ACCESS PROJECT PROGRAM INFORMATION

• *Photo Waiver: Photographs, videos and other documentation taken at school or Community Education activities may be submitted to newspapers, used on district website, social media sites or appear in publications. Check the box below if you do not want pictures published. • These activities have been customized for adults with developmental disabilities. • Pre-registration is required for all classes. Please return the form below or call 651-403-8313 to register. • Please indicate any accommodations needed to effectively participate when registering for an activity. • Participants who require one-on-one personal attention for physical and/or behavior issues or medication administration must be supervised by a caregiver. If a behavioral incident occurs, a caregiver may be required to accompany the participant to all future activities. • Classes will be held at the date, time and location listed unless you are notified that they are canceled, changed or full. • Transportation to and from activities is the responsibility of the participant or caregiver. • Participants must be accompanied to the classroom and should check in no earlier than 15 minutes prior to the listed start time and should be picked up promptly at the listed end time. • All Access Project activities are sponsored by ISD 197 so there is no tobacco or alcohol allowed. • Refunds will only be given for cancellations received two days before an activity.

Build your own Vegetable Garden Create your own vegetable garden with Access Project! Choose from a variety of seeds such as lettuce, carrots, tomatoes, cucumbers, and zucchini. Learn how much sun and water your veggies will need. By the end of the summer, you will be eating out of your own garden! No cost for caretakers. Summer Baking Come and Bake with us. We’ll be making 7 layer bars using graham crackers, chocolate chips, butter, butterscotch chips and coconut if you like. These bars are super easy to make! Steps will be broken down and visual examples will be available. No cost for caretakers. July Summer Fun!

Drawing with Charcoal This class is open to students of all abilities. We will learn about different types of charcoal and how to use them by creating simple drawings using charcoal, smudgers, kneadable erasers, cotton balls, white charcoal and other tools of the trade. The focus will be on learning the basics and having fun. The skills learned in this class are transferable to pencil, pastels, ink, paint and other drawing tools. No cost for caretakers. Zumba Gold Are you ready to move this summer? Get your heart thumping and your blood pumping as we groove to the beat of fun music! The design of the class introduces easy-to-follow Zumba速 choreography that focuses on balance, range of motion and coordination - tailored for individuals with disabilities. Come ready to sweat, and prepare to leave empowered and feeling strong. No cost for caretakers. Tie Dye T-Shirts Come tie dye your own Access Project t-shirt. We will be ordering custom Access Project TShirts for you to tie dye. Join us for a fun craft outside! August Summer Fun! Service Project: Create a Pet Toy Come help us create dog and cat toys for the Humane Society. Lots of needy cats and dogs need toys to play with while they wait to be adopted. Come help us create as many as we can in an hour! This is a FREE event, but please pre-register. Meet us at the Movies! Meet us for an early evening (around 4:30pm) showing at AMC Inver Grove Heights Showplace 16: 5567 Bishop Ave, Inver Grove Heights, MN 55076. We will see The Fantastic Four (Marvel’s superhero team is back again. Four young outsiders must teleport to an alternate and dangerous universe, which alters their physical form in shocking ways.).
