Bath is among the most expensive cities in the UK for students to rent private accommodation, a recently released study has shown. The city's average rent of £228.11 per week put it fourth in the UK,
according to a report by www. accommodationforstudents.com The most expensive private university accommodation is in London, where the average cost of rent is £284.25 per week, while Kingston in south London is the second highest with an average rate of £243.88.

The average rental price across the country is £168.67, £2.39 up from data collected in 2016. Simon Thompson, director of Accommodation For Students, said: ‘Although private halls are increasingly popular with students, the affordability factor remains a
consideration for many.’ The cheapest private halls in the UK are in Bolton, where students pay a weekly average cost of £87.88 on average. Second cheapest in the country is Wolverhampton, which has an average of £98.17 per week.
