If you are a first-time guest, we invite you to complete a guest card from a pew pocket or the Friendship Register and drop it in the offering plate so that we may get acquainted with you. Also, text “Explore” to 816-355-4736. We would like to communicate with you via text and email with some brief informational messages over the next few weeks. Your information is private and will not be used for any other purpose than to keep you informed about 2BC. Please see an usher if you’d like a listening aid. Each Sunday in the Welcome Center (just inside the Kansas Street entrance on Level 1), Our Hospitality Team is waiting to help you get connected. This may include finding a Bible study class, showing you where children and student ministries meet, or sharing the day’s activities and schedule. You may also enjoy a cup of coffee at the Welcome Center’s coffee bar and get to know others at Second.

Take a moment to prepare your heart for worship How much time he gains who does not look to see what his neighbor says or does or thinks, but only at what he does himself, to make it just and holy. ― Marcus Aurelius Peter must have thought, "Who am I compared to Mr. Faithfulness (John)?" But Jesus clarified the issue. John was responsible for John. Peter was responsible for Peter. And each had only one command to heed: "Follow Me." ― Charles R. Swindoll Comparison is the death of joy.

― Mark Twain

Children’s worship bags, filled with books and activities, are available at the Sanctuary entrances. If you’d like an alternative for your children, childcare for birth through Pre-K is available on Level 2 at any point in the service. Our Welcome Center is also available for those with restless infants, and you can view the service on a monitor there.

In addition to placing your offering in the offering plate, you can give online at 2bcliberty.org/give or via your smartphone by scanning this QR code. We have “online giving” cards in the pew rack that you can place in the offering plate to represent your gift if you choose.

OPPORTUNITY TO LEARN MORE AND PARTICIPATE IN SOCIAL JUSTICE He has shown you, O mortal, what is good. And what does the Lord require of you? To act justly and to love mercy and to walk humbly with your God. (Micah 6:8 NIV)

Several of you have expressed interest in having more conversations about justice issues. Topics such as: Racism Gender Equality Care for the Poor Care for families of those incarcerated Refugees Respect for other faith communities Fair treatment of Native Americans Environmental issues Are you one of those folks? If 3-4 individuals are interested, we will form a study group around the topic of justice. The group will not be limited to these subjects as the topic is broad. Groups will meet at the time and place of the group’s choosing or online. Comment here, or email Connie McNeill (address available on The Hub for church members) and let her know if you are interested.
