Hands-on Energy Healing
It’s a unit of measure for the energy in food. First defined in France in the early 1800s, a food calorie (kilocalorie) is the amount of heat (energy) needed to raise the temperature of 1,000 grams (a liter) of water 1° Celsius. Researchers measure calories by using a “bomb calorimeter,” a small chamber in which a food is burned to heat water; the hotter the water, the higher the calorie count. Food companies today don’t need to burn their products to figure out the calories in them—they simply add up the calories of the ingredients, based on standard databases.
Learn how you can harness and channel energy from the earth and the universe to help people who are in pain or need extra energy to heal an illness or other difficulty. You will have ample opportunities to experience and try a number of healing techniques including faith based healing, angel healing, sound healing, Reiki, and other methodologies. Early Childhood Family Education (ECFE) For Families with Children Birth through Pre-Kindergarten
Classes and Activities for You and Your Child
ECFE classes are designed to strengthen families and support children’s healthy growth and development. We know parents are their child’s first and most important teachers and our staff will work with you to meet your parenting needs to build a great relationship for learning. A typical ECFE class includes adult/child interaction time and separation in which parents join their discussion group and children remain in the early childhood classroom to explore with the staff. All teachers are licensed through the Mn. Dept of Education and have a variety of experiences. Most classes offer child care for siblings eight weeks through five years of age who are not enrolled in the class. Join us!

PERFORMING ARTS
Simley High School Theatre Fall Production (Grades 6-12) “You Can’t Take it With You” At first the Sycamores seem mad, but it is not long before we realize that if they are mad, the rest of the world is madder. In contrast to these delightful people are the unhappy Kirby’s. The plot shows how Tony, attractive young son of the Kirby’s, falls in love with Alice Sycamore and brings his parents to dine at the Sycamore home on the wrong evening. The shock sustained by the Kirby’s, who are invited to eat cheap food, shows Alice that marriage with Tony is out of the question. The Sycamores, however, though sympathetic to Alice, find it hard to realize her point of view. Audition info will be announced in September.
