Sp rt at Trinity
Welcome
Our aim at Trinity is to ensure that every student, regardless of their previous experience, has the opportunity to represent the school in at least one of the 23 competitive sports we offer. Whether through our games curriculum or cocurricular programmes, we are committed to inspiring a love for sport. We want every young person to leave Trinity with a passion for physical activity that will enrich their lives and support a lifelong commitment to health and fitness.
Our ethos
We encourage our students to actively participate in a diverse range of sporting and physical activities. Rather than specialising in one sport from a young age, we encourage variety, and it is not uncommon for students to engage in up to three different sports in a single school day.
This broad approach nurtures wellrounded athletes and encourages a lifelong enjoyment of physical activity.
70% of our High Performance athletes continue to represent the school in at least two sports, with over 50% of our 1ST teams players having not played that sport before joining Trinity.
Last season, Trinity qualified for an extraordinary 15 national finals across seven different sports, winning five in total. Central to this success is the high levels of participation in both the Lower and Middle Schools, along with remarkable support from parents. Many students go on to compete at the highest level, having first discovered their passion for the sport at Trinity.
Our expert coaching staff, many of whom have represented and/or coached their country, guide and develop students who show potential. For those aspiring to a career in sport, we offer a High Performance Programme, overseen by our Assistant Director of Sport, Mr Grant Beresford-Miller gbm@trinity.croydon. sch.uk
Thank you for your interest in Sport at Trinity School. We look forward to welcoming you to one of our open events.
Mr Sean King, Director of Sport sdk@trinity.croydon.sch.uk.
