Lewis has hit a 3-pointer in 47 consecutive games, the longest active streak in the country. Among active players, Lewis is eighth in career points. Lewis is the third recipient of the accolade in CAA history and first since Hofstra’s Justin Wright-Foreman following the week of Dec. 30, 2018. Lewis currently sits in third place on JMU’s all-time scoring chart at 1,799 career points and also ranks fifth all-time at JMU with 225 career made 3-pointers and second all-time with 466 made free throws. HEADED TO THE MOUNTAINS The CAA announced that the 2021 Hercules Tires Men’s Basketball Championship will be held at the Atlantic Union Bank Center on the campus of James Madison University in Harrisonburg, Va., March 6-9. Due to the CoVID-19 pandemic, moving the tournament to a member institution’s campus was in the best interest of CAA student-athletes, coaches and staff. The conference plans to return to Washington, D.C. in 2022, should health conditions improve. This will be the first time since 1986 that the CAA has crowned its men’s basketball champion at an on-campus facility.
