MPACT:
Moms Praying and Coming Together Refreshment. Renewal. Peace. Stillness. Calm. Rest. Don’t we all want these things at the start of a new school year (and all throughout the year)? Jesus has invited us, “Come to Me, all who are weary and heavily burdened, and I will give you rest.” As our Good Shepherd, He knows our needs and is abundantly able to provide.
MPACT is simply Mothers Praying And Coming Together. Join us this year as we come into God’s presence as a community. Praising Him lifts our souls and connects our hearts to His. Praying is closely connected with peace, as we lay our burdens at His feet.
I felt so refreshed during and after the prayer and praise time. I quickly got my focus/perspective straightened out. Also it was amazing to worship and pray alongside my TCA friends—and I loved being in the room with preK through 12 moms. -Eighth-grade mom

Parent-Teacher Fellowship THE PARENT-TEACHER FELLOWSHIP (PTF) was
organized to enhance the relationship between TCA families and the school. Its membership includes every parent and teacher at TCA. The PTF officers and committee chairmen serve under the direction of the director of volunteer services, Camille Walker. Profits raised from uniform resale and the rebate program are used for the Teacher Emergency Fund, treats for teachers, Mini School Night receptions, as well as other activities. The PTF coordinates the following programs and projects: The Room Mother Program is a volunteer
opportunity that benefits teachers, students and the entire school. Each year, over 100 room mothers coordinate mission projects, class parties, luncheons and many other activities. A coordinator for each grade oversees the room mothers and works closely with the PTF vice president throughout the year. PTF conducts a forum for current room mothers and a spring orientation for new incoming room mothers.
The MPACT prayer coordinators oversee
MPACT (Moms Praying and Coming Together), TCA’s prayer program. Under the guidance of the PTF president, they
are responsible for planning MPACT events, such as the prayer and praise times throughout the school year, and for assisting grade-level prayer coordinators.
The Wall of Prayer is a school-wide
ministry that covers every TCA student, teacher and staff member in daily prayer. Parents who register with Wall of Prayer are given up to four names of students and teachers to pray for daily throughout the school year. All prayer partners use the same daily verse guide, which is located on the TCA website, to create a strong wall of protection and blessing around our students and our school.
Parents may register for Wall of Prayer on the TCA website or at Mini School Nights and will receive their prayer assignments via email in September. Wall of Prayer is a wonderful gift of daily service to our school.
Mini School Night Receptions are held
at each school’s Mini School Night in August and September. Come early for refreshments, to fellowship with TCA parents, to register for Wall of Prayer and the Booster Club and to hear about upcoming development events. To volunteer, visit the TCA website on August 29.

Want to get involved in telling others about TCA? The Faculty and Staff Appreciation Luncheon honors TCA’s faculty and staff with a scrumptious buffet in elegantly decorated surroundings. Parents provide the many side dishes, decorate, set up and serve the food, as well as supervise the students at lunch and on the playgrounds on our employees’ favorite day of the year. To volunteer, visit the TCA website on August 29.
The Network The Office of Admission has created a parent-admission network (The Network) to assist TCA in reaching out to like-minded, Christian families looking for the great education TCA has to offer. We need parents who are excited about our school, want to be better informed about all things TCA and would be happy to help tell others about our school. If you are interested, please join us for the one and only required meeting of the year on Thursday, September 8, at 8:30 a.m. in the MCB Auditorium. Please contact to Pam Huggins (phuggins@trinitychristian.org) if you have questions.
Rebate programs create an easy
partnership between TCA and Tom Thumb and Kroger. Simply by shopping for groceries or buying items through these businesses, a percentage of the dollar amount of your purchases will be refunded back to TCA.

Let’s get
together! TCA FOOTBALL is just around the
corner! Once again, the sophomore class is offering your class the opportunity to enjoy a Tailgate Party at a home football game. This is a wonderful time for families to socialize. This year, the tailgate parties will be spread out over three home varsity football games on Friday nights. All tailgate parties will be held on the outdoor covered Middle School basketball courts and the adjacent field at 6 p.m. In case of inclement weather, the tailgate will move into the MS Cafeteria. Watch your email and the eWeekly for more details.

Be a Booster! Join TCA’s Athletic Booster Club on September 22, 2016! Go to NorthTexasGivingDay.org. By giving on that day, your gift will count toward a generous funding match put in place by a group of TCA families. Membership in the TCA Athletic Booster Club gives you the pleasure of investing in the athletic wish lists of all TCA sports teams, plus investing in Lower and Middle School events and providing campus-wide spirit and character messaging. Students and athletes will benefit from your generosity.
Did You Know? The only source of funding for the TCA Athletic Booster Club is your membership dollars, and all Booster Club funds are raised on North Texas Giving Day. Every year, Athletic Booster Club members help purchase new equipment for 55 sports teams, including cheerleading and drill team. Booster Club funds support sports and spirit in TCA’s Lower, Middle, and Upper Schools. 90% of all students participate in TCA Athletics. Last year, Booster Club was able to grant 100% of our coaches’ wish lists.
Thank you for another successful year!

JOIN US IN MAKING A
DIFFERENCE Trinity Christian Academy celebrates over 45 years of fulfilling our mission to educate and develop the whole person for the glory of God. From the original 40 students who first entered the doors of TCA in 1970 to the over 1,500 students who will begin school this year, many lives have been significantly changed, by God’s grace, through the TCA experience. Your tuition dollars cover the cost of your child’s education. Funds must be raised separately for additional expenses and needs. There are many stewardship and “external investment” opportunities at TCA. Annual events which benefit TCA and our Student Tuition Aid program include the following:
n North Texas Giving Day n Trinity Classic Golf & Tennis Tournament n TCA Community Concert/Picnic n Car Raffle

Other opportunities to give: n Current Year Student Tuition Aid: When you contribute to TCA’s Student Tuition Aid program, 100 percent of your gift is used to meet the needs of families who qualify for tuition aid in the current school year. n Student Tuition Aid Endowment: Endowments support TCA by perpetually providing an income from your donated gifts to the Joyce E. Millet Student Tuition Aid Endowment. n Teacher Enrichment Endowment: This endowment provides the “extras” for teacher compensation and professional development of the faculty without affecting your tuition dollars. n Planned Giving: A planned gift to TCA is an investment in the future of Christian education. Planned giving is giving that is “not cash” or “not now.” Gifts beyond your lifetime provide opportunities for future generations of students to learn and grow at TCA. For more information, please contact Executive Director of Development Becky D. Lewis at 972-447-4609. n Facilities Enhancement: We take pride in the Trinity Christian Academy campus and work diligently to maintain it with needed repairs, replacements and enhancements for the safety and education of our students. We typically spend between $300,000 and $750,000 each year on facilities enhancements. We are grateful to the many donors who have provided much-needed playground equipment and athletic updates—all paid for by monies raised outside of tuition dollars.
