Dear Friends and Fellow Cattlemen: On behalf of John and Johanna Gomez and their crew, I would like to welcome you to the fourth annual Heritage Cattle Company Production Sale. I am again pleased to be working with John, Johanna, Arlin, Dan and the rest of the Heritage crew and family. Heritage Cattle Company is backed by many years of agribusiness and purebred cattle experience. John has one of the largest custom harvesting businesses in the country, providing thousands of tons of feed to the nation’s largest and fastest growing dairy belts in the world. Johanna and her brother, Arlin Nelson, have a long history with polled Hereford cattle, beginning with their involvement as junior members. This is a unique operation that incorporates two breeds that have complemented each other throughout history to produce what has long been recognized as the “ultimate” maternal cross for the commercial seedstock industry, the black baldy. John and Johanna are equally passionate about Angus and Hereford cattle, and it has shown in the genetics they have acquired from both breeds while building their herd. This operation is also unique in terms of locale. John and Johanna reside in Idaho but spend a lot of time on the Indiana farm as well. They realized that to most effectively serve their customers they needed to geographically position themselves on both sides of the country. The preservation and renovation of Mark Richardson’s legendary show barn and the historical home that sits on the Milton, Indiana, division is a testament to the “Heritage” name. The genetics represented in this offering on both sides of the pedigrees are second to none and include cow families that are among both breeds’ elite. This is a very select offering of primarily 2010 show and donor prospects that are sure to be heard from in show rings across America. The daughters of “Two Timin” and “Cow Made” are definite sale features, as are the daughters of “Payday” and “Masterpiece.” The quality you will see in these heifer calves and bred heifers is second to none, proving that Heritage truly is “Sharing the Legacy.” The crew at Heritage is very proud of this offering and looks forward to being your host November 20, 2010. Be sure to enjoy the food and hospitality the Gomez family is sharing on Friday evening, November 19. If you have any questions or if I may be of any assistance prior to or at sale time, please give me a call. Sincerely,

Matt Sims

Heritage Blackbird 0551 is a daughter of SAV Bismarck 5682, who also sired the Grand Champion and Reserve Grand Champion Owned Females in the 2009 National Junior Angus Show in Perry, Georgia. When we combine the length of front, structural power, rib and mass of this late March prospect with her numerical quality, we feel that she has all the tools necessary to follow in her paternal footsteps and make an outstanding donor at the completion of her show career. • Sells open.

Heritage Forever Lady 9515 is a direct daughter of the $56,000-valued Roth Forever Lady 2610, who herself was a many-time champion from a proven cow family. In our 2008 and 2009 sales, seven progeny of 2610 amassed $29,100 in sales to average $4,150. The dam of 2610 is the extremely popular and powerful donor Bear Mtn Forever Lady 601, a daughter of the breed-leading growth sire Papa Equator 2928 produced from the Pathfinder Dam Blackcap Lady 384 GDAR. 601’s progeny have been highlights of past LaGrand sales and include the $14,500 half interest Forever Lady 2706, sold to Craig Moffit. Roth Forever Lady 2706 is a maternal sister to the dam of 9515 whose show ring accomplishments include Grand Champion Female, 2003 American Royal Super ROV; Grand Champion Female, 2003 Fort Worth Super ROV; Grand Champion Female, NILE ROV; Division Champion, 2003 National Junior Angus Show; and Reserve Calf Champion to 2610 at the 2002 North American. Other maternal sisters to 2610 include the $16,000 half interest LG BMAR Forever Lady 3085, the $15,500 Roth Forever Lady 2631 and the $20,000 half interest Roths Forever Lady 2715 as well as the $25,000 top selling Lot 1 bull in the 2003 LaGrand Ranch Bull Sale, LaGrand 2617, formerly featured in the Belle Point Ranch program. A maternal brother to 2610, LaGrand Roth EXT 2705, was a featured herd sire at LaGrand Ranch. • Bred A.I. 4/27/2010 to SAV Bismarck 5682. Pasture exposed from 5/3/2010 to 9/13/2010 to Heritage Finley 8536. Safe in calf.
