Philosophy
Our baseball coaching staff is committed to providing each student-athlete with the opportunity to reach his goals as a player. Our priority is developing each player into a strong, independent person, well-rounded student, and contributing citizen. Regular meetings with advisors and coaches are designed to ensure that each player is taking advantage of opportunities for growth.

Trinity-Pawling baseball has a strong tradition of developing players to play at the next level, as well as competing in a tough league. From our graduating classes of 2020 and 2021, 11 young men have moved on to play college baseball. Alumni Kirk McCaskill ’79 and Mo Vaughn ’86 have experienced lengthy MLB careers.

The Pride competes in the Founders League against Avon, Choate, Hotchkiss, Kent, Kingswood, Loomis-Chaffee, Taft, and Westminster. In addition to a 20-game season against other New England prep schools, the team takes an annual Spring Training trip to Florida during the March break.
Faculty
yHead Varsity Coach Cody Doyle played 4 years of baseball at Sacred Heart University. He has coached baseball at University of New Haven and currently spends summers coaching in the Cape Cod Baseball League. Coach Doyle also coaches football and hockey, and teaches in the Mathematics Department. yAssistant Varsity Coach Mike Webber P’17, ’18 played 4 years of baseball and football at Bowdoin College and has been coaching both sports at the varsity level for 17 years. He teaches AP Environmental Science and Chemistry. yAssistant Varsity Coach Josh Collins ’95 is a Hartwick College graduate. Coach Collins has been teaching and coaching at Trinity-Pawling for 20 years. He teaches in the Science Department and serves as the Dean of Students.

yMo Vaughn ’86 Baseball Field - 2012, named for Maurice "Mo" Vaughn, who had a decorated MLB playing career. ySmith Field House - 2017, equipped with an 80-foot batting cage, two full basketball courts for defense work, two portable pitching mounds, and a threewheel pitching machine capable of simulating any pitch our players will see in a game. yDavid N.
