HER LOSS WILL BE FELT BY ALL
Tributes pour in to ‘bright, hard-working’ student who loved the high life JOHN SHAW
Never forgotten: Nina Paunova was described as a ‘lovely girl’ who was full of life
TRIBUTES have been paid to a ‘talented and intelligent’ fashion student who was found dead in a field near to her home. Manchester Metropolitan University undergraduate Nina Paunova, 20, was discovered by police near Etton, in the Yorkshire Wolds. Her mother, Niviana Paunova, speaking to the Hull Daily Mail, said: ‘She was a lovely girl – she had lots of friends and she was just full of life. ‘She always liked to try new things or try new food in nice surroundings and she loved to travel. ‘She absolutely lived for fashion. She loved clothes and make-up. She enjoyed dressing up and going out with friends and sharing pictures on social media. She liked things to be pretty.’ Alison Welsh, head of the department of apparel, added: ‘Nina was a talented and intelligent student with a real love for fashion and her loss will be felt by both staff and students here in the Hollings Faculty. ‘Our sympathies go out to her family and friends at this very sad time.’ Tributes have also been pouring in on
social media. Friend Louise Arianna Rose Pratt wrote: ‘RIP my little Neeny! You’ve touched so many people. I hope you’ve found the peace you wanted. Gone but never forgotten.’ Nina’s stepfather, Jim McGivern, told the Hull Daily Mail: ‘She was a stunning, bright and hard-working girl who had her whole life ahead of her. ‘Although she had a short life, she lived it to the full. ‘She enjoyed the high life but she was a grafter too. She worked very hard and had quite a few jobs.’ Nina, who won a scholarship to study at Manchester Met, was due to start the final year of her fashion buying and merchandising course this month. A Humberside Police spokesperson said: ‘At 7.20am on Tuesday, September 8, a police patrol discovered a car abandoned and a dead woman, believed to be in her 20s, close by in a field near Etton Pasture School. ‘The death is not being treated as suspicious and police are preparing a file from the coroner. ‘The road in the immediate area was briefly closed while emergency services were in attendance.’
