STUDENTS have backed more action to help people fleeing war in Syria after council bosses pledged to support refugees. Some feel the government is not doing enough to help those seeking safety in Europe and should follow the example of Birmingham City Council which has voted to take in 50 refugees following a campaign. University of Birmingham English literature student Katie Church, 19, said: ‘We need to do

But he added: ‘It is pretty obvious that they’re not doing enough to solve the crisis.’
