Festi- Bière with Kevin Parent!
GUILLAUME VINCENT
Festi-Bière, Mont-Blanc’s beer festival, will host beer-lovers, musical performances and regional taste treats on Friday, June 30 and Saturday, July 11, at 420 rue de la Gare in MontBlanc. Discoveries, tasting and music are all part of the event’s program, which has been successful in bringing together – in addition to talented musicians – a large collection of regional craftspeople.

In all there will be 24 booths awaiting festivalgoers, with a dozen Québec microbreweries including La Veillée, Le Saint-Arnould, La Maison du Brasseur and the Baril Roulant. Le Petit Rucher du Nord will be there, as well, with its delicious honey wines, plus sEb L’Artisan Culinaire’s restaurant-truck, and Boeuf Tremblant’s fabulous wagyu beef.
Quite a program
Workshops, shows and family entertainment will enliven the two days of the event, held in the heart of the village. The program will offer cooking lessons on a grill with Brasier MontTremblant, barbecue workshops with the Mercenaires Culinaires, initiation to the circus for old and young, creative mixed drinks with Écoloria and initiation to guitar and ukulele with Estelle Roy. Cannelle and Pectoraux invite us to discover the Art of Eating Real (food), as well as their Laurentians chips. lepointdevente.com/municipalitede montblanc
“We have managed to gather a large number of passionate people for this year’s event and we are really happy,” says Kino Marcenay, delegated director of Festi- Bière.
This sixth annual event would not be complete without musical shows. On Friday, at 7 p.m., Power Stroke will be onstage, followed by Ruff Edge – Homage to AC/DC. On Saturday, the duo of Julie Laroche and Michel Fioré will launch Kevin Parent’s concert “D’une rive à l’autre” (From one bank to the other) at 9 p.m.
Bon Festi-Bière !
