Letter from the editor
Jacques-Yves Cousteau, former French naval officer, ocean explorer, inventor and lover of the underwater world, once said: “The Sea, once it casts its spell, holds one in its net of wonder forever.”
Cousteau explored far and wide on his ship Calypso, a ground-breaking vessel in many ways. Imagine what he might think about the incredible, innovative ships that sail our oceans and rivers of the world today, and the experiences guests can have exploring places that were previously out of reach to all but those with an unquenchable thirst for adventure.
Cruise ships today are modern and magnificent, venturing to all seven continents so there’s an almost dizzying choice for the savvy traveller, and that’s where a highly experienced and trusted travel advisor comes in, helping you to identify and isolate that perfect cruise that is right for you.
Within the pages of this Luxury Cruise Guide, the expert Travel Associates team has highlighted some favourites to help you find your dream cruise from this selection of our recommended luxury cruise partners.
We work with the very best of the best to ensure clients have the experience of a lifetime, every time they book travel with a Travel Associates advisor.
No other agency has the level of experience to match. Travel Associates advisors all have a minimum of 10 years of expertise and know that every client is different, with individual cruise styles and tastes. This is a boutique business that is designed to help you create that perfectly personalised cruise experience.
With so many cruise lines to select from, we looked to Joel Katz, Cruise Lines International Association (CLIA) Managing Director Australasia for his view on why luxury cruising remains the ultimate benchmark for clients. Katz agrees that cruising is back and has made a strong comeback worldwide.
“Luxury cruising is one of the most dynamic areas of the cruise industry and it’s where we’re seeing a lot of innovation and change. Cruise passengers are looking for new experiences and authentic encounters with local cultures, particularly in areas like food and wine, history and the arts. The luxury space is where we’re seeing a lot of creativity in these areas, as cruise lines work to give guests a much more intimate and memorable experience in the destinations they visit,” Katz commented.
There can be no doubt that the luxury brands are the change-makers and trend-setters in cruising, and importantly for Travel Associates’ clients, these companies are working harder than ever to offer perfectly personalised experiences to exceed expectations.
“Among the trends we’re seeing is an increasing focus on health and wellness, and many of the high-end cruise lines are investing heavily in on-board spas and other wellness experiences. Another trend has been the huge popularity of expedition cruising, where cruise lines have invested in new and more sophisticated ships that allow guests to reach extraordinary locations in luxury. Several of the established luxury operators are now offering expedition sailings aboard newly designed ships, which allows them to take their own particular style of cruising into new regions like Antarctica or the remote tropics,” Katz concluded.
My last cruise was with Tauck on the Rhône and Saône Rivers of France, following in the footsteps of Vincent Van Gogh and exploring historic towns and cities such as Arles, Avignon, Vienne, Chalon-sur-Saône, Tournos,
Cluny and Lyon. Achingly beautiful river scenes, ancient sites, glorious châteaux, centuries-old wineries and incredible culinary experiences will live long in my memory. And I hope these pages bring you similar inspiration to create your next travel memories.
I strongly encourage you to start a conversation with the Travel Associates team about where you’d like to cruise, and on which ship, as the wealth of choice can be quite overwhelming and you’ll want an expert to recommend the right one for you. Once your dream itinerary has been designed with every little extra touch taken care of, you can travel with confidence, knowing that your travel advisor is there to support you along the way and that every little detail has been considered.
Where do you want to go on your next adventure at sea?
Yours in travel
Helen Hayes“Luxury cruising is one of the most dynamic areas of the cruise industry and it’s where we’re seeing a lot of innovation and change.”

From swaying palms fringing aquamarine lagoons, to vibrant cities, remote communities and spectacular coastlines, cruising is your window to the world.
HERE ARE 10 OF OUR FAVOURITE PLACES TO SEE AND EXPLORE BY SEA
FRENCH Polynesia 1
The eye-wateringly beautiful lagoons of Bora Bora, Rangiroa and Fakarava – a UNESCOclassified nature reserve – have to be seen to be believed. Stand in gin-clear water with the velvety wings of stingrays brushing past you, swim with reef sharks, bliss out on the aroma of vanilla and tiare flowers swirling in the breeze and laze under palm trees on snow-white sand on idyllic motus. Learn about black pearls – an ideal souvenir – on Rangiroa, and go for a drift snorkel at Tiputa Pass, riding the current as you marvel at the sheer volume of sea life.

You’ll do more than walk like an Egyptian when you are actually in Egypt, staring at sights that you studied in school and have seen on countless travel shows and in travel stories. Nothing can prepare you for seeing the Great Pyramids of Giza up close, wondering at the brilliance of the design and how they actually did it. Visit Luxor and marvel at the Temples of Karnak and Luxor. Swoon with the scents of the spice market in Aswan, visit Queen Nefertari’s tomb at the Valley of the Kings, and go for a felucca ride on the Nile.

SHETLAND Islands, UK 3
Walking around Lerwick in the Shetland Islands is like going back through time, with its quaint, stone buildings and a history of human habitation that dates back to the Neolithic Age, and the Vikings much later. Some of the major Viking sites are located on the island of Unst, where three longhouses have been found. Then there are the myriad birds around the islands, including puffins on the Sumburgh cliffs and thousands upon thousands of gannets, guillemots and fulmar squawking up a storm at Noss on the isle of Bressay.

VIENNA Austria
Oh Vienna. Such a beautiful, elegant city with so much to see and do before or after your river cruise. Visit St Stephens Cathedral, the Imperial Palace – one of the biggest palace complexes in the world and home to the famous Spanish Riding School, and don’t miss Belvedere Palace and Schonbrunn. Stroll around the glorious Ringstrasse, browse the many museums and stop for a mélange in one of the many coffee houses, such as Café Hawelka, where people like Jurgens and Andy Warhol were regular visitors, or Café Central. AMSTERDAM 5
Before, or after your river cruise, spend a few days exploring the treasures of the city. Visit the Van Gogh Museum, home to an extensive collection of the famed artist's masterpieces, the Rijksmuseum, a treasure trove of Dutch art including Rembrandt's The Night Watch, and the Amsterdam Maritime Museum. Take a moment at the Anne Frank House, do a canal tour drifting under graceful bridges and past charming canal houses and houseboats, explore on a bike, go for a stroll through the arty Jordaan district and munch on a stroopwafel, a delicious Dutch delicacy.

This great white land is on everyone’s bucket list, and for good reason. Antarctica is the highest, driest, coldest and windiest continent on Earth, and is about twice as big in area as Australia. Expedition cruises will get you up close to icebergs, with majestic landscapes featuring glaciers, mountain ranges and volcanos, and locations that are teeming with wildlife. Go ashore for ice hikes, go kayaking and explore in Zodiacs to really get a feel for this wild, isolated place.

ANTARCTICA 6
The old imperial capital city of Kyoto delights with magnificent sites like the revered Golden Pavilion with its shimmering gold leaf, the UNESCO World Heritage-listed Nijo Castle – a wood fort built in 1603 – and Sanjusangendo Temple which has 1,001 statues of Kannon, the Goddess of Mercy. Other gems of Kyoto prefecture include Fushimi Inari Shrine, a Shinto shrine known for its photogenic torii gates, and the historical and natural attractions in Nara and Osaka, two of Japan’s most influential cities.

SICILY 8
While places like Venice and Rome will always attract cruisers, go beyond to explore more of the authentic beauty of Italy. Visit Palermo, a cultural powerhouse, with the historic Norman Palace dating back to the Saracen Period, the magnificent 12th-century Cathedral, which houses six Royal Tombs, and in Monreale, visit its Cathedral, designed and built by William the Good in 1174 A.D. and thought to be Italy’s most beautiful Norman Church. From Giardini Naxos, discover treasures like Taormina, with spellbinding views from the spectacular Greek Theatre towards Mt Etna.

Ahhh Budapest, who can forget those twinkling lights that shimmer in all their glory as you cruise ever so slowly along the inky Danube River into the heart of the beautiful Hungarian capital that was once two cities – Buda known for its hills and Pest on the flat.
It gets my vote for one of the most spectacular sights ever because of the fairytale architectural brilliance of the Houses of Parliament that simply leave you in awe as 764 floodlights illuminate the historic façade of this amazing building.
There’s an air of excitement about arriving in any new city, but when it’s standing on the top deck of an Avalon Suite Ship wrapped in a warm blanket with a glass of bubbles in hand, staring at the stunning illuminations – it’s a memory that will last forever. From the moment I step aboard it’s all about thoughtful intuitive service, chic surrounds and the little things that make a cruise so memorable
All about Avalon
Founded in 2004 and part of the leading tour operator Globus family of brands, Avalon Waterways has a reputation for delivering unparalleled experiences and boundless exploration for guests as they cruise down the world’s most memorable and mesmerising waterways.
With its 16th ship set to join the stylish fleet next year, Avalon has a 3:1 guest-to-crew ratio with most ships averaging just 150 guests. What sets it apart in the accommodation stakes is the boutique hotel-inspired Panorama Suites with the industry’s only open-air balconies and the widest opening windows in cruising plus decadent Comfort Collection beds that are turned to face the ever-changing scenery.
We love that the line between inside and outside is blurred and the suite becomes a spacious seating area. Life on board can be as relaxing as sitting watching the river life go by and discovering the secrets of small towns or large, busy cities.
Active and Discovery cruises operate on every major European waterway Avalon sails on increasing its offerings by 600 per cent. On these one-of-a-kind cruises, travellers can choose daily from a selection of included ‘Active, ‘Discovery’ and ‘Classic’ excursions. Maybe it’s a hike up to a castle one day, a painting class the next or a guided tour of the beautiful towns visited. Dining is a culinary adventure with an emphasis on farm-to-fork flavour and keeping it fresh and local while enjoying locally crafted burgundies, viogniers and rieslings that flow with every meal.
The Douro will dazzle
Vida Portugal: Vineyards & Villages along the Douro, is Avalon’s newest destination with cruises starting next year on the new Avalon Alegria that will cruise the Douro. Built exclusively to sail this beautiful waterway, Alegria has 14 deluxe staterooms and 37 Panorama Suites to accommodate 102 guests and 33 crew members.
The eight-day cruise from Porto return will offer the popular ‘Classic,’ ‘Discovery’ and ‘Active’ excursion choices. It will feature everything from ancient Amarante – in the picturesque Minho region, known for its golden church that dates back to 1530 to the sandstone architecture in Salamanca Spain and rock art to riding bikes from Porto to the sea.
Avalon Waterways offers cruises throughout Europe’s waterways including special interest cruises covering garden and nature, cuisine, beer, wine, history, a storyteller series, photography and festive Christmas cruises. With Avalon Choice it means you can cruise your way, giving you an array of activities so you can choose what you want to do, whether it be wine tasting, kayaking, exploring on a bike or taking in a classical concert. You also have your choice of dining.
To meet demand for Avalon’s popular style of relaxed luxury on the water, the cruise line is also extending its 2024 season to November on the Seine and Rhône Rivers while also adding additional departures on the Rhine and Danube Rivers, including more festive cruises.
Other destinations include South America cruising the Amazon, exploring the Galápagos, Asia including India on the Ganges and Vietnam on the Mekong, and Africa on the Nile.
“Cruising along the Rhine with Avalon was a truly magical experience. Waking up to the incredible views of the river directly from our cabin and spending our days exploring new destinations on one of the many shore excursions, along with the incredible service and dining was such a memorable and relaxing way to experience Europe.
Best for: Those who want to explore without the logistics of travel."
HIDDEN GEM
The Moselle is definitely an undiscovered gem, meandering through Luxembourg and ending in Germany. It’s one of the only waterways in Europe that wasn’t bombed during WWII so the historic towns along the route are picture-perfect. Plus, you can easily combine the Moselle with the Rhine to create a larger itinerary.
EXPLORA
ALREADY MAKING WAVES IN LUXURY CRUISING
There is a new name in luxury cruising in 2023. It is cruising, but with a twist.
This new approach by a company with a maritime heritage dating back to 1695, is certainly turning heads, with discerning travellers inspired by this new company’s passion for exploration and discovery.
It is the perfect choice for high-end travellers who do not see themselves as cruisers at all.
Welcome to Explora Journeys
The company’s first ship, EXPLORA, is now sailing the seas having embarked on its inaugural journey on 1 August 2023, introducing luxe travellers to a world of cruising they didn’t know existed.
We are so impressed with this ship’s onboard offerings in wellness, enrichment, fine dining and entertainment. Then there are the thoughtfully curated itineraries that are sure to delight.
So where did this new company cruise in from? That is the question a lot of our customers are asking. Explora Journeys is the brand new luxury lifestyle brand of the MSC (Mediterranean Shipping Company) Group, the world’s third largest cruise brand with a rich maritime heritage. With such knowledge and experience behind them, together with the new way of thinking about cruising, Explora Journeys is offering enriching, respectful journeys that are inspired by the ocean.
Explora’s Ships
The first ship, EXPLORA 1, is the first of six ships that will be built by 2028 for people who love the finer things in life. The 64,000-tonne vessel carries 800 guests in 461 ‘Homes at Sea’, ranging from Suites, to Penthouses and Residences. We are so impressed with the sizes of the ‘Homes’, which range from 35 square metres for the Ocean Terrace Suites up to 280 square metres for the Owner’s Residence. The average suite size is 42 square metres, making them among the most spacious in the industry.
The number of dining choices is akin to what you would expect at a luxury resort, with a sophisticated collection of 18 restaurants, bars and lounges, with 12 of the bars/ lounges offering indoor/outdoor spaces. We can’t wait to try Sakura – Immersive Pan-Asian; Marble & Co. Grill – European Steakhouse; Fil Rouge – French inspired; the Gelateria
& Creperie – no explanation required; and Anthology –specialties from guest chefs from around the globe.
There is no need to pack your formal wear on EXPLORA, as there is no strict dress code or formal nights at sea. but if you do like to indulge in exquisite desserts, cocktails and great food, there is a running track, sports court and fitness facilities with an array of complimentary classes.
As pampering is a necessity on any luxury holiday, EXPLORA 1 offers a large spa as well as indoor and outdoor wellness areas including an adults-only pool area.
Should you wish to take your children, families are welcome, with 78 connecting suites, as well as dedicated space and activities for children, and teens.
Discover the ocean state of mind with Explora Journeys, an exciting new cruise line that will make you feel at home on the sea
Where in the world
EXPLORA 1 set sail from Copenhagen in Denmark in August 2023 on her inaugural journey, a sevennight sailing that took guests through the majestic landscapes of Lerwick, Shetland Islands and Kirkwall, Orkney before heading to Reykjavik, Iceland.
This northern European journey was designed to emphasise the brand’s ‘Ocean State of Mind’ philosophy with immersive experiences that aim to reward guests physically, intellectually and spiritually. Along with the on-board experience, this also includes activities like exploring Copenhagen’s beguiling waterways by kayak, discovering Shetland through its heritage pony breed, and an overnight stay in Iceland to explore the soul-enriching sites inside the Golden Circle.
Explora Journeys second ship, EXPLORA II will take to the seas in 2024, with itineraries taking guests to exotic locations ranging from the Arabian Peninsula to ancient cities on the Mediterranean, the tropical delights of the Seychelles and Mauritius and the wilds of Madagascar, South Africa, Mozambique and Kenya.
These new Explora ships and this innovative way of cruising, will be another chapter in the story of The Aponte family, with the first record of their involvement in maritime transport dating back 300 years. This family of ship owners and captains went on to create MSC Cruises, now the largest privately owned cruise company in the world.
Explora Journeys, MSC Group’s new luxury lifestyle brand, is going to add a whole new dimension.
“Explora Journeys is changing the way we think of traditional cruising. Think suites and residences instead of cabins, and terraces instead of verandas. There are nine culinary experiences at no additional charge, and let’s not forget their standard fare offering includes unlimited beverages, fine wines, premium spirits, high-speed Wi-Fi and access to the spa thermal area. I just can’t wait.
Best for: People who love cruising in style, and those who think cruising isn’t for them.”
KATHY PAVLIDIS | TRAVEL ASSOCIATES KEW, VICHIDDEN GEM
Explora Journeys is reinventing and redefining the classic luxury cruise, breaking conventions to deliver a unique, style of transformative ocean travel that inspires exploration in all its forms, with a spirit and style of vibrant, cosmopolitan, and relaxed European luxury.
OCEANIA CRUISES
DISCOVER THE FARAWAY WITH OCEANIA
Travel is a passion. It opens the mind, the heart, and the brain of all who travel, in one way or another. Discovering new places, immersing in unfamiliar cultures, learning the history of a place from the locals’ perspective, blended in with a healthy dose of doing nothing but relaxing, watching the sea in all its glory. Oceania Cruises allows you to embrace your passion for travel, in luxury, enjoying your world, your way.
Our favourite thing about Oceania Cruises has to be the culinary offerings onboard. They are known to have the finest cuisine at sea, and we certainly agree. From the very first
bite, their commitment to culinary excellence is obvious. Distinguished chefs source premium artisanal ingredients from around the world and prepare them in expansive, state-of-theart galleys. You can really taste that the chefs care about every single plate of food that goes out.
Guests can enjoy learning to cook some new dishes as well, as Oceania Cruises was the first to have a hands-on cooking school at sea. If this sounds like you, cooking schools are available on Marina, Riviera and Vista
Sail the oceans with Oceania Cruises, to discover the treasures of the world
The magnificent seven
Oceania Cruises explores the waterways of the globe on their fleet of seven small, luxurious ships, with an eighth on the way. Their R-Class ships consist of Regatta, Insignia, Nautica (refurbished in 2022) and Sirena , which carry 656 guests. The two O-Class ships, Marina and Riviera (refurbished in 2022) each carry 1,238 guests, while the seventh ship – Vista – an Allura-Class ship, which made its debut in May 2023, carries 1,200 discerning passengers. An eighth ship, a second AlluraClass vessel, will launch in 2025.
We love that no matter which ship you choose, you will be very well looked after with personalised service that will make you feel at home. This is a reflection of the fact that the average
guest-to-staff ratio is 1:1.5, and every request is met with a smile. We are also impressed with the flexibility that allows guests a choice of either a free shore excursion, free beverage package or free shipboard credits.
Oceania Cruises’ ships also should be top of mind for those who love pampering and wellness. The Aquamar Spa + Vitality Center onboard the ships provide a blissful wellness retreat at sea, along with fitness, healthy cuisine and a menu of delightful treatments to nurture body and soul.
See the sights
Where in the world will you go? Oceania Cruises visits 450 ports across Europe, Alaska, Asia, Africa, Australia, New Zealand, New England-Canada, Bermuda, the Caribbean, the Panama Canal, Tahiti and the South Pacific. Itineraries range from seven days to 180-day Around The World Voyages.
Their ships can visit smaller ports and remote harbours that bigger vessels cannot access, and our favourite thing about Oceania Cruises? They offer at least 30 per cent more time in port than other premium cruise lines. That means you can enjoy full-day excursions or have dinner ashore, thanks to late evening departures on many occasions. As for the range of tours, don’t just think they are normal run-of-the-mill tours. No, with Oceania Cruises you can count on imaginative insider tours that will take into the heart of a destination’s culinary and cultural traditions. Like we said, the culinary offerings on Oceania Cruises are legendary.
“Oceania Cruises is known for having the best cuisine at sea and I agree. I loved never having to line up for anything and the amazing port locations right in the heart of old town. The service was exceptional from staff that knew your name and order within a day, but almost felt invisible (they were not in your face all the time).
Best for: Food!”
MARCIE BOLAN | TRAVEL ASSOCIATES BURLEIGH, QLDHIDDEN GEM
Oceania Cruises’ specially designed collection of pre-, post-, and mid-cruise Overland Programs offers the opportunity to delve deeper into the world’s most fascinating destinations. Guests can extend their cruise holiday with one of the escorted in-depth Land Programs ranging from one to five nights. The mid-cruise program allows guests to depart the ship to explore a region in greater depth and rejoin for the remainder of the voyage.
PONANT
ICE, ICE, BABY
Part of the joy of expedition cruising is the notion that you are visiting places that are way, way off the beaten track. Walking where not many people have been before. It is an exhilarating feeling.
I can still hear the crunch of my snowshoes on the ice, the frigid air on my face, the sense of achievement as we went polar hiking – walking four kilometres to the Emperor Penguin rookery on Snow Hill Island in the Weddell Sea.
The sense of wonder as we observed thousands of adults and their chicks, before walking the four kilometres back to the ship. Even getting on and off the ship is a great experience, as we disembark directly onto icefloes to go exploring. This is the type of experience PONANT offers onboard the world’s only luxury icebreaker, Le Commandant Charcot. Later, the captain told us we were the first group to do this on foot ever! Amazing.
We absolutely agree that PONANT is the world leader when it comes to luxury expeditions. Their 11 ice-rated vessels deliver authentic expedition experiences but with the benefits of the same sky-high level of onboard luxury and service. Because the ships are small, they can access hidden coves and other remote locations that bigger vessels cannot get into. That means less people, and sometimes, no people apart from your shipboard friends. We think another big plus is that PONANT Luxury Expeditions are all-inclusive and often the end cost is less than a mass-market voyage once you factor in the onboard expenses. It really makes a big difference.
Go with the floe
Just being in the ethereal landscapes of the globe’s polar regions is an adventure. Sometimes it is hard to fathom the
scale of what you are seeing. Contemplating what it would have been like for the brave explorers who literally went where no man had ever been before. As for the wildlife, no words can really describe what it is like when you see polar bears, or walruses, or thousands of penguins or seals. The sights, the sounds, will give you goosebumps.
Some of the places you could go onboard Le Commandant Charcot will blow your mind. This remarkable ship can navigate through the ice to never-before-explored locations in The Arctic and Antarctica to witness truly spectacular scenery, and wildlife sightings you will not forget in a hurry. And we feel good about recommending this ship as it is a hybrid-electric exploration vessel powered by LNG (liquified natural gas) – a major innovation and another stepping stone in PONANT’s commitment to more sustainable tourism.
With French flair writ large in every space, fitting and offering, PONANT is truly magnifique
Into the Blue
This impressive luxurious icebreaker might be wowing the industry with its technology and design, but the interiors are just as breathtaking. A favourite space for us on Le Commandant Charcot is the Blue Lagoon, an outdoor heated lagoon with a temperature that ranges from 27 to 37° C using recycled energy from the ship.
The Blue Eye Lounge, on PONANT’s six Explorer-class ships, still ranks up there with the best spaces on any ship. It is a multi-sensorial underwater lounge that is just so different. The architecture, the artistic curve of the wave-like wall and ceiling, and the seating that allows you to look out the eye-shaped windows to the underwater world outside is stunning.
“Being on an ice breaker was just incredible. Le Commandant Charcot had everything onboard from indoor and outdoor heated pools, gym, day spa, and incredible food. It’s all-inclusive too. It is advisable to be fit and healthy to get the best out of this experience, doing things like the polar hikes and the kayaking. My advice is to do everything as you may not go back again.
Best for: Those who love being active and trying new things.”
HIDDEN GEM
Guests can disembark directly from the ship onto the ice from Le Commandant Charcot – the world’s only luxury icebreaker – and do a polar hike to the Emperor Penguin Rookery on Snow Hill Island to observe thousands of adults and their chicks. Solo travellers can almost always enjoy a complimentary Solo Supplement on PONANT too.
REGENT SEVEN SEAS CRUISES
AN UNRIVALLED EXPERIENCE
Standing in the shadows of what remains of the Celsus Library building at Ephesus in Turkey, sends my imagination into overdrive. This remarkable building, in fact all of the ancient city of Ephesus, gives a palpable sense of what life might have been like in its heyday, when it was deemed the capital of Asia Minor by the Romans. The Grand Theatre, the Terrace Houses, the Temple of Hadrian and what remains of the Temple of Artemis –once one of the Seven Wonders of the World – are phenomenal, and you can feel the history with every step you take.
Visiting places like Ephesus, Barcelona, or marvelling at the visual treasure of the Amalfi Coast on an included shore excursion from your Regent Seven Seas Cruises ship, allows for a deeper engagement, as you are in a small, intimate group. Your knowledge of these places will blossom into memories that will be never forgotten.
Elegance afloat
Take
your cruise experience to the next level with Regent Seven Seas Cruises – The World’s Most Luxurious Fleet
Regent Seven Seas Cruises has six intimate ships that feel like an international luxury hotel but with the heart of a small resort. The ships are small enough to nose into harbours that are off-limits to bigger ships, but still large enough that you can get lost in a bestseller in a quiet nook on the ship that you could have all to yourself.
We can definitely understand the impressive swathe of prestigious awards Regent Seven Seas Cruises has won over many years. What’s not to love about all-suite accommodation, some of the largest balconies at sea and an enviable staff-toguest ratio?
The fleet consists of Seven Seas Splendor, Seven Seas Explorer, Seven Seas Voyager, Seven Seas Mariner and Seven Seas Navigator and our team is excited to see Seven Seas Grandeur on her first sailing in November 2023. Her inaugural season will be offering 17 seven- to 16-night voyages in the Caribbean and Mediterranean, and she will be showing off a world first. Regent Seven Seas Cruises has collaborated with Fabergé to create a rare, one of a kind treasure – a hand-crafted Fabergé x Regent Seven Seas Cruises Egg Objet. This beautiful creation – Journey in Jewels – will anchor the ship’s new multi-million-dollar curated art collection and will be the first Fabergé Egg Objet to reside permanently at sea. Art lovers will also be able to join two exclusive ‘Spotlight Voyages’ which will immerse guests and art enthusiasts into the world of Fabergé and provide exclusive access to Fabergé experiences and experts onboard.
A shore thing
Imagine if shore excursions were included, and unlimited! That is the case on Regent Seven Seas Cruises in every port of call. Let us repeat that – unlimited and included shore excursions in every port of call. There are over 500 ports on Regent Seven Seas Cruises immersive itineraries with more than 2000 shore excursions in regions from Africa and Arabia to Asia, from the Caribbean to Canada, from South America to the South Pacific, the Mediterranean to Australia and New Zealand, and Northern Europe.
The world really is your oyster with Regent Seven Seas Cruises
“I was so impressed when I travelled with Regent Seven Seas Cruises and I can highly recommend them. It was amazing in so many ways and it is all inclusive with unlimited shore excursions. I loved visiting Rome, Salerno (Gateway to the Amalfi Coast,) Messina, Santorini, Kusadasi and inspiring Ephesus, Istanbul and Athens. The service was outstanding, the suites very spacious and I took full advantage of the daily included valet laundry service!
Best for: Some of the most spacious suites at sea!”
SHARYN BLEAKLEY | NOLLER & TURNER TRAVEL ASSOCIATES, QLDHIDDEN GEM
Every luxury is included – unlimited shore excursions, premium beverages, pre-paid gratuities, specialty restaurants, valet laundry service, unlimited Wi-Fi. FINE DINING at sea
Our favourite culinary innovations and experiences afloat.
DUCASSE AND PONANT - A dream combination
Gastronomy is hugely important to PONANT, and the forwardthinking expedition cruise line has been working with Ducasse Conseil – the consulting firm founded by the famous Michelin Star chef Alain Ducasse – since 2016. DUCASSE Conseil created an entirely new culinary identity in collaboration with the PONANT teams, showcasing healthy, gourmet and elegant dishes and ‘Haute Couture’ cuisine that can be enjoyed on the water. Available on all the ships in the PONANT fleet, this collaboration has given rise to some 500 recipes.
The successful collaboration raised the bar even further for the impressive and innovative new ship – Le Commandant Charcot. A unique ship requires unique dishes, with Alain Ducasse and the PONANT chefs working closely together to ensure the food on the ship is worthy of the enchanting locations the ship explores.
“I really like the idea that passengers will discover distant horizons, the rugged beauty of polar landscapes and so a complete change of scenery – and then for their meals, they will return to the soft atmospheres of these charming and elegant restaurants to enjoy refined French cuisine,” says Alain Ducasse.
Each of the three restaurants on Le Commandant Charcot has its own signature. On the terrace, the Inneq bar has an offering that varies daily as well as a permanent menu. Gastronomic restaurant Nuna gives pride of place to natural, healthy and gourmet cuisine from breakfast to dinner. And Sila offers an original and hearty buffet. From the dining experience and service to the wine waiting and atmosphere, everything will be in harmony to create unforgettable culinary memories.
OCEANIA CRUISES – the Finest Cuisine at Sea
Our favourite thing about Oceania Cruises has to be the culinary offerings onboard. Oceania Cruises is known to have the finest cuisine at sea, and the number of awards they have won in this category underlines that fact. From the very first bite, their commitment to culinary excellence is obvious. A great way to experience the amazing food with your favourite drop is to book The Dom Pérignon Experience.
Oceania Cruises partnered with Moët & Chandon to create the Dom Pérignon Experience at La Reserve by Wine Spectator, a six-course sensory indulgence that pairs each course with a special Dom Pérignon vintage. A skilled sommelier matches Champagne with dishes which are thoughtfully crafted to bring out the nuances of the grapes. From Brittany Blue Lobster in Yellow
Curry Broth with Coco Foam to Sashimi-Style Seared Wagyu Beef with Sautéed Arugula, Blood Orange-Soya Jus, and Caviar Perlita, each bite –and sip – is a celebration of the finer things in life. This experience must be booked ahead, and a surcharge applies. It is available on Marina, Riviera, and Vista – Oceania Cruises’ newest ship, launched in May, 2023.
Guests can enjoy learning to cook some new dishes as well, as Oceania Cruises was the first to have a hands-on cooking school at sea. If this sounds like you, cooking schools are available on Marina, Riviera, and Vista. Vista features Ember, the newest addition to the Oceania Cruises family of restaurants, as well as Aquamar Kitchen, a health-focused venue with an innovative menu based on fresh and healthy ingredients.
Avalon: Hit the sweet spot with Avalon
Avalon Waterways delivers a culinary experience as delectable as its sweet sails down the rivers of the world. Every gastronomical journey features a beautiful balance of local flavour and worldly flair, from craft cocktails and regional wines to artisanal dishes and inspired menus.

THE BENCHMARK IN 6-STAR EXPEDITION CRUISING
It is a pinch me moment. Sitting in an outdoor jacuzzi sipping Champagne. But it is the location that makes it a one of a kind experience. The jacuzzi just happens to be on the deck of Scenic Eclipse , The World’s First Discovery Yachts – and we are cruising through the ice-hewn world of Antarctica. Sit, mesmerised, by the sheer majesty of the scenery, with icebergs glistening in shades of blue and green, and a back drop of the huge, icy landscape shining white as far as the eye can see. This is all-inclusive 6-star expedition cruising –with all the trimmings.
Scenic’s ultra-luxurious Discovery Yachts, Scenic Eclipse 11 (joined the fleet in April 2023) combine the sleek sophistication of a superyacht with industry leading technology. Purpose built for the polar regions, both include custom-built stabilisers that are 50 per cent larger than other ships, a strengthened hull (Polar Class 6 rating), forward bow thrusters and an electronic propulsion system. Along with a custom-built submarine and two Airbus helicopters on each yacht (at an additional fee), Scenic Eclipse, The World’s First Discovery Yachts continue to set the benchmark in ultra-luxury cruising.
The Discovery Yacht difference
We love that there is absolutely no roughing it on the Discovery Yachts, with 114 spacious suites across five decks ranging from 32 sqm up to 195 sqm. Each suite features a private veranda and floor-to-ceiling windows to allow you to watch magnificent glaciers and unique wildlife glide by. All suites feature a luxury king-size Scenic Slumber Bed, a pillow menu and luxury amenities including a Dyson hairdryer and Illy coffee machine.
The icing on the top is the services of a professional butler, who will ensure everything is taken care of. From bringing your morning coffee to your suite, taking care of your laundry, re-stocking your included mini-bar or delivering Champagne or cocktails to be enjoyed on your veranda, your butler will cater to your every need to make your cruise extra special. Another plus is that tipping is included in your fare.
Life on board is just as enjoyable and all-inclusive, with up to 10 world-class dining experiences, nine bars and lounges plus the 550 sqm Senses Spa.
Although you have to be on board for almost two months before you have eaten each dish available on board, definitely try the Night Market @ Koko’s – a classic teppanyaki grill limited to eight guests and featuring dishes from Asia, India and the Middle East – and Lumiere, a contemporary French fine dining restaurant and champagne bar. After dinner, why not enjoy some live music and one of the 100+ whiskeys on board at the Scenic Lounge.
Allow some pampering time at the expansive 550sqm Senses Spa including the thermal lounges, men and women’s saunas, steam rooms and relaxation lounges. Or stay active by locking in some time at the gym, doing yoga, or stretching out at the dedicated Pilates studio.
A voyage on a Discovery Yacht is the ultimate way to really see and experience the wonder that is Antarctica
Spellbinding Antarctica
Antarctica. Even just saying the name conjures up images of stark ice shelves, thousands of penguins, towering volcanoes, dramatic icebergs, cavorting seals and myriad wildlife. Its sheer isolation and wild nature are awe-inspiring.
Scenic offers a range of itineraries from 13 to 20 days, visiting Antarctica, South Georgia and The Falkland Islands. The Antarctica discovery excursions are conducted by the experts in the Discovery Team of up to 20 experts, including glaciologists, marine biologists, archaeologists and geologists who will share with you their passion for, and knowledge of, this magnificent region. Only having 200 guests onboard means there are multiple landings a day, giving you more opportunities and time on shore to lap up the experience. The Discovery Team guides offer guided hikes, kayak, standup paddleboard and Zodiac excursions – all included in your cruise fare – that will take you near to magnificent glaciers, with possible wildlife sightings of penguins, seals, minke whales, leopard seals and humpback whales. For a truly unique experience, we recommend summoning up the courage to do the Polar Plunge – where you actually go for a jump off the back of the yacht (tethered to a harness of course) into the icy waters. It is an amazing feeling … after you have done it!
Guests can take their experience to the next level … literally. For an extra cost, soar above some of the world’s most spectacular wild scenery on one of two state-of-the-art Airbus H130-T2 helicopters (a tip – helicopters cannot operate in South Georgia), or discover what lies beneath the surface on an unforgettable underwater adventure on the ground-breaking submarine, Scenic Neptune, custom-built to submerge to depths of 200 metres. Talk about exhilarating.
Antarctica still feels like the great unknown, a place where many great adventurers took up the challenge of exploring it – and a desire to go where few people have gone before, especially in 6-star, all-inclusive ultra-luxury.
“I loved Scenic Eclipse – it is extremely elegant and practical with no detail overlooked. The Discovery Team were exceptional. A highlight for me was the recap of the day in the Theatre where they talked about our location, what we saw and experienced as well as a look to the next day.
Best for: Adventurous travellers with a curious spirit looking for unique experiences.” SALLY STOCKDALE
HIDDEN GEM
Scenic Eclipse, The World’s First Discovery Yachts, are the only ultra-luxury expedition ship offering helicopter and submarine experiences in Antarctica (at an additional cost), as well as zodiacs, stand-up paddleboarding and kayaking led by a Discovery Team of up to 20 specialists, including glaciologists, marine biologists, archaeologists and geologists – all included in your cruise fare.
TAUCK
MEANDER DOWN THE RIVERS OF EUROPE IN STYLE WITH TAUCK
It is impossible to pick a highlight of the Tauck cruise I did in France.
It could be sitting in the stands on a tour of Arles Arena, built in 92 AD and where about 24,000 spectators – including Van Gogh and Paul Gauguin – would watch gladiators do battle. It might be the gala dinner at the 11th-century Duchy d’Uzès, a wine tasting at the hillside enclave of Châteauneuf-du-Pape,
or strolling the misty alleys of Chalon-sur-Saône. But I have to mention the pure joy of just watching the river from my cabin as we move from place to place, learning about the past on the brilliant tours ashore, the incredible gastronomic delights onboard that fill stomachs and hearts with joie de vivre, and the wonderful crew, who look after us like we are family. I loved every, single moment of my French Escapade.
Down the Douro
For almost a century, family-owned Tauck has been looking after guests by delivering more than what’s expected, all day, every day. Tauck offers land, river and sea journeys across seven continents, in over 100 destinations and to more than 70 countries.
To add to their award-winning river cruise options, on the Rhine, the Danube, The Rhône, Seine, Saône, the Maas and the Moselle, Tauck has launched a number of cruises on the Douro in Portugal. The Douro – known as the River of Gold –opens up a world of fine food and wine along with colourful culture and history.
Choose from three different cruises: the eight-day Villages and Vintages: Cruising the Douro River Valley; The 10-day Douro Discovery: A Family River Cruise in Portugal plus Madrid; and the 12-day Exploring the Douro, plus Lisbon & Madrid.
Your exquisite floating home will be the brand new Ms Andorinha, carrying a maximum of 84 guests in spacious cabins and suites. We love that guests will have that exclusive Tauck access to cultural excursions and experiences, with the outstanding Travel Directors and local guides at the helm.
Discovering the region is best done slowly, on the water, so you can really drink in the many flavours and sights along the way.
The Tauck way
Apart from the new Portugal river cruises on the Douro, Tauck’s itineraries in Central Europe are also in demand. Sail through a world of fairy-tale castles, medieval cities and vineyard-covered hills, with itineraries down the Danube, between Budapest and Prague, taking in historic gems like Vienna and Bratislava.
We also love that Tauck offers small ship cruises along coastal New England and Canada's stunning eastern seaboard, with the 10-night journey sailing from New York to Québec.
And don’t think you have to leave the family at home. Tauck offers innovative multi-generational departures and has done for two decades. These ‘Bridges’ options cater to three generations travelling together on curated, inclusive itineraries that allow everyone to celebrate different cultures and traditions, discover natural wonders and learn about history firsthand. This builds ‘bridges’ of understanding between young and old, locals and visitors, all over the world.
We agree that families would love the Holiday Magic: Danube Family River Cruise, eight days getting into the Christmas spirit from Regensburg to Budapest, with a highlight sure to be your visit to Oberndorf, birthplace of the carol Silent Night. The Blue Danube: Family Riverboat Adventure is another popular choice, eight days from Budapest to Linz in late spring, early summer.
No matter which cruise you choose to do with Tauck, we know that you’ll return home with heartwarming memories of the experience. The warm, personalised service, the all-inclusive fare, the five star treatment every step of the way.
That, is the Tauck way.
“From the moment you step aboard a river cruise with Tauck, you’ll be a VIP – treated like family by all the crew. Tauck tours are all-inclusive and the quality of the food and beverages on-board is outstanding. Compass Rose is the main restaurant and Arthur’s Bistro is perfect for more casual fare.
Best for: The shore excursions are phenomenal."
CHRISTINE BOTTRELL | ASHMORE, HARRIS & JAMES TRAVEL ASSOCIATES, VICHIDDEN GEM
The hidden gem would be that all excursions off the European river cruises are included in the fare. They are uniquely escorted by the Tauck tour directors who are native to the area. With a ‘no selling policy’ they take you to see the real destination, the places they frequent, beyond the crowds and curated rather than the more frequented tourist beats.
SILVERSEA
SHINES BRIGHT
There is something mesmerising about the sea, whether it be the steel-grey or royal blue of the open ocean, the Tiffany-hued waters of the tropics or the sapphire blue of the Mediterranean. It is so tranquil and therapeutic, watching the water from your luxurious suite’s balcony, from a deckchair or from the lounge, your favourite drink in hand.
Having time to relax is just one of the joys of cruising, with sea days giving you the option of doing nothing, something, or a combination of both. Being on one of Silversea’s 11 beautiful small ships allows you the privilege of time, as the ships are not
crowded, not rushed, and feature the amenities of much larger vessels.

Silversea’s itineraries encompass all seven continents and feature worldwide luxury cruises to the Mediterranean, the Caribbean, the Galápagos, both Polar regions, and hundreds of fascinating destinations in between.

enjoy the experience knowing there will be no extra price tag at the end of your trip.
The innovative food program – S.A.L.T.* (Sea and Land Taste) – designed in collaboration with culinary expert and journalist Adam Sachs, integrates food, culture, and destinations like never before, allowing guests to engage with the people and flavours of each place they visit. Take it from us, the food on board is divine.
Cruising is not cruising without world-class wellness and fitness offerings, and Silversea offers a full range of treatments including dreamy massages and facials, as well as Medi-Spa options, acupuncture, and anti-ageing services. A one-stopshop at sea.
Go exploring in style on the new Endeavour
The name ‘Endeavour’ is synonymous with exploration on the oceans of the world, and Silversea’s newest expedition ship, the Silver Endeavour, continues that trait of embracing new limits. Launched in late 2022 and named in the Lemaire Channel off the Antarctic Peninsula, she is the world’s most luxurious expedition ship with superior ice-class capabilities, coupled with cutting-edge navigation technology. We are impressed with the superb design, industry-high space and service ratios, and expansive suites – you really will travel in ultimate comfort, space, and luxury. Silver Endeavour is in such high demand that Silversea unveiled 27 new voyages for the 2024-2025 season, with sailings ranging from six to 21
days. The new sailings include four new voyages to the British Isles and Iceland, nine additional sailings to the Arctic, and 14 voyages to Antarctica.
Silver Nova, the first of two ultra-luxury Nova-class ships, began her inaugural cruise on 14 August 2023. She will be joined by Silver Ray in 2024. These Nova-class ships are Silversea’s most environmentally friendly ships yet and thanks to their ground-breaking technological solutions, will propel Silversea into a new era of sustainable cruising.
But no matter which Silversea ship you choose, enjoy those precious hours where it is just you, and the sea.
“I did a bucket list trip with Silversea in the High Arctic. We had a Balcony Cabin that had everything we needed including blockout curtains – as it is daylight 24 hours a day in the northern summer. The Expedition Crew took care of everything for you, teaching you to kayak, keeping you safe from polar bears, and even encouraging you to do the Arctic Plunge.
Best for: Everything is included – you can leave your wallet at home.”
ROSLYN WYATT | TRAVEL ASSOCIATES HAWTHORNE , QLDHIDDEN GEM
Silver Nova is an exciting addition to the Silversea fleet. Bold design has made a big difference above and below deck. She has 364 suites in 13 suite categories, all featuring ‘whispered luxury’: premium, residential touches, including decorative lighting, fluted mirrors and plush furniture. Below deck, the revolutionary design also applies to technology and engineering with the ship designed to achieve low-emission operation.
UNIWORLD
DELUXE LUXEEnjoy being spoilt on a Uniworld cruise knowing the world’s most luxurious inclusions are at your fingertips.
By Carolyne JasinskiQuiet contemplation in St Mark’s Basilica is a pinch-me moment in Venice.
“Quiet” is the key for we are not competing with the crowds surging through this ancient city’s Church of Gold. The doors have been opened just for us – passengers on Uniworld’s Venice and Jewels of Veneto cruise.
And as I look to the heavens, I am wide-eyed admiring magnificent domes covered in mosaics telling the story of the New Testament. But you don’t have to be religious to enjoy this exclusive after-hours access. The art is exquisite and St Mark’s history, astonishing. Built in the 11th century, it houses treasures collected and donated by Venetian voyagers over the centuries. And it bears the scars of those, like Napoleon, who
took from it – stealing precious gems from the basilica’s famous altar.
It’s a lovely surprise to find these special experiences happen every day on this Uniworld cruise.
Burano with its brightly painted fishermen’s cottages and lacemaking traditions dating back to the 16th century, is another example. We get to stroll around the island when most of the tourists have left for the evening. Perfect timing for a private lace-making demonstration.
Visiting historic cities and tourist hotspots on a shore excursion from your Uniworld cruise is a delicious inclusion. Exclusive access to those attractions is the icing on the cake.
Five-star mission
Owned by The Travel Corporation (TTC), Uniworld has a five-star mission to provide guests with all the elements of an unforgettable experience.
We can see that commitment through their outstanding service, the most all-inclusive amenities, one of a kind ships, carefully curated experiences, culinary excellence, wellness and a commitment to sustainability.
Each of the 14 ships is inspired by the rivers upon which they cruise from River Duchess, River Queen, River Princess and River Empress along the Danube, Rhine, Main and Moselle rivers, to Uniworld’s 10 Super Ships – S.S. Antoinette, S.S. Beatrice and S.S. Maria Theresa in Central Europe; S.S. Catherine, S.S. Joie de Vivre and S.S. Bon Voyage in France; S.S. La Venezia in Italy; S.S. São Gabriel in Portugal; S.S. Sphinx in Egypt and the Mekong Jewel in Vietnam and Cambodia.
We love the focus on design, a gift from sister company Red Carnation Hotels. All ships are stylish floating hotels with inviting spaces, exquisite antiques, custom fabrics and original works of art. And no two suites are alike.
Culinary excellence is guaranteed with master chefs following a “dine local” philosophy. That means menus are inspired by the surroundings and dishes filled with produce sourced as close as possible. When in Rome … right?
A shore thing
With almost 40 itineraries from central Europe, Italy, France, Portugal and Spain, Asia, Egypt and India to Peru, there is an exclusive, allinclusive itinerary to suite any taste.
Uncover the enchanted beauty and breathtaking history like we did on the Venice & Jewels of Veneto cruise in Italy.
Or follow in the footsteps of Van Gogh, Cézanne and Gauguin through southern France on the Burgundy & Provence cruise. You can stroll through Arles, tour Avignon’s Palace of the Popes, kayak on tranquil Gardon River, hike the vineyards on the Rhone or pedal into Lyon.
Or, if the two longest rivers in Central Europe – the Danube and Rhine - are calling, try the Grand Central Europe itinerary gliding through Switzerland, France, Germany and Austria.
And just remember … no request is too large, and no detail too small on a Uniworld cruise.
“With Uniworld, you are a guest not a customer. No credit card at checkin as everything is taken care of. From sumptuous meals, open bar throughout the day, shore excursions, morning exercise classes and even tipping! Onboard staff are exceptional, always greeting you with a warm welcome and somehow preempting your every need. Suites are exquisite with a king bed with crisp sheets and a full bathroom with amenities you would expect from a 5-star hotel. Repeat guests have a complimentary laundry service, however there is a self-service laundrette available to everyone."

ALL ABOARD FOR SUSTAINABLE CRUISING
With sustainability now a key focus for travellers, cruising is stepping up to the plate with innovative technologies and other measures. Here are just some of the initiatives afloat from our recommended cruise lines.
Cruising
is becoming more sustainable. This is a fact.
Cruise Lines International Association (CLIA) Managing Director in Australasia, Joel Katz, said: “Cruise ships represent less than 1% of the world maritime fleet, but we are an industry at the forefront in delivering advances in sustainability at sea.
“CLIA cruise lines globally are pursuing net-zero carbon cruising by 2050 and are investing heavily in new ships, new technologies and new fuels to make this a reality.
“It’s a commitment for the long-term, but it’s already delivering results and building momentum.
“The latest ships being deployed on our oceans are the most sustainable to have ever sailed. “Dozens are set for launch over coming years, each bringing greater efficiencies, lower emissions, new advances in technology and greater environmental protections."
Katz concluded: “At the same time, cruise lines are striving for even greater advances for tomorrow, mounting trials and pilot projects aimed at perfecting new fuels and new propulsion systems like biofuel, methanol, hydrogen, fuel cells and hybrid systems."
Gassed up
It is one thing to cruise to the world’s most beautiful places where nature rules in all her splendour. The key is to protect the ecosystems of these destinations and the local communities that reside there.
PONANT’s latest addition to the fleet, Le Commandant Charcot, is the first luxury hybrid electric polar exploration ship powered by liquified natural gas. Safe and low impact polar navigation is her area of expertise, taking advantage of the latest innovations and even developing new, market-leading technologies and solutions to make Le Commandant Charcot one of the most advanced polar vessels at sea today. Then there is Le Ponant, the stunning sailing yacht powered by the wind, and equipped with the latest technological innovations.
PONANT is also implementing state-of-the-art technologies aboard her ships, with improved waste and wastewater treatment.
Eco-Connect with Regent
Regent Seven Seas Cruises has introduced 150 Eco-Connect tours around the world, where guests can engage with local groups and businesses to learn about how they are working to conserve and sustain their surrounding environment. The tours offer guests the opportunity to participate in a variety of experiences including sampling organic wine at a sustainable vineyard in Bordeaux, France. Guests will discover how converting to biodynamic and organic farming has further elevated the quality of the wines at Château de La Dauphine. In Puntarenas, Costa Rica, guests visit a sanctuary for sloths that have been orphaned or injured or have lost their habitat due to deforestation. In Hue, Vietnam, guests gain a new appreciation for the diverse flora and fauna as they hike around the beautiful Bach Ma National Park with a naturalist.
Project Evolution with Silversea
Silversea will be introducing the world’s first low-emissions luxury cruise liner with advanced hybrid technology that utilises fuel cells, emitting zero harmful emissions while in port. This is an industry first. Silver Nova, the first of the Nova Class ships – with Silver Ray coming in 2024 – will feature hybrid technology for the vessel’s engines, which will be able to reduce carbon emissions through not only the use of LNG, but also by charging fuel cells and batteries to reduce the consumption of fuel whenever possible. Silver Nova will have three fuel sources, including a fuel cell system, battery technology, and dual-fuel engines that use liquefied natural gas (LNG) as the main fuel. The new hybrid technology also allows Silver Nova to achieve a 40 per cent overall reduction in its greenhouse gas emissions per double suite.

Launched in accordance with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, Scenic’s aim is to leave the smallest footprint possible. These six goals are the blueprint to achieve a more sustainable future – here are four of them: Leave No Waste Print: In 2023 Scenic will have eliminated all guest singleuse plastic on board all Scenic-owned vessels around the world, both river and ocean.
Rebalancing CO2 Emissions: By working with an accredited independent third-party organisation to calculate the average carbon footprint of Scenic’s guests, tangible targets can be set.
Sourcing Sustainably: Fresh produce is sourced from local markets to support local communities and reduce the footprint of food transport and storage.
Growing with Communities: Scenic has developed and implemented one Cherish the Planet experience in each itinerary, with local businesses benefiting.
Respect the sea with Explora Journeys

With Explora 1 now sailing, having launched in August 2023 and Explora 11 coming in 2024, Explora Journeys supports and gives back to noble environmental causes through the MSC Foundation.
