33 Elite Heifer Calves 14 Bred Females 6 Genetic Lots
at the Weber Land & Cattle Headquarters LAKE BENTON, MINNESOTA
Welcome to the 5th Ladies in Red Event. Our families sincerely appreciate the new friendships, partnerships, and contacts built through previous sales. We look forward to continued opportunities and hearing the success stories from selections made from previous Ladies In Red Events. The cattle business is a good place to be and cows continue to be good property to own. Without a doubt, the Red Angus breed continues a steady climb in popularity and interest. From the commercial sector to the show ring, Red Angus genetics are in high demand. It is prime time to invest in quality Red Angus genetics. As you page through the catalog, we hope you agree the offering is as strong as ever. Whether you are looking for a donor prospect, a heifer to compete in the show ring or a female to add to your program; we believe the quality of genetics, matings and cattle presented will exceed your expectations. The cattle selected through this sale have had tremendous success in the show ring, but more importantly have went on to produce profit generating progeny for their new owners. From the opens to the bred heifers, these females are the kind with the potential to have a positive and lasting impact on a Red Angus program. As always, our families look forward to seeing you at the Ladies in Red Event. If we can be of assistance in any way, do not hesitate to contact us. Please feel free to come early and join us for cattle viewing and hospitality on Friday. We hope to see you in Lake Benton on November 28th.

WDZ Calli has a killer look. She is long-spined and has a tremendous hip. She is sound made with ample bone and structure. We purchased her dam right here in the first LIR sale and she has certainly not disappointed us since. The 3 Aces program in TN purchased several Commander daughters through the Ladies In Red sale and those females have placed several heifers into their always competitive showstring.

Consider the influence that WEBR Dolly 1L has had on the programs of the Ladies In Red Sale; the dam of Doc Holiday, Dr Phil, Dolly 7031, the granddam of Card Shark, and maternal influence in numerous high sellers in the first four sales. The addition of Evolution adds further genetic merit to the equation. He is quickly becoming a go to calving ease specialist without giving up structure and look. If you are wanting genetics to build a program on, give this female some consideration on sale day.

Another Firebolt daughter, she is about as complete as can be. Lot 21 will show and will be a front runner in production while being cool to look at. Lot 21’s mother has a grid master EPD in the top 1% and herd builder of 132 which is in the top 14% of the breed.

TC PHOEBE 14S Fiona 3605 is the direct daughter of TC Fiona 48X, who was the Grand Champion Owned female of the 2011 NAJRAE. 48X is easily, in my opinion, one of the greatest cows in the Red Angus breed. 3605 is the 4th natural daughter of 48X and we have retained all of them to keep back in our herd, and they have been great ones. However, 3605 is the best one of the four and Scott and I should have our heads examined for letting this one go. 3605 combines tremendous depth and power, with look, style, and balance into a super sound structural design. It will be straight to the donor pen for this one after her show career.

This heifer has been a standout since day one and she knows it. Her mother is a first calf, Up North daughter that did everything right. We purchased her sire Firebolt from Polzin’s and Thomas Ranch. He is a Firestorm out of the Savannah cow. As a heifer calf she won Fort Worth, Denver and Louisville for Solution Genetics. This heifer will turn some heads and be hell on wheels fun for whomever gets to lead her. On paper and in person this thing is legit.

Not only does this female excel in her numbers, but phenotypically she has all the pieces to be a great one. She is backed by two sires who have already proven their success with National Champions. WDZ Covergirl 314 ended a successful show career last fall with a division win in Louisville. She calved mid-January at 21 months of age with a tremendous udder and weaned one of our heaviest bull calves. We are very excited about the future and potential of this young female. Power Eye is siring cattle that are in demand. If you have any question whether this mating might work, page back through the catalog and take another look at Lot 18.

LADIES IN RED - The
I have said for years now that this is phenotypically the best Red Angus female we have ever raised. She had a heifer on the 2012 sale that brought $8,000 Bryan Shuter, IN, and every bull calf has been sold through the bull sale. The one daughter we have in the herd raised the lead off bull in our Denver pen last year and his brother will be in the pen this year. This cow is built right, great footed and uddered. She has a heifer calf on her now that is worth the drive to look at. I’m interested to see what you want to flush her to, take your pick!

This phenotypically flawless female is sired by the great Montana Creek and her picture says it all. One of the best designed Red Angus cows in the country. This female was champion at the 2011 NAJRAE Owned and Bred & Owned in Stillwater, Ok, as well as being Reserve female at the 2012 NWSS Jr show. We are excited to offer this one time only opportunity to buy a flush on this exceptional female.

Doc Holliday has been a cornerstone of our breeding program. He represents what we strive for, extra muscle, rib and style. He won Denver in 2004 and his full brother, Dr. Phil won it in 2006. Doc sired the Red Angus female who won Louisville in 2007, Reserve Red Angus female in Denver 2009. He also sired, Card Shark, Reserve Champion Red Angus bull in Denver 2011. Consistently our high sellers are out of Doc or direct descendants, both bulls and heifers. He sold for $10,000 to Weidenbach Ranch/Jensen Ranches of South Dakota. This will be the last opportunity to purchase this highly sought after semen.
