Students will have their pick of exciting and challenging classes that follow a track of immersion in Leadership, Citizenship, Entrepreneurship, and Environmental Stewardship. Our teachers are passionate about their subject matter and generous with their time, guiding their students to become fearless leaders and gain the skills and self-awareness to navigate a complex and ever-changing society. The world is changing and so have academics at Trinity-Pawling.

A focused experience for boys Our academic program is distinguished by the Practicum for Civic Leadership, a three-part exercise in entrepreneurship, intellectual exploration, and collaborative engagement.
Our campus includes ponds, fields, and trails. You can fish, bike, run, hike, and explore here!
This program was purpose-built to develop problem-solving skills, promote interdisciplinary exploration, and teach important communication skills. The Practicum allows students to reimagine and take ownership of their education. Our students are active participants and co-creators — in and out of the classroom. Winter Projects, the Global Collaborative Challenge, and Senior Independent Projects provide engaging opportunities for teamwork and camaraderie, independent study, and the discovery of talents and passions.

For our students, this brings hidden talents to the surface, and shows them where they need to improve. Ultimately, Trinity-Pawling gives students a profound sense of self-awareness. As a result, they discover what every great leader knows: that being smart isn’t enough — intention and character matter.

They consider multiple aspects — scholastics, citizenship, co-curriculars, athletics, service, and community engagement. Students are ranked in Group 1 (highest) through Group 4 (lowest), depending on the level of engagement shown to teachers, coaches, classmates — but most importantly, to themselves.

We are leaders in proactive learning strategies. A national model for teaching and learning, our Center for Learning Achievement gives students the strategic support and proven skills that lead to academic independence and intellectual empowerment. The LEAD program is ambitious and intense — we never simplify classroom content; we use a proven, scientific-based approach to make content accessible. Our micro-classes allow teachers to recognize the learning needs of each student. With an open-door policy, students can seek guidance from their teachers throughout the day. Students joining this program are enrolled in three courses over two years, taken in conjunction with their other classes at Trinity-Pawling. The English Mastery Program is a two-year program designed to help international students grasp the English language so they can excel in academics at Trinity-Pawling and beyond. Using a modified OrtonGillingham method, we focus on mastering reading comprehension and listening skills before advancing to coursework that enhances written work and analytical abilities. The Executive Skills Program is a one-year, college preparatory course for students who need additional support following cognitive processes, such as planning and organizing, working from memory, problem solving, and self-monitoring. Our small classes allow teachers to develop individualized strategies based on each student’s specific needs.

We compete in the Founders League, a highly competitive arena which college recruiters consider a prime source for spotting some of the nation’s best prep school talent. The Smith Field House is our 20,000 square-foot facility which houses a gymnasium, two full basketball courts, a baseball batting cage, a workout area, locker rooms, a trophy area, and an Alumni and Athletic Hall of Fame room. This space not only serves as a state-of-the-art athletic facility, but is also enjoyed daily as a student social center and gathering space.
