Welcome to the 24th Annual Power of the Reds sale! This is the longest running consecutive Red Angus Sale east of the Mississippi. This will be one of the best and largest offering of Red Angus females, bulls, and frozen genetics ever assembled in this event and one of the last opportunities to buy quality and quantity Red Angus genetics this sale season. The Red Angus female is the quintessential female in the beef business. This is proven by actual hard fact data through several years of study by the Superior Livestock Marketing Company. Red Angus females sale above all other breeds and composites of breeds by an average of $4 to over $8 a hundred weight. This is based on sales of several thousand females on Superior Livestock. Cattlemen all over the world have found a true appreciation for the Red Angus female and are willing to spend the extra money to obtain them. Females After nearly 8 years in the Red Angus business we are making a move toward most of the cowherd having the Route 9 ERRA prefix. It will take a year or two to sell off those females still young enough to do a good job for their new owners. We will not be selling some of our donor cows nor will we sell some of the oldest cows. Some of these cows selling are among our favorites and are the type that we felt strong enough to buy to build our foundation herd around.Many we have kept daughters out of and those we wouldn’t buy again ourselves are being inactivated and moved to our commercial herd.

SCMH Timber 215 was an embryo calf we purchased from Huntrod’s Red Angus in Nebraska at a Mulberry Mayhem sale in Kansas.She is now 7 and another one of our farm favorites for disposition. She also goes back to the female maker Red Towaw Indeed like a couple of our other consignments. Indeed is a breed Legend and it’s getting harder to find that influence in a three generation pedigree. She sells bred for Spring to the Tommy Jack son,Rte 9 Tommy Gun boasting the influence of Monument 4X,our Donor female Damar Ginnie’s Girl who also sells and a double shot of Mulberry in just the right places. We probably ought to wait and see what this calf looks like before we commit to selling this female

Radiant Scarlet is a 3year old Mulberry granddaughter via Huckleberry with an interesting pedigree that includes some Black Angus Ankonian and Bon View prefixed genetics. She is only selling because she doesn’t have our prefix and isn’t in the donor pen.I think she’ll be a good one to own. She should have a calf by sale time at side by Damar Doc.

Damar Fill Me UP x119 is the second oldest cow we are selling and if we didn’t think she’d work for somebody I’d just put her in the commercial herd. She was an ET calf herself out ofthe Perk’s Miss Robinhood 205R cow who you will see in many top pedigrees.She is 9 years old but continues to get the job done. We sold a set of Young Gun twin heifers out of her at the Power of the Reds a couple years back and she just had her second set of twins this fall. The heifer is very nice but wouldn’t you know it, the other calf is a bull. Here’s a really cool mating from 2 outstanding individuals… representing both colors of our breed. The donor dam 44X is a top-ranking cow at Brylor, she could be as good of Squall daughter as we have ever owned. She raised naturally Red Brylor High Capacity 44A selling to Jeff Fraser at $10 000, again naturally a son to Zoratti Ranches at $9000. A daughter is at Dersta Farms, who raised their RRup entry in 2018. 44X herself was a $12 000 purchase from RRup 2015 to Brylor and On the Mark Cattle Co. This mating is very predictable as a full sister to this basket of eggs sold to Fraser Farms as the $14 900 high seller in TWAV 2017. The sire of these eggs, Rush Lake, was the $73 000 high seller at Agribition in 2012 to Stauffer Ranches. Rush Lake, then went on to sire the $31 000 Masterpiece high selling lot in 2015. Once again in 2016 at Masterpiece his semen package was high selling lot for $30 000. His daughters are incredible females for anyone fortunate enough to own one. Rush Lake now resides in Kansas at Badger Creek, formerly known as EBY Ranches.
