Copenhagen Airports

Copenhagen Airport Reduces Airline Charges Copenhagen Airports is implementing two initiatives, both of which will reduce the charges that airlines pay for using the airport.

25 JANUARY 2018

F

rom April 01, airlines will pay 10 percent less on average to use the airport facilities. Furthermore, an incentive scheme will be introduced that will make charges 35 percent lower for frequent feeder flights between regional airports and Copenhagen Airports. According to Lars Nørby Johansen, chairman, Copenhagen Airports, the reduction in charges is part of an overall strategy to strengthen Copenhagen airport’s position as a North European hub. “We want to strengthen our hub status, so the lower prices will particularly benefit airlines that fly several times daily on the shorter routes between Copenhagen Airports and the regional airports,” said Johansen.

Glasgow Airport to Increase Security

Existing self-service boarding pass scanners will be relocated to a presearch preparation area on the first floor at the top of the escalators with capacity doubled from five to 10. Two wider gates will also be installed to support passengers with restricted mobility as they pass through security. The first phase of the project has commenced and will be completed by March.
