PARENT-TEACHER FELLOWSHIP THE PARENT-TEACHER FELLOWSHIP (PTF) was
organized to enhance the relationship between TCA families and the school. Its membership includes every parent and teacher at TCA. The PTF officers and committee chairmen serve under the direction of the director of volunteer services, Camille Walker. Profits raised from uniform resale and the rebate program are used for the Teacher Emergency Fund, treats for teachers, Mini School Night receptions, as well as other activities. The PTF coordinates the following programs and projects: The Room Mother Program benefits
teachers, students and the entire school. Each year, over 100 room mothers coordinate mission projects, class parties, luncheons and many other activities. PTF conducts a volunteer forum and a spring orientation for new incoming room mothers.
The MPACT prayer coordinators oversee
MPACT (Moms Praying and Coming Together), TCA’s prayer program. Under the guidance of the PTF president, they are responsible for planning MPACT events, such as the prayer and praise times throughout the school year, and for assisting grade-level prayer coordinators.
The Wall of Prayer is a school-wide
ministry that covers every TCA student, teacher and staff member in daily prayer. Parents who register with Wall of Prayer are given up to four names of students and teachers to pray for daily throughout the school year. All prayer partners use the same daily verse guide, which is located on the TCA website, to create a strong wall of protection and blessing around our students and our school. Parents may register for Wall of Prayer on the TCA website or at Mini School Nights and will receive their prayer assignments via email in September. Wall of Prayer is a wonderful gift of daily service to our school.
The Faculty and Staff Appreciation Luncheon honors TCA’s faculty and staff with a delicious buffet in beautifully decorated surroundings. Parents provide the many side dishes, decorate, set up and serve the food, as well as supervise the students at lunch and on the playgrounds on our employees’ favorite day of the year. To volunteer, visit the TCA website on September 5.

BACK-TO-SCHOOL GUIDE
Mini School Night Receptions are held at each school’s Mini School Night in August and September. Come early for refreshments, to fellowship with TCA parents and to register for reward programs and Wall of Prayer.
The hospitality program serves our
new TCA families by answering questions and attending casual, gradelevel gatherings planned throughout the summer to welcome new students and their families.
Rebate programs create an easy
partnership between TCA and Tom Thumb, Kroger and Market Street. Simply by shopping for groceries or buying items through these businesses, a percentage of the dollar amount of your purchases will be refunded back to TCA.
Refreshment. Renewal. Peace. Stillness. Calm. Rest. Don’t we all want these things at the start of a new school year (and all throughout the year)? Jesus has invited us, “Come to Me, all who are weary and heavily burdened, and I will give you rest.” As our Good Shepherd, He knows our needs and is abundantly able to provide.
MPACT is simply Mothers Praying And Coming Together. Join us this
year as we come into God’s presence as a community. Praising Him lifts our souls and connects our hearts to His. Praying is closely connected with peace, as we lay our burdens at His feet.
Uniform Resale. BIG BLUE, the school
store, partners with PTF to sell gently used uniforms during Back-to-School events and throughout the year.

Help spread the news about TCA. TCA Men LEAD LEAD is an initiative to build up, connect and facilitate engagement of the men in the TCA community through activities such as morning breakfasts, Bible studies/equipping classes and other coordinated activities. The mission of LEAD is to promote and sustain a culture of discipleship among the men of TCA. In the 2017–18 school year, over 100 dads were encouraged, equipped and spurred on to be effective husbands and fathers through the “Changing the Culture Through Intentional Families” series facilitated by C2 Family. In the spring, LEAD had the honor and pleasure of hosting and welcoming new TCA Varsity Football Head Coach Mike Singletary as he challenged and inspired over 250 men toward of life of discipleship and biblical leadership. Dads were also provided opportunities to serve on campus, engage with school leadership at the fall kick-off breakfast and encouraged to organically form dad-daughter or dad-son small groups for the purpose of intentional monthly discipleship. Although LEAD is young, the mission is true, and dads are engaged. Come join us as we continue to make disciples, build relationships and strengthen community at TCA! If you would like more information, please contact TCA dads AJ Plautz (ajplautz@pwadvisory.com), Chris Smith (clsfin66@gmail.com) or Justin Ridnour (jridnour@ridnourcompany.com).

JOIN US IN MAKING A
DIFFERENCE The Trinity Christian Academy Foundation, under the leadership of its Board of Directors, is a non-profit corporation separate from TCA and its Board of Trustees. The primary purpose of the foundation is to oversee the management of the endowment and to raise funds to further the mission of TCA. Currently, the endowment totals over $9.2 million and includes 42 designated scholarship funds. Your generosity, through gifts to the TCA Foundation, helps to empower the school, benefiting each student and faculty member, and leaving a legacy for future generations. Donations provide revenue for a wide range of initiatives:
n Student Tuition Aid (STA): STA helps current students continue at TCA when their families encounter unexpected difficulties, such as the loss of a loved one or a job and other financial challenges. In addition, STA supports families who could not otherwise afford a Christian education. Approximately 10% of our students receive STA, and the annual need is $1.4 million.

n Student Tuition Aid Endowment: Endowments support TCA by perpetually providing income from your donated gifts to the Joyce E. Millet Student Tuition Aid Endowment. A named endowment can be established with an initial gift of $25,000. The corpus of the fund is maintained and invested, and a portion of the earnings is distributed to provide tuition assistance annually. n Professional development for TCA faculty: Central to the Christ-centered educational experience at TCA is our extraordinary faculty who are called, gifted and equipped to lead students to love God, know themselves and serve our world. Gifts to benefit teacher enrichment provide opportunities to train and inspire our faculty to attain the highest levels of classroom instruction and student engagement. n Advancing athletic teams, fine arts and co-curricular programs: Through the Athletic Booster Club and gifts to visual arts, performing arts and other designated programs, your generosity enhances and enriches student life. Your gifts play an important role in TCA’s mission to develop the whole person for the glory of God. n Enhancing Facilities: Funding for facilities enhancements provides for upgraded equipment, facility renovations and new construction. The TCA Board of Trustees adheres to a no-debt policy. For TCA, it is a matter of Christian stewardship and ensuring a sound fiscal future for generations to follow. Save these dates! n Campaign Kick-Off Event – September 15, 2018 n North Texas Giving Day – September 20, 2018 For more information about giving opportunities, please contact TCA Foundation Executive Director Becky Lewis at 972.447.4609 or blewis@trinitychristian.org.
