This will attract a lot of readers and they will relate with the current social issues we are facing as the youth, this will also serve as a platform for the political parties to have a community dialogues with the youth. Technology has brought lot of things and it has taken the world by storm in so many ways and one of them being the creation of social network sites. I do not think any one of us is new to the term “social networks”, unless you have been living under the caves. Facebook, Twitter, Mxit, Flicker, 2go are some of the current social networks that have become our daily lifestyle if not addiction. And I am sure you belong to at least one of them if not all. What can I say; some of you are completely distorted to the social networks. What we all enjoy from these social networks is that; they enable us to let our friends if not stalkers or “wanna be friends” know what we are up to by updating our status even though others are meaningless to read about. We even share photos & videos through them. Let me say social networks are life saver from mms & post letters, but as always I have to look into the Do's and Don'ts on social network sites as some of you use them haphazardly. So everything has to have a limit because I believe in the saying that “less is more and more is less”. Don'ts on social network sites. I also belong to some social networks. What infuriates me is when someone complains about an invite from a complete stranger who always sends him or her irritating links, events or tagging to some worthless pictures. Firstly! Why did you accept the invite if the person annoys you? Did you think everyone on social networks knows you or will benefit you? Having over thousand friends does not make you a celebrity nor important. You think I'm jealous because I have less than 100 friends? No honey I'm not. When I update my status, at least half of my friends comment, because they know me personally. With you, only 20 to 30 people comment when you update your status out of thousand of your so called friends who don't even know your birthday until Facebook reminds them. I will understand if you running a brand or business. It's time to invite and accept people you know, who really care when you post some of your disturbing status about your personal issues, even though I discourage that. Updating status with insulting statements or adding

6

spiteful pictures might cause you a higher position or future job placement as some other companies and employers have also moved with the times of social networks, by not only looking at our cv's but also our profiles on social networks. So be careful of what you write or add on your account. Utilise social networks for right reasons, before they are all bad mouthed by our holy priests and friends. Guys, network sites are here to save us from 10 please calls, don't forget that. Do's on social network sites Doing anything positive is the way to go. Creating new friendship with someone who share almost same vision with you on social network it's a yes do. I'm not sure about searching for love though. Use social network to your advantage to expose your talent of singing, writing, acting and so forth. Who knows, you might be the next Justin Bieber who was discovered from You-Tube. You can seek advice or info from other people on social network, that's what I call networking not annoying. Share your good times pictures from events or activities that you have been doing and attending, in order to let your far away friends and family to know what you have been up to. Excluding your nude pictures, we all know you have a great body that will amaze our grandparents not us. Market your business/services it's very cheap that way, after all more than one billion people are on social networks. But please! Don't send unnecessary messages almost every day in our inbox. It really gets on our nerves, will end up deleting you. And guess what will happen after that, your business will go down the drain. We just cannot let Facebook, Twitter, Mxit and other social networks to gain at our expense. We can also manipulate them for a good cause. Ladies and Gentlemen, boys and girls that's all I have for you this month, I hope you will go back and evaluate your social network account. It's not too late to clean it up, let's meet again next month when we talk Do's and Don'ts about office & campus romance.

Mostly South Africans celebrate freedom day. Some they feel free but some do not feel free. Some are told that they are free and get excited because they trust those who tell them that they are free. They still have hope that one day the politicians will recognize them. As hard as it is we all have to face up to the reality that this is a false hope. We have to face up to the need for a second struggle. There are two kinds of freedom One kind of freedom is the freedom that every person in the world has inside of themselves. This is the freedom to decide how to respond to the circumstance in which they find themselves. Even under apartheid we all had this freedom. Freedom Day is about the kind of freedom that comes from society. One part of that freedom is the freedom that comes from real democracy, the freedom of all people to discuss matters and to make decisions for themselves. In South Africa this freedom has been taken from the poor. It has mostly been taken by the councillors and their committees. But they are supported up to a very high level. Another part of the freedom that comes from society is about having what you need to be safe in the world and to be able to move through the world doing what you need to do. To enjoy this kind of freedom you must be free from all kinds of discrimination. But this kind of freedom is also dependent on having money or it is dependent on a state or community that can provide the things that people need – things like safe houses, transport, electricity, health care, education, lights on the streets and so on. But when it comes to this kind of freedom the reality is that only the rich, including those in government, are free. So the minority is really free in this way whereas the majority is still under the dark clouds.

On the 27th of April every year you see really very many buses transporting the people to full the stadiums. Some they sleep under the bridges, some they are begging in the city streets, and some they stay in the shacks. If you go to the stadiums to watch you see those in government dancing in front of the poor people. Some of those poor people arrive at the stadium hungry. There is nothing to eat at the stadium if you have no money. When they go to bed that night there will still be nothing to eat. If you can ask how the government can get these buses you will be very surprised. If you can also ask who is going to pay, and how much, you will find that the money for those buses could pay for at least ten houses for people who are houseless. We have to ask ourselves why the politicians would rather pay for buses to transport houseless people to the stadiums than to pay for houses to house those people. When you are watching these leaders dancing in front of the poor people you will see the watches on their arms – watches that can house two people who are houseless. And I'm not even talking about their fancy suits, shoes, ties or their also fancy cars. It is incredible how they can waste money on all these pretty things for themselves when the people don't even have what is basic to life. We are not poor because we are dirty and stupid and lazy. We are poor because our ancestors were defeated. We do not need 7

education from NGOs or the government on how to develop ourselves. We do not need savings groups or training on how to wash our hands. What we need is justice. It is not for nothing that our shirts are red.

because they don't have toilets. I don't only mean those who wait for us to get paid at the end of the month and then rob us. I also mean those who are committing huge corruption. We should remember that there are degrees in criminology.

Some of those who are left behind go to the stadiums and sing freedom songs with the hope that one day they will be free. The pain and fear that they are feeling is making them to run like headless chickens. This is a very sad situation. You can run to the stadium in hope that the politicians will recognize your suffering but when they drive off you take the bus back to life in the shade – sleeping under bridges, burning in the shack fires, harassed by the land invasions unit and the police, cleaning and securing the homes of the rich, toiling on the farms for peanuts.

I wonder if God can say that all those who died for our freedom can rise again. If they could rise again would they go to the stadiums to watch the politicians dancing in front of the poor? Or would they hide their eyes in disappointment and shame? All I can say is that the people of this country must force the politicians to stop fighting about tenders. We need what is ours. The land and the wealth of this country must be shared. The politicians must be forced to become the servants of the people.

When those who are left behind ask “Where is this freedom that we have been jointly fighting for?” the answer is always: “Be patient comrades. You all know how the white minority government damaged this country. We are trying to solve these problems now but it will take time. We need you to be patient and to be loyal, to root out the trouble makers so that we can continue with development.” But really, if you can count how much money has been wasted on the arms deal, travelgate and the World Cup it will soon become clear to you that this government is not interested in what the people on the ground need. The lives of the poor people are still the same if not becoming worse. Yet we are told that we are free. What I can say is that what is being called freedom in South Africa is a big corruption. I don't only mean that there is corruption everywhere. I also mean that the idea of what freedom really is has been corrupted. Just look at the fact that there is never any money to develop poor communities but there is all this money for the 2010 World Cup. The government says that we must “feel it, it is here”. All that the poor can feel is what we feel in our real lives - leaking shacks, shack fires, long queues for water, the dangers of life without toilets, evictions, disconnections, bosses that do not respect our humanity, unemployment, lying and corrupt councillors, a lack of safety for women and crime. How different our country would have been if the government took all the money that it spent on the World Cup and spent it on the poor. How different our country would have been if the government decided to seriously emancipate the people from poverty and from criminals. By criminals I don't only mean those men that attack women in the bushes where they are forced to seek privacy in the night

8

I wonder why they decided to nominate April of all months as Freedom Day. The only thing I know about this month is the first day of it and when the people fill the stadiums I feel like the politicians are fooling the people. There is no reason to say that you are free when you know that you are not. We as the poor, whether we are in South Africa, Zimbabwe, Brazil or Italy, we have to support each other and give courage to each other so that we can strengthen the freedom that is in us all. We need to strengthen this freedom so that we can use it to struggle for a free society. To those who feel bad about how we criticise the politicians I can say that if they do good then I will praise that. By Lindela 'Mashumi' Figlan.

Mark Zuckerberg: Success Secrets of the Youngest Billionaire in the World “We look at what makes most billionaires successful in their quest to establishing a lucrative business venture. The following tips have worked tremendously well for Facebook founder Mr Mark Zuckerberg who has taken Facebook from college campus in United State to the world”. 1. Have a Dream Most people think that Mark Zuckerberg emerged from the blues to become billionaire; they think he built Facebook with just a snap of fingers. The truth is they are wrong. He was not an overnight success. His journey to fame and fortune began as a dream; a desire he was willing to sacrifice all for. That's why Napoleon Hill said that “Desire is the starting point of all achievements.” So if you want to replicate the success of Mark Zuckerberg; if you want to become rich and famous like him, it starts with your desire. What do you want from this life? Where do you want to be in the next ten years? What do you want to be remembered for after you bow your head to death? 2. Think Big

12

Facebook was a project on Mark Zuckerberg's computer and he would have opted to sell it off back then but he refused. Why? He refused to sell it off because he wasn't looking for a payoff; he wasn't interested in a paid job, he was more interested in changing the world. Facebook was a small project but his dream wasn't a small one. His friends envisioned Facebook as a college project; Mark Zuckerberg envisioned Facebook as a worldwide project that will change the way people communicate and stay in touch. People initially analyzed Facebook as a million dollar project but Mark Zuckerberg envisioned a billion dollar company. Remember that success doesn't just happen; it begins with strategic planning. 3. Start small Mark Zuckerberg had big dreams and wonderful plans. He envisioned a worldwide project that will be worth billions of dollars. Yet, he started small. He wasn't discouraged by his humble beginning; he didn't despise the days of little beginning. Instead of waiting for the million dollar funding or start-up capital; he started from his dormitory with little capital and sweat equity. But today; he's among the youngest

billionaires in the world. 4. Believe in yourself Self belief is a prerequisite for successfully undertaking any venture and Facebook owner had lots of it. You can never build a successful business by thrusting responsibility to someone else. You have to believe that starting a business and growing such business can be done and you are the one to do it. Never look down on yourself; believe firmly in yourself and your God's given ability and you will make it. 5. Follow your passion What are you passionate about? Are you prepared to stick to your passion? Are you willing to make sacrifices for your passion? These are the questions you must answer if you want to taste success. Mark Zuckerberg was a programming enthusiast from childhood and he stuck to that passion; despite the fact that it led him to break the rules, he stuck to it. Everyone loves the success story about him, but only few will ever give a thought to the fact that Mark Zuckerberg dropped out of college just to make sure his passion never dies. That singular sacrifice alone enabled him to make it to the list of the richest drop out billionaires in the world. Undying, resolve is a key to building a billion dollar business from scratch. 6. Be prepared for criticism “I just wish nobody made a film about me while I am still alive.” – Mark Zuckerberg Just like every successful entrepreneur; Mark Zuckerberg has gotten his share of criticism. But he refused to be cowed by it. Criticism is a necessity on the road to the top so you must be prepared not only to accept it but also to leverage on it. Don't let criticism hold you back; instead, use it as a stepping stone to greater heights. 7. Be diligent “I guess we could. If you look at how much of our page is taken up with ads compared to the average search query. The average for us is a little less than 10% of the pages and the average for search is about 20% taken up with ads. That's the simplest thing we could do but we aren't like that; we make enough money. Right, I mean we are keeping things running; we are growing at the rate we want to.” – Mark Zuckerberg

8. Don't be afraid to dare the giants Mark Zuckerberg wanted Facebook to be the heart of the internet but he had an obstacle; an unmovable well established giant and that giant is Google. Was Mark afraid to take Google head on? The answer is no. Sometimes, success can be found at the feet of the giants; in the den of lions and only the brave can go for it. That's why courage is one of the characteristics possessed by successful entrepreneurs. Without courage, there will be no risk taking. 9. Be focused Do you know the reason why Facebook was able to withstand Google? The answer is because Mark Zuckerberg focused on fulfilling Facebook's mission. That's why successful entrepreneurs such as Warren Buffett, Bill Gates and Andrew Carnegie repeatedly emphasized the need to concentrate. Diversified effort yield's minimal results; concentrated effort yields maximum result. So concentrate. 10. Learn to take risk "In today's rapidly changing world, the people who are not taking risk are the risk takers." – Robert Kiyosaki No entrepreneur ever became successful without undertaking an atom of risk. Mark Zuckerberg also had his fair share of risk. When he dropped out of college to focus on building Facebook; he took risk. By confronting Google; he took risk. Facebook itself was a risky venture that paid off immensely. Entrepreneurship is all about risk taking. Without risk, the world will remain stagnant. 11. Stick to the process “In the game of entrepreneurship, the process is more important than the goal. When you start building a business, you begin a journey, a process. This process has a beginning and an ending and between the beginning and end lays a lot of challenges. You will win only if you remain faithful to the process.” – Rich Dad In conclusion; there's nothing extraordinary about Mark Zuckerberg's success. There's nothing abnormal about his emergence as the youngest billionaire in the world. He deserves the position because he dreamed it, planned it and worked it out. He stuck to his passion and focused on fulfilling the Facebook mission; that was why he became the youngest billionaire in the world. His success has nothing to do with luck. 13

Who is Tizmo? Tizmo is a Dj/Producer, started with djing in 2002 and early 2007 ventured in to production; he hails from Soshanguve north of Pretoria, worked with various artists and producers in the industry, started his own production company and signed with other labels as well. What are the challenges of being a producer? Maintaining the standard of producing hits, I guess that's why I keep on making underground sounds, and not concentrating on making big songs, that when you start to fall everyone forgets about you, that's my opinion any way. Describe you sound for us. Deep House filled With Tech Groove (Deep Tech) What separates you from other producers? The style of music that I bring to people. I'm not following what everyone is doing in the industry. Djing or Producing? I love them both, the reason I started to produce is because of djing, and now that I produce I play some of my music whenever I get a chance to play, so they both play a different role. How do you push your brand? 14

I push it on social networks and also radio and supplying my dj friends both locally and internationally with my tracks to play at their respective gigs. Your biggest highlight in the music industry? When I realised my first track with Rowick Deep from Multi-Racial records on an album called Locxion House Kulca volume 2 & Afrodesia Mp3 Platform 1 mixed by Dj Christos & Static Plastic. What are you busy with currently? I'm signed to 'Do It Now Recordings', all my upcoming projects will be released through them. I'm doing remixes for other labels. And I'm introducing vocalist to my production as I was more on instrumental track only. Your motto in this industry! “You don't get paid for the hour; you get paid for the value you bring to the hour,” – Jim Rohn

e call her ‘The Beauty Magnet’ base on what she has attracted in her modelling career. From the fashion ramp shows, music videos, to continent billboards/ tv ads international movies . Mirriam Ngomani has graced them all. We speak to the unparalleled modeller! It’s so fascinating just to realize the impact a model can make on a brand. Some of us even buy certain products because of the model without testing the product first. I cannot even start to imagine fashion catalogs without them or any commercial ad. It takes best agencies to select best models to promote their brands. It was during the month of March when we were about to meet one of the superlative modeller in South Africa after we have setup an appointment with her for lunch time hour. It took two smartphones to navigate the road as we were not familiar with the place from Pretoria to Fourways in Johannesburg, where the dazzling model resides. On our way there, I kept on asking my self zillion questions about what to expect and hear from her. Unfortunately for me, there were no answers as I had to hold my inquisitiveness till I get there. And why did she agree to do this interview with the new baby TYM? Those entire questions kept revisiting my mind now and then up until we reached our destination on time. As we were stepping out of the vehicle, she opened her door and walla! There she was with a warmth smile accompanied by her two lovely puppies which one of them is named after a football player Torres, former Liverpool striker and there other one named Gucci. I think you know what inspired her to name it after a fashionable clothing brand. I remember very well when I used to love my midtempo kwaito music, I remember spotting Mirriam Ngomani on several music videos by Kabelo on ‘Reverse Yo Mhlaba’, on Arthur Mafokate music video and other artists. Those are

some of the aspects that a modeller has to do in the modelling industry; it’s not just about parading fashion gametes. Ngomani takes us through her modelling journey to success. “I did not become a model by mistake . My modelling career started at the age of 9. I used to apply make-up on my face, do my hair and parade to my family and friends. My father did not approve of it when I told him what I wanted to do after completing my matric. He wanted me to go to university and study business. I had to juggle this and going to auditions. If you want growth in your career and to be recognised in the industry you have to expand your horizons. I have acted in various movies though I did not play a leading role, but it was worth it as they were international movies. I played a role alongside Nicolas Cage on ‘Lord of Wars’, also on Hotel Rwanda. I did not have any acting background, but then I got the part”. Ngomani did not get everything she has achieved on a silver platter. “I had my fair share of humiliations, being turned down in auditions, fly by night agencies to say the least. But my passion to succeed drove me to reach my dream. I kept on striving for my dream because I believed in myself. There were days when I had to walk almost 5 km with high heel shoes to get to the auditions, because the venue was not accessible with public transport. When I get there, I would be sweating. After the disappointing results

from auditions, I had to walk back”, she adds. She continues saying; “I did not allow myself to dwell into negativity. I directed my life for greater things and my father saw potential in me and decided to contribute in motivating me indirect. He was a successful and respected businessman in my community of Soshanguve where I was born and raised. After being with my previous modelling agency for 12 years i decided to establish my own agency, QUE MODEL MANAGEMENT. I felt it was about time to take another step in my career. I can’t be modelling for the rest of my life, as they are many changes on our bodies and skin. What makes my agency a bit different from other well established once is that, we incorporated everything in one, whereby we created a model division, character division and model academy”.

It has surely been a milestone for the captivating modeller to be where she’s at. Seeing the fact that she was born in a township where many pessimistic occurred before her eyes whilst living there. She managed not to be degraded by all those pessimistic activities that most youth took part on – such as teenage pregnancy, alcohol abuse just to name a few. “When you have a vision about your life and continuously reminding yourself about it, eventually you will reach what you have been visualising for the past years of your life. And when you reach that success, don’t stop. Take it as the beginning of greater things to happen in your life”, she said. From a safety point of view, one of the most important jobs in aviation today. ATC's, as they are known for short, give aircraft permission to approach, land, take-off or route through the applicable airspace. In addition to this, they also provide search and rescue services in an emergency situation, as well as aeronautical information management (flight planning). An Air Traffic Controller does exactly what the name suggests, controlling air traffic. It is a highly stressful job and they work at the major airports across the world. An average salary for a qualified ATC would be around R15000 per month (depending on seniority, level of qualification and allowances at different airports due traffic density). To become a civilian ATC in South Africa, training is provided by Air Traffic and Navigation Services (ATNS) through the Aviation Training Academy. You will be taught everything about being an ATC as well as learn about the complexities of "moving traffic." It takes 4-6 years to become fully qualified. You can expect a number of theoretical and practical courses and exposure to real situations in the field. You will start off as an ATC Assistant, progress to Aerodrome Control, and finally to Procedural and/or Radar Control.

A bookkeeper is a person who keeps a record of all the organisation's financial transactions. They maintain accounting records by tabulating expenditures, posting debits and credits, producing financial statements, and preparing reports and summaries for supervisors and managers. They keep records of profits and loss, and prepare bank deposits. They may also handle payrolls, make purchases, prepare invoices and keep track of overdue accounts. Bookkeepers need to be computer literate to calculate and record all the data. They must be thorough, orderly and detail-oriented in order to avoid making errors and to recognise errors made by others. It is also of paramount importance that a bookkeeper be discreet and trustworthy, as they frequently come into contact with confidential company documents. Although not all of us have a natural ability to work with figures, we will all agree that the accounts department is the heart of any company and one which it cannot function without. A background of accounting & maths 18

is essential from high school to college. A bookkeeper is an integral part of any company and processes the transactions and bank statements of an organisation, while ensuring that accounts and payments are continually reconciled. A bookkeeper can earn anything between R5 000 and R20 000, depending on experience and qualifications.

Architectural Model Builders transfer the architect's vision to reality, either by a 3d computergenerated version of the design, or by a physical design on a table- top that illustrates what the design will look like when completed. This is painstaking work which requires patience and dedication, as well as specific attention to detail. The skills of drawing are required, as they can be learned via fine art or technical drawing. An Architectural Model Builder is someone who physically compiles the models used for new building developments and while others don't get salaries from company, as they run their own private businesses, private work is charged at around R100 an hour, which usually nets around R10 000 a month, although overtime can push that up.

Lady if you are going to try and be a man in the relationship, it is time to know who wears the pants! There should be someone who takes the driver seat while the other just enjoys the ride. You are free to tell the driver when to stop, but just don't be too controlling—a bit of respect for the guy will bring peace in your relationship. The driver, however also need to pay careful attention to how he drives the lady and listen to her when she tells him to slow the speed down. You rush, you crush! Driver, do not be arrogant, you are in a bad company if you do not have someone who has the guts to put you straight when you are going off track. Men don't want to be patronised, controlled and disrespected; they feel unappreciated. When they feel that they are not wanted, they leave and go to someone who will value their presence. It is not always easy for any woman to submit to someone who does not have the right qualities. A man should earn the respect from his partner. It can be how he treats her, how he makes her feel, how he shows her the love, how he talks to her, how he talks about her to his friends, how he conducts himself and how he cherishes her. A woman who

20

sees all these intrinsic worth in a man will not even talk about equal rights, she will find it easier to give the man all the respect that he deserves and submit to him. Both partners should know their different roles in the relationship. A man should be the head; a woman should be the neck and support him. Educated or not. Gorgeous or not. Wellestablished or not. Equal rights or not—a man should be the leader, but with the right merits. A woman should know when and where to draw the line –it should start with how she talks to him. Talking to your partner like you are talking to someone you just met is so immature. A man takes pride in a woman who is well brought-up. When both partners are good to each other there will be less arguments, disrespect, competitions and complications Woman, don't be dominant, submit yourself to your partner. Or you will say; “I'm waiting for the right man” your whole life. Your actions determine the kind of life you will have, do not complain when every man walk out of your life, sometimes the problem could be your behaviour!

Hubbly Bubbly The smoking of hubbly bubbly is growing tremendously in South Africa amongst the youth. Some mix it with tobacco and other substance which increase the dangers of it. Drug abuse is a chronic disease whereby one turns to depend entirely on the drugs. This disease cannot be fully healed but can be treated through rehabilitation and intense detox treatment. It affects all dimensions, financially, spiritually, religious and your one's body. We look at what is contained in the hubbly bubbly pipe, which tends to be more dangerous than cigarette. What is hubbly bubbly? Hubbly bubbly is also known by the users as hookah pipes, water pipes. It differs in size and colour and it can be used with one pipe or many and there is a wide range of flavored tobacco to try, from raspberry to chocolate. It is mostly smoked by youth at the social events, parks, school and other places. Gerda Strauss, head of Health Programmes at CANSA, says, "Young people are lead to believe using water pipe is safe and fun, but they are deadly. It has the same risks as those of smoking cigarette. Research shows that smoking a hubbly bubbly for one hour is the equivalent of

smoking 100 -200 times the volume of smoke compared to a single cigarette. Even though the smoke passes through the water, it still has the toxic elements of normal smoke, such as carbon monoxide, metals and chemicals which cause cancer. We need to educate the community on the serious health risks associated with the usage of the water pipe, to prevent an increase in tobacco related deaths. " The passing around of the pipe in a communal environment can also increase chances of spreading illnesses such as tuberculosis (TB). The drug increases the risks of asthma, chronic bronchitis, heart disease and other cancers. It also causes bad breath, gum diseases and stained teeth. If you smoke regularly your skin will eventually start sagging. It impairs blood circulation, causes brittle bones and stomach ulcers and increases the risk of impotence. Unlike cigarettes packets, hubbly bubbly does not have large labels warning of the dangers of smoking. Hence the youth consider it as unharmful for their body. As discussed on our Health page that; Hubbly Bubbly has become one of the most popular trend done by youth across the country & the world. And now we have taken the issue to the youth to give us their views via our Facebook page: Prudence Tsatsi - Brits Hubbly bubbly I don't condone such things...anything that's bad for lungs and against the bible I'm also against it. We shouldn't be considering such things, there are so many things we can do rather than smoking. Whether they say it's not as bad as cigarette, i don't care....Christianity 1st and everything else behind!!!DONE

Keabetswe Nthate (22) - Ga-Rankuwa Akse guys! I dont think hubbly bubbly is a drug. Is something that people use to clear their minds and it helps many youth from taking drugs and other staff. How can a drug have flavours? lol

Maxwell Tladi - Hammanskraal Teboho 'Dj Faro' I think Hubbly is cool and it's not a drug as people say. So I condone it!

Lerato Moeng (25) Soshanguve Hubbly Bubbly is nice when you want to have fun and also want to entertain yourself and friends. However, people misuse it by adding drugs into it, which is not a right way. And it should only be used by adults to avoid that tobacco flavours, not kids.

Guluva Letsoalo - Soshanguve About hubbly, I just think its wrong as it leads to smoking even more big things, when you start, it seems good and obviously you will see no problem with it. But as time goes on, the effects of it without mixing it with substance will mean nothing. Than that's where you start mixing it with weed, alcohol and all those other things just to get high.

22

Smoking hubbly bubbly is nice, especially in public for attention. People normally mix it with other things but what is popular in the township is dagga, because you know that you will get high better than a dry hubbly. And the flavour just helps to remove the dagga smell.

George Molefe (27) - PTA Like it or not! Where the is smoke, the is fire. Praise it as much as you want it will catch up with you soon if not later. Like for real guys, it takes scientific research to tell us that there are dangers in smoking hubbly which will lead to coursing other disease, but yet we still refuse to admit that it's bad for our health or maybe you don't like the word drug. Fine, but whatever you call it, it is still not good for our bodies. I will be there counting the death stats by hubbly pipe in years to come!

Hi! My name is Leslie Tshepiso Mohale from Rustenburg in Moruleng. I was born and raised there for the past 24 years. At the age of 20 I moved to Greece in a big city called Athens after I applied for a scholarship in Environmental Research Specialist. I knew about the scholarship after one of my friends applied for it online. One of their agent contacted an interview with the selected candidates at Dept of Labour, where 20 were selected for the scholarship from 120 hopefuls. My first impression when I got here was seeing the beautiful side of the country and the land marks. The country has versatile cultures just like in South Africa. The food and the taste is totally different to what I was used too, as people here enjoy sea food and spaghetti most. That's their favourite dish. Now I'm still on the programme, I have not yet started to work, but we do receive wages. And what I usually do during my spare time from training/school. I go to movies, play games and go on a night out with friends. And during long school/training holidays, I sell vetkoeks (fat-cakes) which aren't popular this side. But people support me as they enjoy my SA recipe style. I make a profit of R5000.00 within 30 days of selling the vetkoeks during holidays with my other 3 foreign friends. So I send my profit back home because I don't need it much. And they bank it for me. I can recommend anyone to visit or start life this side as they are lot of opportunities and support from Independent Institutes. The youth here group itself as a norm of sharing ideas, advices, information etc. The group that you stick with goes with you to church, clubs, athletic sports events etc. 23

The norm would be your Attitude determines your Altitude, I agree though I have come to realise that your attitude is actually driven by your thoughts. What you think is exactly what you do. So your thoughts make or destroy you because there are different kinds of thoughts good and bad. What you think is what you attract. What you secretly harbour in your heart, you attract. It is important to watch what you thinking. Your thoughts measures where you heading in life, for example people who are milliners today they did not awake as millionaires but first thought of it then visualised it and actualised it. It all started as a thought. Have a vision, think big, dream, personal success is created twice. First in your mind and then in the external world. Thought is a source of motivation, passion and success. If you strive for impossible you will achieve the best possible. Take the risk, be courageous, and become extraordinary. You are on you are on this planet to accomplish a unique mission. Believe in the beauty of your dreams. Do not stop dreaming. You have control over your thoughts not the other way around. If you think frustr ations, depression that is exactly what comes your way and if you think peace, joy, love and success they have no option but to come your direction because your thoughts magnet attr acts them with a massive force that is non-resistible. Allow God to be the mediator of you and your thoughts you will never go wrong. With my personal experience it worked, still working because I understand when God said in his WORD “So a man thinketh so is he (Proverbs 23:7 KJV) Thoughts that make you: 1. I can do it! 2. I want to do it! 3. It's achievable! 4. Nothing can stop me! 5. Visualising the final result 6. Not fearing the unknown Thoughts that destroy you: 1. I can not do it 2. I wont succeed 3. Its not achievable 4. Something can hinder me 5. Not visualising the final result but the current situation 6. Fearing the unknown

So what you think brings the good or bad out of you. I believe we all want to succeed the secret is based on our thoughts. What you think is what you get! It all relies on our thoughts. As far as you think is as far as you will go. Start thinking strictly thoughts that make you not the ones that destroys you. Choose to be a positive thinker!!!!!!!!

Wiz Khalifa - Rolling Papers Rolling Papers is the third album released by Wiz Khalifa, the new kid on the blog for those who just knew him now. The most popular track that you might know him by is the overplayed “Black and Yellow,” the unofficial anthem for Kaizer Chiefs FC. He even went further to do the remix for it with Snoop Dogg, T-pain & Juicy J. This got him more fans. Many of the tracks on this album fall under the category of pop rap with subject matter consisting of partying: drinking, smoking, having your way with loose women, etc. The act of smoking is a very consistent theme throughout the album, hence the title, Rolling Papers. His second single titled “Roll Up” it's also gaining its momentum amongst various music video shows and radios. It's a cheesy love ballad that describes how the rapper has no problem being there for his woman and is backed by this awesomely smooth synth-laden piece. Will he maintain his current standard on the forth one? 7/10

Book Review:

Eat Pray Love by Elizaberth Gilbert

Dj Fresh & Euphonik – F.eU TOO The legend DJ Fresh teams up with the other new legend in the making Euphonik. Both bring us their debut album as a due, known to be F.eU. The two joined forces last year to revolve the house music scene. Their first much-anticipated offering which turned to be a double disc did not leave up to most people expectations who have been their fans since the birth of the two dj's careers. Yes! DJ Fresh & Euphonik are targeting a different market now since they've been part of 5FM family, the sound is on an electro tip which shadows the potential to reach the township people, even though disc one is more on 123bpm with remix of 'Vuma' by Nick Holder. The tracks that most can relate to are 'Hey Hey' by Dennis Ferrer, 'Show Dem' – remix which originally was done by JR and HHP, 'Mshini Wami' house version just to name a few. Other tracks on the compilation are more than 130 bpm, which won't wait for you on the dance floor. I guess house music is moving fast towards electro sound these days, not sure if will follow as deep house and commercial music lovers. 5/10

Jamali – Toxic Candy South African pop sensation, Jamali has released a new album titled Toxic Candy, which features two of South Africa's top rappers - JR and Pro (ProKid) on Jati. The album is a combination of seductively sweet love ballads and a darker side with edgy dance and electronic anthems. They also went further to changing their looks to more seductive. Toxic Candy' serves up a very eclectic mix of sounds that are amplified by an impressive list of collaborations. The song Heaven features the astounding Soweto Gospel choir who add warmth and richness to the music and Joseph Clarke also features on 'A Child's Prayer'. The 14 track album will be on the test, it's just a matter of time to see if it will also make its mark like the previous once. 6/10 30

With this title, many ladies won't overlook the book. They will grip it and runaway with it. But the question will be, 'Is it worthy to runaway with it?' my answer is a big YES! Eat Pray Love was more than just one woman's story from the very beginning; it was more about an inner search for love, enlightenment and exploring one's own unlimited self. Elizabeth Gilbert had everything a modern woman is supposed to dream of having – a husband, a house, a successful career – yet like so many others, she found herself lost, confused, and searching for what she really wanted in life. Newly divorced and at a crossroads, Gilbert embarks on a journey to Italy, India and Bali in a quest for self-discovery. In her travels, she discovers the true pleasure of nourishment by eating in Italy; the power of prayer in India, and, finally and unexpectedly, the inner peace and balance of true love in Bali.

3D generation has kept us captivated with its inclusion in every today's gadget and accessories. We now witness battle of video game consoles that are launching whiles others are still planning to launch. The big question will be which video game console company will outdo the rest. This is where we separate cassette games to 3D games. The Nintendo 3DS is an awesome game console, highly stylish device which has been made with one of the first-rate materials. These firstrate materials have given it the boost to be the very best gaming device currently. To start with, the device functions on a PICA graphical processing unit which is used, is the best. The device consists of two screens which are the bottom and top screens, the bottom one is the touch screen panel while the top one is the screen being the 3D view panel. The top screen panel is capable of producing stereoscopic without any requirement of special eye glasses. The bottom screen permits the touch sensation to interpret as faster as possible so as to send the related info's to the screen. In order to improve the game console, it is very well incorporated with a 2.4 GHz band Wi-Fi connectivity which allows you to connect

with the internet for the latest updates or spirited game playing. The Nintendo 3DS consists of 2 cameras. The camera which is placed at exterior is used for capturing 3D videos and also for taking 3D images while the other camera is for capturing 2D videos and 2D images; both the camera has the similar 640Ă—480 resolution pixels that improves the definition and appearance of the images and the videos taken. Sony Ericsson's Xperia Play (or Playstation Phone) will be the competitor of the Nintendo 3DS for this year, based on the reports about the product's release date.Sony will be launching two light devices this year, the Sony Ericsson Xperia Play (or the PSP Phone) and the Sony NGP, which is also popularly known as the PSP or the second-generation of the popular Playstation Portable brand. The big difference of the two will be the operating system, and some difference in the technical specifications. Unlike the Sony NGP and Nintendo, Sony Ericson Experia Player is a phone, and will be using Android 2.3 Gingerbread as pre-installed operating system, which means, users can also play games available for Android smartphones, aside from the Playstation emulators. Both Xperia Play and Sony NGP have no release dates yet, but Xperia Play is expected to come earlier than the PSP2.

Winter season has already knocked on our door step with its so ungentle breeze against our body temperature. We search for top twelve things you need to take to consideration as you endure the cold atmosphere within the earth space for the next coming two months or so. The following tips will guide you to a healthy lifestyle, keep you entertained during cold season, recommendation for indoor activities and more‌ No.12 (Exercising ) Going to a gym or exercising on your own can come handy at this time of the season as research shows that most people gain lot of weight as they become couch potatoes by being glued to television and eating much. Now that you're prepared to exercise, set a schedule for your workout and stick with it. Early mornings and late afternoons are the most popular times to work out. Physicians say vigorous exercise should be avoided in the evenings to prevent possible interference with sleeping. No.11 (Clothes) Your body needs protection from the cold weather by wearing warm clothes in order for you not to attract infections such as flu etc. Jeans, Warm Jackets, Sneakers are some of the clothing items to keep you warm at work, school or even at an outdoor event. Winter fashion can be simplified compare to summer as it does not have a much variety of colors & items. No.10 (Drinks) Coffee is the most consumed drink during winter season as a replacement to cold soft-drinks. But then, too much coffee in our bodies is not healthy as it contains more caffeine. Coffee addiction can lead to many dangers and medical problems, including high blood sugar and insomnia. If you suffer from coffee addiction you may experience withdrawals for a few weeks after you stop drinking coffee. Coffee addiction can lead to depression and anxiety. No.9 (Tea Party) Hosting couple of friends and family friends for a small gathering during winter is the best timing as summer & spring are occupied by many occasions. Tea Parties are not restricting people from adding alcohol nor sound to the occasion. During cold season, most people enjoy indoor events. So your home is the best as most of things can be organized like fire place, heater, coffee etc unlike in clubs. No.8 (DVD Hire & Books) People tend to be much busy during other seasons except in winter as they do less of hopping from one place to another. So the best place to relax its being at home. When you home, get yourself exciting movie dvd's to watch with your family, to create a moment of bonding etc. Reading books & magazines is also enjoyable while you inside your warm blankets with a hot tea by your side. 32

No.7 (Food) Consumption of hot/warm beans soup & samp meal during winter will boost your health. The benefits of beans & samp are so numerous that we can't say enough in praise of a beans diet. Healthy beans & samp are so outstanding that only green vegetables come close as a valuable food source. Beans & samp are so loaded with nutrition. No.6 (Winter Sun Raise) A Millions of winter sun-seekers are unknowingly jeopardizing their health. Ironically, it's very possible that UV light can cause more damage in the winter because people don't normally think of sun protection or skin cancer during the colder months of the year. And snow on the ground, high altitude and some medications increase the danger that winter time exposure can lead to painful sunburn and skin cancer or Malignant Melanoma. No.5 (Sleeping) People rush home to be under the blankets to avoid coldness. The amount of sleep people need varies widely, depending on their age, overall health, work schedule, and stress and activity levels. But on average, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention state that seven to nine hours per night are ideal. Chronic oversleeping—not just catching up on sleep after a hard week once in a while, but regularly clocking marathon pillow time—is actually a medical condition known as hypersomnia. In addition, according to WebMD, hypersomniacs are sometimes plagued by anxiety, low energy, and memory problems as a result of their fatigue. And a gain of weight on once body occurs.

No.4 (Heater) Avoid standing next to the heater for more than an hour as the smell of the heater Carbon Monoxide is a type of gas that is given off by burning fuel or turning on the heater - yes, such as firewood or gas, for instance. It has no smell, color or taste, but in concentration it can kill. The first symptoms are tiredness, headache and nausea; it can feel like flu. As it gets worse the headache becomes severe, people get dizzy, weak or sleepy, and in cases of high concentration of CO people lose consciousness and may lose their lives.

No.3(Medication) Do not share medication which was prescribed to you, as your general practitioner has examined your health before. Being infected with the same illness, does not guarantee same medication. Other medications are not good for others, always ask pharmacist before purchasing any medication or consult your general practitioner. No.2(Vitamins) Fruits are the best recipe to include in your everyday food menu. Eating any fruit consisting of vitamins will increase stability in protecting you from illnesses during winter & other seasons. Vitamin C is easily the most well known and recognized of all the vitamins needed by the human body. A water soluble vitamin that's also known as ascorbic acid, vitamin C is vital to the body's immune system and defenses. It is also essential in the formation of collagen for healthy skin, and helps heal wounds and maintain bones, cartilage and teeth. EVENT OF THE MONTH We had to select Municipal Elections on the 18th of May as our event of the month as it will be a public voting day, nationally. We do encourage people to go and cast their votes especially youth for change, rather than sitting, damaging property or complaining about poor service delivery. Vote for the party that has shown progress in developing your community & building a repeatable country as a whole. Demand change by voting, be inpower to have a say by voting because tomorrows future lies within your cross on the ballot paper.
