Schedule of Events FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 6 Sale cattle on display all afternoon. Please join us for food & refreshments at 5 p.m.

SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 7 Complimentary lunch will be served at 11 a.m. The sale will begin at 12 noon EDT.

Dear Angus Friends and Fellow Cattlemen: Welcome to the 35th Annual Genetic Opportunity Sale — one of the longest running Angus production sales anywhere in the United States. The longevity of this sale is a testament not only to the quality of the cattle but more to the quality of the people involved with the breeding programs that have been a part of the Genetic Opportunity sales. While this offering is comprised of only Grubbs cattle for the first time in years, it still maintains the same level of quality you have come to expect from the Genetic Opportunity Sale. It has been my honor to work with Dale, Les, Andrew and Mark for over a decade, and I look forward to what the future holds for the next chapter of Genetic Opportunity sales. I want to also thank Les Craft for the opportunity to work with him and to market his cattle and wish he and Dawn luck with their program, now headquartered in Columbus, Montana. We are excited to bring you this outstanding offering in 2019. Dale is offering the heart of his cow herd and has assembled a set that illustrates the result of his family’s experience in the purebred seedstock industry…spanning over seventy years and three generations — and his passion for the Angus female. The success that Genetic Opportunity customers have had with past investments is testament to the depth and quality present in past events, and this year is no exception. These cattle combine performance with excellent phenotype to become competitors at any level in the industry. The bottom line is this: Genetic Opportunity cattle appreciate in value. The genetics represented on both sides of these pedigrees are proven to work. Some of the Angus breed’s most popular sires are represented here as well as an exciting group of females by the resident herd sires in the Grubbs program. Excellent show and donor prospects from power cow families and sired by breed-leading bulls will sell as well as two proven herd sires. Past junior customers have claimed championship honors in show rings across the region and at every level of competition. Whether you select a proven female or an open prospect, you cannot go wrong. You will find an excellent set of replacement females, whether sold alone or on the side of their dams. If you are searching for a young donor, don’t overlook the select set of bred heifers. I am excited to again be working with Dale and his family in the marketing of their cattle. Evaluate your own situation and breeding goals, and on Saturday, September 7th, take advantage of the result of years of selective breeding decisions with the emphasis on phenotypic quality and maternal strength. Please join us Friday evening for food and refreshments while you preview the cattle. Feel free to contact me or Dale with your questions or comments. Sincerely,

SALE MANAGER Matt Sims

Lot 37 is big ribbed, stout boned, thick and extra powerful in her design and blends all that power and shape into a smooth, feminine package as you view her from the side. In terms of soundness, she covers her track with ease. For producing progeny that will compete on a consistent basis, we like what this one brings to the table. If Dale wasn’t offering every mature female in his herd, this one would not be leaving. Each of her daughters has been retained in the herd. • Bred AI 4/15/19 to Byergo Boomer 6351. PE 5/28/19 to 9/1/19 to Windy Ridge Wib 507. Due approximately 1/22/20.
