fritz there are a lot of uncertainties in our near future. However, one thing is for certain; we brought our very best to Yale for your evaluation! We are beyond excited to offer a set of cattle of this caliber at our first of many Grand Events.

Blood, sweat and tears have brought us to this point. We strive every day to do better than we did the day before; a lot of long days and early mornings fuels us to keep moving forward. As many of you know it takes a village to make a sale like this happen and we are truly blessed to have the best villagers around. Our success is a direct result from all of their dedication and hard work. Our team is ran by Garrett Cloud who oversees the daily tasks in the Oklahoma division. Garrett has done nothing but impress us since day one and we will forever be grateful for his loyalty to the brand.

With the whirlwind 2020 has been I am most thankful for my family. Buck Creek Ranch is a family affair and none of this would be possible without their support. This business demands a lot of my time and I am so fortunate to be surrounded by friends and family that love this industry as much as I do. I am humbled to have group of people that will selflessly lay down what they are doing to lend a helping hand when needed.

However none of this would be possible without your support. I personally want thank you for your time and consideration in viewing our cattle. What a pleasure it is to welcome you all to the first annual Buck Creek Production Sale known as the “Grand Event”. For those of you last minute shoppers, this presents the perfect opportunity to engage in what could be the best money you’ve ever spent on a Christmas gift for the entire family. Jacob Moore and his family have been diligent, methodical students in the acquisition stages and have come to the point in their operation’s growth pattern to allow them to share the breed’s best with the public interest.

Jacob would be the first to admit that without folks like Garrett Cloud and the mentorship of great cattlemen like Doug Smith, that this particular dream would of always became reality but it is the Moore Family’s affiliation with people such as them that has allowed a much quicker and guided path to get to this marketing venture. This is an operation that was built due to the parents recognizing a passion in their son’s eyes. Passion, ambition, and desire led Mr. and Mrs. Moore to an investment in their family’s future, and I promise you that they have never questioned the path to where Buck Creek Ranch is today. An additional realization by the Moore family is that they wanted to make sure that they were in the mix of the industry’s leading traffic center for ease of marketing and so they sought out the location of the Oklahoma division in the destination Stillwater area. They will first admit it was somewhat of a leap of faith in building the Southern Plains based 2nd division and it hasn’t been easy, but they have had the right people and guidance along the way to make it go in the desired direction. We know that they appreciate all those along the way that have made this long road to the first annual “Grand Event” possible.

As most of you know that follow the progress of this aggressive operation, they have been the one’s to tie to some of the breed’s elite. Time To Shine would be the high selling female over both Dispersions in the Circle M series and she is featured again here for your appraisal. Buck Creek has been extremely aggressive multiplying the success of this elite donor cow, so with a significant embryo bank, many in the incubation phase, and several progeny in this sale for your evaluation, she is up for grabs again. Another donor selected from the famed dispersion of Grand Saline, TX would be the Zenyatia female that was a past many time champion that went on to also produce many like her status on the tan bark. We’re not sure where else you can go in this business and tie into elite females with like track records in this breed, other than a complete dispersal setting. The exclusive offering of this pair is a testament of the opportunities and density this program has to offer to the general public.

As you flip the pages of this sale book, you will take notice of the physical quality and the genetic advantage of this entire set of open and bred females. Both groups of stock are “bred in the purple” with the bred cattle carrying the service of those sires familiar with being at the backdrop themselves or for sure producing the kind that gather the purple. The guess work has been removed in this offering as the heifer calves come with the needed maturity for one to project undoubtedly the future of each one and the same could be said for the bred division as well with most of them calving just around the corner. The thought and strategy to get geared up for this offering has been in the works over the past couple of years with the true planning beginning over 18 months ago. Rest assured, that you have the opportunity to tie into an elite set of stock with as much proven genetic merit as one can find anywhere in the breed.
