INTRODUCTION An investment in knowledge pays the best interest - Benjamin Franklin However, the rising cost of education has prompt many people to question, “Why am I paying so much for education?”

CREATIVE WORKSHOPS An initiative by Transpire to promote an idea sharing community in the design industry through barter trading for education.

MISSION To encourage an open community that shares ideas and knowledge to increase one’s learning curves and push the design industry forward with more multidisciplinary designers to solve complex problems in the world.

THE VISION To provide education and sharing of knowledge through barter trading.

To help student designers overcome the problem of financial difficulties in affording education to learn and grow as well.

THE PLAN Transpire will constantly reach out to Singaporeans, especially student designers, to encourage a collaborative community.

Transpire will collaborate with student designers, creatives, and non-creatives who are interested in holding talks, activities, and workshops to teach.

TARGET AUDIENCE Primary: Creatives This initiative would help creatives, especially those with financial difficulties, who are interested in learning new skill sets to expand their learning curve through barter trading for knowledge.

Secondary: Non-Creatives This initiative will help non-creatives come together to learn as well.

Building a Singapore that is more appreciative of the creative industry.

BENEFIT/CLAIM 1. Create a collaborative community that shares ideas and resources.

2. Ease financial burden of struggling student designers.

3. Kills creative block through idea sharing to come up with new and innovative ideas.
