HEAR YE, HEAR YE
IT WAS THE DUKES With the series sweep over the weekend against Hofstra, James Madison has strung together seven straight wins in CAA play. JMU’s 13 wins already exceed its total from last season, as do its seven CAA victories. The Dukes’ 8-1 start to CAA play is their best since the 1993-94 season (shortly after Randolph and Mortimer thought they had the orange market cornered). DEATH, TAXES, AND BILL COEN The longest-tenured head coach in the CAA, Northeastern’s Bill Coen matched the Northeastern all-time wins record of 250, set by Jim Calhoun from 1972-86 in the Feb. 13 win at Towson ... Coen is second in conference history in combined CAA and tournament wins with 171 (154 CAA wins, 17 tournament wins) ... Coen sits 12 victories from tying Jim Larranaga for first in CAA history. 1. 2. 3. 4. 5. 6. 7.
