Some of the N and NS building has the connecting part and it is used as the main circulation that winds up for the N Building. On the other hand, the NS building connection has the double height shared private space.

CONNECTING AREA The landscape design is planned by three zones: public, connector, and private area. In the public area, the visitors are facilitated with the public gym and cafe area. The erg room for the rowers also located in the gym facing towards the water to connect it back to the river. To connect the two distinct sites, steps walking/ seating area is designed . It also acts as a park to the larger South Park neighborhood area as the neighborhood lacks of green space. Towards the northern site, it focuses on the water usage and more private area for the rowers

The design adapts a simply steel structure from the industrial buildings surround the site and also makes the building feel lighter as the concept of the buildings is floating. To hold the building, the steel column sits on the concrete strip footing, with the roof and floor are supported by steel beams. The columns are purposely designed being hide from the facade to realize the floating experience. The extended floor then is used as a seating area during day time, and the metal panels will cover the buildings when the shell house is closed.

Middle

School,

located

in

Tukwila,

Washington. The main project for the Tukwila School District is to design and build a new STEAM classroom building (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics. The project includes architectural and interior design. This section introduces the wall covering as a part of the interior design. Rolluda Architects aims to achieve a simple yet powerful design that will last at least for another 50 years. The design is inspired by trees that branches out. It is connected to the educational purposes where the students are a community in the school, yet they have their own interests that help them to branch out and become their individual.

TO LIVE OR TO SURVIVE

INTERACTIVE INSTALLATION

““To Live or To Survive“ brings to light aspects of life that are often taken for granted by showing the duality between life and surival, and the struggle that individuals face in the pursuit of each.

This weekend, we’d like to invite you to join this conversation with us. Please feel free to take a piece of paper and a pen, write down what dos it mean to you to live a life or to survive, or anything you would like to share after reading the posters.

HOUSE-LESS

SECURE HOUSING

Living without a house does not guarantee a person is homeless. In fact, many individuals who live without the physical security of housing are able to maintain strong social connections, which allow them to feel at home wherever they are. This interpretation of houselessness emphasizes that love and meaningful connections are what make people feel at home. What does HOME mean to you?

Although having four walls around you and a roof over your head provides more physical security, it does not ensure an individual feels like they are home. Just as somebody without physical housing can feel at home amongst those they feel connected to, others can feel completely isolated, despite being in a house and surrounded by people. What do you feel when you are at the place where you call HOME?

TO LIVE OR TO SURVIVE

INTERACTIVE INSTALLATION

Americans may find themselves to be oppressed and discriminated against. People who live in, and come to this country are confronted by racism, sexism, and other forms of discrimination. And while there are many who achieve the ‘American Dream,’ sometimes even those people are not much happier. Is there a harsh reality of the ‘American Dream’?

While many are familiar with the concept of the ‘American Dream,’ it’s physical characteristics may vary between any two people. A traditional outlook on the ‘American Dream’ may include things like having personal freedom, financial security, being in a position to realize one’s true potential, but this is only one perception on what it means to live. What does the ‘AMERICAN DREAM’ to you?
