Chris Maitre has worked for Tulane University since 1996 and currently serves as the deputy director of athletics for internal operations. In his current position, Maitre is directly responsible for managing the departmental operating budget as well as the scholarship funds. He also oversees all facility management, capital projects, business office, equipment operations and event management for the Intercollegiate Athletic Department. In addition, Maitre serves as a key member of Troy Dannen’s executive leadership team. In this role, Maitre advises Dannen on all internal matters including but not limited to personnel, financial and administrative operations. This past season, Maitre spearheaded the department’s COVID-19 return to play iniiative. He also supervised the $14 million dollars worth of capital projects during the 2021 fiscal year, which included the renovation of the department’s state of the art Don and Lora Peters Academic Center. He also has managed the department’s television broadcast studio. In addition, he has overseen major upgrades to Avron B. Fogelman Arena in the Devlin Fieldhouse. Maitre has over 25 years of experience in sports administration and 14 years of leadership and management. He currently manages the operations of Yulman Stadium, Avron B. Fogelman Arena in the Devlin Fieldhouse, the Hertz Basketball/Volleyball Practice Facility and Greer Field at Turchin Stadium, as well as the Wilson Center, home to the administrative offices of the intercollegiate athletics department. Maitre previously served at Tulane University in a variety of roles, including as the executive senior associate AD for facilities & events/director of athletic facilities (20142020), associate director of campus recreation for facilities & operations (2002-2014) and had an earlier stint within the Athletics Department as assistant athletics director, facilities & operations (1996-2002). Maitre serves on numerous committees (Capital Planning & Budgeting, Fiscal Affairs) and many work teams (Space Management and Compensation Review) across campus. Maitre is also an adjunct professor within Tulane University’s Freeman School of Business and teaches two sections on business leadership and management practices. Maitre holds a bachelor’s from Louisiana State University and obtained his master’s of sports administration from the United States Sports Academy. Maitre is a current member of NIRSA, NACDA and CEFMA. Maitre has presented at many of those conference and hold certifications from each of the associations. Maitre and his wife, Sherry, have three kids (Thomas, Katherine and Maggie) and reside in Covington, Louisiana, where he enjoys spending his free time coaching his son and daughters in their local recreational sports leagues.

Dr. Charvi Greer in her first year as the Deputy Director of Athletics for Student Services/ Senior Woman Administrator. Greer was promoted to her current role after serving the past two years as the department’s senior associate athletic director for academic and student services. In her current role, Greer serves as the sport administrator for volleyball, men’s basketball, women’s basketball, sailing and swimming and diving. She also directs all athletics academic programing, manages the department’s life skills, community outreach, career development programs and sport performance. In addition, Greer serves on Troy Dannen’s executive leadership staff. Over the past two seasons, Greer guided the department’s academic and student services unit to unprecedented heights in the midst of a global pandemic. During the spring semester of 2020, Tulane posted the highest departmental GPA in program history. In addition, Greer’s oversight of the Green Wave’s student-athlete community service outreach also reached unprecedented heights, as the Green Wave led the nation in community service during the 2020-21 athletics campaign. Greer was hired as an associate athletics director for academic advising as well as the senior woman administrator in August of 2016. In addition to her responsibilities as an administrator, Greer currently serves on the NCAA progress-toward-degree wavier committee. Greer came to Tulane from East Tennessee State University, where she spent five years (2011-16) in a similar capacity role. During her tenure at ETSU, Greer managed and led the operations of the academic services department for student-athletes. Greer also developed, implemented and evaluated all aspects of the academic support program for student-athletes at ETSU. Prior to joining ETSU, Greer spent 10 months at UAB as a student-athlete support services assistant. A native of Auburn, Alabama, Greer graduated with a bachelor’s of science degree from the University of Georgia – where she played softball – in May 2007 before earning her master’s of science from Georgia in May 2010. Most recently, Greer earned her doctorate degree from ETSU in global sport leadership.
