And nobody knows Roulette better than Harrah’s Resort SoCal, where there can be up to four wheels spinning on any given night. When you first walk across the casino f loor, Roulette may appear the same as Poker, Blackjack and all the rest of the table games. But what sets Roulette apart from the others is its wheel. Wheels make everything more exciting, don’t they? In fact, wheels are a common theme in games of every kind from Let’s Make A Deal to Wheel of Fortune. Even Twister has a little spinning wheel. Not since the creation of fire has man been so impressed with such an invention. And yeah, we may have evolved a bit, but the wheel still holds a tender place in all our hearts. Don’t be intimidated, though—Roulette is surprisingly easy to understand. Harrah’s Resort SoCal Table Games Supervisor Rita Pasquarelli explained what newcomers to the game should do to get started: “We have little handouts that explain the basic strategy of Roulette. They’ll show you the different odds. The dealers are very friendly here and they’re more than happy to walk you through the game.” As with all casino games, the object is to bet on what you think will come up as a winner, but Roulette is a bit sexier—and it’s all because of that wheel. One of the most fascinating elements of Roulette is the myriad of ways you can play.

As we prepared to christen our new city with its new name and new objectives, we sought high and low for the perfect person to lead this community in the right direction—the direction of fun. This town needed someone who represented everything we stand for in Funner. They needed to have a positive outlook on life, they needed to be someone who didn’t take him or herself too seriously and they needed

to embrace the overarching goal of Funner, California—to be a place where everyone is encouraged to enjoy fun their way. Meet David Hasselhoff—the first official mayor of Funner, California. “The Hoff,” as his fans and followers affectionately refer to him, is the embodiment of everything Funner stands for. Actor, singer, producer and businessman, The Hoff is an international icon and a household name. He’s also familiar with wearing many hats and having a great time doing it. If you haven’t

SENIOR CITIZENS CAN BE one of the most vulnerable groups in our communities. Getting healthy, affordable meals can be difficult— especially when they’re alone and facing health or mobility challenges. But thanks to Meals on Wheels, seniors in the San Diego area have been receiving a nutritious, home delivery meal service since 1972. As an extension of the work Caesars Entertainment began doing with the Meals on Wheels organization in 2002, Harrah’s Resort SoCal began supporting the national program with volunteers in North San Diego County in 2010. Currently, Harrah’s Resort SoCal has eight teammates who volunteer for the program by ESCAPE
