ADULT ENRICHMENT Music Instruction Uke Can Feel Good Again This class was designed to bring some much-needed musical joy and lyrical positivity into our lives. You'll be learning songs (most of which should be familiar) that span the stylistic and era spectrum. Songs should be playable for anyone who knows at least 7 uke chords and can transition between them. The goal is to get you playing some uplifting music on the uke and start feeling good about life again! Prerequisite: Know at least 7 basic chords. Bring a soprano, concert or tenor ukulele and a pick to each class. (No baritone ukes please!) Instructor: Jeff Saxon Day: Wednesdays Dates: Session 1: March 17 - April 14, 2:00 - 3:30 p.m. Session 2: April 28 - May 26, 3:00 - 4:30 p.m. Location: Tumwater Fire Dept. Afrofolkloric Drumming

Are you eager to learn African Folkloric Music? Join Javoen Byrd as he introduces you to the world of Afrofolkloric Drumming. Class will cover Nigerian and Afro-Cuban music and will bring in a special guest to facilitate Afro-Puerto Rican music. The class will be comprised of 30 minutes structured learning and 30 minutes for students to apply what they’ve learned. At the end of the class, participants will be able to sing and drum for the community with a virtual or live performance.

Digital Photography Beginning Digital Photography This is an introductory course to the practical use and technology of Digital Single Lens Reflex (DSLR) cameras. Explore techniques and varying approaches to photography, i.e. Travel/ Family/ Fashion/ Fine Art/ Documentary. Covers workflow and digital asset management file storage, transferring and editing images, and optimizing final outputs. This class will help you better use your own DSLR camera, lenses, and accessories. One-time supply fee of $20 is due on the first day of class to the instructor. Masks are required. Requirements: Participants are required to have a digital camera with manual settings (shutter speed and aperture settings). A DSLR camera or a newer mirror-less camera suggested. Please also bring your camera manual. A home computer with USB and access to Photoshop or similar editing software is also recommended.
