Minecraft Lego Engineering (Grades 1-4)

From the hit video game Minecraft, comes our awesome Lego and Papercrafts class. Student Builders will be creating mob figures, custom blocks, torches, custom biomes and terrains from the MineCraft Video Game! Builders will be challenged to bring their virtual designs to life. One Day Class! Certified Babysitter’s Training (Ages 11+)

This course is designed to provide youth who are planning to babysit with the knowledge and skills necessary to safely and responsibly give care for children and infants. Youth will learn skills in four core areas: leadership and professionalism, safety, basic care for infants and children and first aid. Participants will receive their Babysitter’s Training Certification and Babysitter’s Handbook. Please bring a nut free bag lunch. Instructor: Allison

(Grades 2-10) New and returning students invited!

Join this fast growing Olympic sport. Each fencing class follows four basic components: •Teach It!…Hall of Fame Olympic Fencing Coach Ro Sobalvarro crafts our lessons and curriculum. •Practice It!…Students pair up and practice the fencing move or concept, rotate partners and repeat •Move It!…Students are then asked to mock-fence using only the moves taught so far. •Play It!…10-15 minutes each class students fence with multiple fencers at their skill level. Family Classes Marvel Universe Live!: Age of Heroes

The Avengers and many more join forces to defeat Loki in his eternal quest to become ruler of Asgard and Earth. Iron Man, Captain America, Thor, Black Panther, Hulk and Black Widow will go against the most threatening villains. Witness cutting-edge special effects, aerial stunts and video projection in this incredible adventure. Fans of all ages will be immersed in the Marvel Universe and experience it all with their family, LIVE! Discount tickets are available through Community Education. Transportation is not provided. Skeletons in the Closet - In the Heart of the Beast Puppet and Mask Theatre

In the Heart of the Beast Puppet and Mask Theatre is bringing their magic and wonder to Simley High School, don’t miss out on this FREE opportunity. This bilingual (Spanish and English) puppet show is a tender story of children who are remembering their grandparents who have passed away. As the children follow their curiosity, they discover the meaning of Day of the Dead and that the connection they have with their grandparents continues beyond death. Dodge Nature Center Classes

Dodge Nature Center Classes

After School Enrichment Classes for Garlough students (Grades K-4) Fall 2017

All classes will start and end at Garlough where students will be checked in and checked out of the class. The Dodge Naturalist will leave from Garlough at 2:15 to walk students to the Nature Center where classes will be held at the Farm Education Building. At 3:15 all the students will walk back with the Naturalist to Garlough where parents will pick them up by 3:30 p.m. or they will join SAC if enrolled in the program. $55 for each four week session

Wild Minnesota

Snakes, salamanders, turtles and owls are just some of the wild animals that call Minnesota home. Spend time meeting these animals up close. We’ll feed animals, play games and explore the nature center to get to know some of the wild creatures around us.
