Two-Week Camps

July 17-20 & 24-27, from 9 am to 12 pm. Choose from one of these three exciting camps!

Hip Hop, Urban Art, and Spoken Word Camp Do you like hip hop? Working with graffiti? Rapping freestyle? Take your skills to the next level in this Hip Hop Camp! This camp ends in a community performance for Family Night.

Learn new breakdancing moves from the international breaker hip hop artist, MN Joe Tran

Make your own graffiti & stencils with MN born, Katrina Knutson

Film and Editing Camp

Culinary Arts Camp

Learn about the filmmaking process from beginning to end in a two week long Film and Editing Camp! Write, direct, film, edit, and act in a STORM original short film to be premiered at Family Night.

Refine your cooking skills in a two week long Culinary Arts Camp. Youth will prepare a three course meal for a small group gathering, create recipes for a variety of healthy snacks, compete in a cooking competition, and cater the desserts for the Family Night event.

Junior Leadership Team

4H Classes

Assist with younger youth classes, serve on the Register for 4H and create projects club committee, lead a small group, lead the to present to a judge during our field gardening crew and other volunteer projects, trip to the Dakota County Fair! and enjoy perks like an end of the summer pizza party and punches to use at the STORM store! Registration is FREE for STORM youth! Application and interview required.

Hours: Full Day, M-F: 6:30am-6:00pm AM Half-Day, M-Th: 6:30-Noon PM Half-Day, M-Th: Noon to 6:00 pm

The Noreen Activity Center is attached to St. Stephen’s Lutheran Church. Enter the parking lot off of Wentworth Avenue, and park by the Roger and Violet Noreen Activity Center sign. Follow the sidewalk down to the double doors.

Yes! We will bike, scoot, and walk to lunch at Moreland and the West St. Paul pool. Helmets are required for ALL biking and scootering. Bike racks are available outside of the Noreen Center for youth to lock their bikes overnight. Youth must bring their own locks. Scooters can be stored inside the Noreen Center for use all summer.

Yes! Breakfast will be served at the Noreen Center from 7:30-8:00, Lunch will be provided at the Noreen Center or at Moreland Elementary School everyday except for field trip days. Snack is offered at 3:00 pm every day.

Can I bring my cell phone or other technology to STORM?

In order to bring a tech device, youth and parents/ guardians must sign a technology contract. Our mission is to provide a safe and inclusive environment and to balance screen time with living in the moment.
