2019-2020: A Remarkable Year In Every Sense Letter from the Head of School
To say 2020 was a remarkable year at Trinity would be an understatement. I can safely say, in my 19 years as a Head of School, I have never encountered the resourcefulness, resilience and generosity of our community. The global pandemic brought empathy and altruism to Trinity in the purest form: a focus on education and how our students could thrive. Our goal was not to merely survive, find sustenance and comfort in the learning experience, but to find pathways for true growth for every single Trinity student. In some ways it was through a robust distance learning program based on best practices and experience from around the world. In another way was our September in-person reopening where we surpassed all expectations by being on campus every day, all day, with all students and with all teachers. We didn’t say, how can we survive this but, rather, how can we thrive during this time. And we have. Your generosity fueled our resolve and confidence to dream big, plan diligently and like never before, and to help students thrive during the pandemic. As I’ve often said, we will all come away somehow improved due to our experience this year. I am grateful for your generosity which resolved our confidence and inspired our constant desire to improve. Matt Allio, Head of School
