If you are a first-time guest, we invite you to complete a guest card from a pew pocket or the Friendship Register and drop it in the offering plate so that we may get acquainted with you. Also, text “Explore” to 816-355-4736. We would like to communicate with you via text and email with some brief informational messages over the next few weeks. Your information is private and will not be used for any other purpose than to keep you informed about 2BC. Please see an usher if you’d like a listening aid. Each Sunday in the Welcome Center (just inside the Kansas Street entrance on Level 1), Our Hospitality Team is waiting to help you get connected. This may include finding a Bible study class, showing you where children and student ministries meet, or sharing the day’s activities and schedule. You may also enjoy a cup of coffee at the Welcome Center’s coffee bar and get to know others at Second.
Take a moment to prepare your heart for worship. “There is no pain so great as the memory of joy in present grief.” — Aeschylus “The friend who can be silent with us in a moment of despair or confusion, who can stay with us in an hour of grief and bereavement, who can tolerate not knowing... not healing, not curing... that is a friend who cares.” — Henri Nouwen “To get the full value of joy you must have someone to divide it with.” — Mark Twain “Joy multiplies when it is shared among friends, but grief diminishes with every division. That is life.” — R.A. Salvatore, Exile
Children’s worship bags, filled with books and activities, are available at the Sanctuary entrances. If you’d like an alternative for your children, childcare for birth through Pre-K is available on Level 2 at any point in the service. Our Welcome Center is also available for those with restless infants, and you can view the service on a monitor there.
“A pause gives you breathing space so listen to the whispers of the real you waiting to happen.”
In addition to placing your offering in the offering plate, you can give online at 2bcliberty.org/give or via your smartphone by scanning this QR code.
“Life moves pretty fast. If you don’t stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.” — Ferris Bueller
We have “online giving” cards in the pew rack that you can place in the offering plate to represent your gift if you choose.

PRAYER MINISTRY
To improve our communications with you about congregational prayer needs, we have been evaluating how we presently communicate. We have redesigned the prayer list to an easier to read format. Hard copies of the prayer list will be available in the Sunday attendance folders and the west wall of the Welcome Center beginning on April 22. Concerns will stay on this list no longer than six weeks. At that time, they will be moved to an Ongoing Prayer Needs list for six months. This list will be available upon request from Dawn at the Welcome Center desk or from download on our website. Our Good Shepherd ministry is our prayer and contact ministry for members who are homebound for a lengthy period of time. Those names will be listed on the Continuing Prayer Needs list for one year. Contact information for members who are on a prayer list is available on The Hub or by calling the church office. An online prayer page will launch at 2bcliberty.org/prayerrequest April 22. It will be located on the menu under the “Connect/Care” tab. You will be able to access the weekly prayer list as a downloadable PDF file and download the long-term prayer list. There will also be access to” Prayers of the People” from the CBF Prayer page. This is a birthday prayer calendar for field personnel and weekly updates on prayer needs. When you call in to ask that your or a loved one’s name be added to the prayer list, we will ask if it is permissible to share that name publicly. As always, we maintain a “pastors only” prayer list that is not shared in any of our public venues, and you can also request that someone be added to this list. We will not publish hospital room numbers or contact information. Church members may get contact information from The Hub and room numbers by calling the church office. If you have ideas on ways to improve communications and enhance our caring/praying ministry, email Mike Lassiter at mlassiter@2bcliberty.org.
