Late March and early April, you’ll travel to and around Southeast Asia. The rainforests and mountains of Malaysia are enchanting, while the mixture of 21stcentury luxury and river villages on stilts makes the tiny sultanate of Brunei a fascinating place to explore. Spend some time underwater in Kota Kinabalu, diving around coral reefs and schooling fish as you spy an octopus lurking nearby. Or do your spying above ground, because the beaches are spectacular.

Spend the night in Ho Chi Minh City and actually experience all of it. Feel the splendor of the city when it was Saigon, the drama of its fall, the peaceful life on the Mekong Delta that hasn’t really changed. AN INDIAN OCEAN From the South China Sea, you’ll head to the Indian Ocean, where there is plenty of Destination Immersion® to be experienced. Kuala Lumpur was jungle until the 19th century, but today is an affluent metropolis, as proud of the iconic 88-story Petronas Towers as of the Batu Caves. Stop in George Town for a Malaysian stirfry. April comes to a close with three days in Dubai, a modern marvel filled with sprawling city and futuristic attractions. From Dubai, sail to Oman: high-rise vs. the architecture of the ancients, so thereâ&#x20AC;&#x2122;s still a bit of mystery here. In the port city of Muscat the mystery is in the old town, with its ancient city walls and watchtowers. Then to Salalah, more oasis than desert: beautiful beaches, waterfalls, frankincense. The temples of Karnak and the tombs in the Valley of the Kings leave no doubt as to the opulence and power of the pharaohs. A late stay in Jordan introduces Aqaba, which divers and snorkelers will be thrilled to meet. History buffs will head to the ancient city of Petra, carved into rock. Nature lovers may prefer Wadi Rum, one of the most amazing desert landscapes in Jordan, said to resemble the moon. Shore Excursions in Haifa can include the revered cities of Galilee and Nazareth, or a tour of some equally venerable vineyards.

No World Journey would be complete without a lot of Mediterranean sunshine, and on your voyage, you’ll have plenty of it. Sail from Athens and see why Grecians chose blue and white for the flag. There are the bright blue shutters on the white houses of Mykonos, the humble seafront village that has become a magnet for models, magnates, and Formula One drivers. The blue Aegean Sea and the white sand beaches are striking as the sun sets in Rhodes. The sweet white eggplant under blue umbrellas makes Santorini taste as stunning as it looks. Blue and white is Greece.

As for the colors of Taormina? Cypress stones, red tile roofs, ochre walls and a blue-hued Mt. Etna may catch your eye. There’s a paint color named Amalfi, modeled after the beautiful deep turquoise you’ll find along the coast. And the end of May features two: First, the Cannes Film Festival, the most prestigious film festival in the world in the most glamorous resort on the Cote d’Azur. Yes, yes, and yes. May comes to a close in Barcelona, Spain, where tapas are a tradition, and not just a hip attraction at a bar. In Alcudia, Spain, order a variat (assorted dish) – pork loin with mushrooms, Mallorcan salad, or tombet (potatoes, eggplant, and red peppers). It’s a perfect way to eat Mediterranean food – best eaten with wine, of course. In the past few decades, Spain has produced some of the most exciting wines in the world, and we’ll have tastings along the whole Mediterranean Coast. Azamara is the voyage for those who love golf, and the beginning of June will be the prime time to get your clubs out of your stateroom.Play at Valderrama, a championship course designed by Robert Trent Jones. Here Seve Ballesteros has played so often he even remodeled the 17th hole. Considered to be one of the best golf courses on the international circuit, it seems gentle at first but it’s actually quite challenging. There’s also a stop to play in the Algarve at Oceanico’s seven championship courses. Arnold Palmer’s Victoria Golf Club, where the Portugal Masters is played, is one of the most sophisticated courses in Europe. Or Faldo – there are incredible views, beautiful undulating land, a course designed for strategic play.

While on your World Journey, historic world attractions will be waiting at every turn, and the concluding stretch of your adventure will be no different. Your voyage sails to the famous beaches and villages of Normandy, presenting an chance to walk along the same sandy shores that were occupied by 160,000 Allied troops on that momentous day in 1944. But for non-WW2ophiles, there are enchanting things to discover as well. In the beautiful harbor city of St. Peter Port in Guernsey, La Vallette Underground Military Museum is as fascinating as it sounds. For a different kind of history, see Hauteville House, where Victor Hugo lived while here. Or walk through the wonderful Candie Gardens. A late stay means time for all.

In Cherbourg, the MusĂŠe de la LibĂŠration holds uniforms, photographs, maps, flags, and excellent views of the sea on the hill above the town. The charming port of Honfleur is next, where you can stroll around the old harbor and visit the incredible wooden church of Saint Catherine. Then visit the poignant American Cemetery, which overlooks Omaha Beach. Finally, if your sea legs will allow, bicycle around the canals of Amsterdam where Rembrandt and Van Gogh likely did the same. View the gabled houses by their upside-down reflections in the canals, and visit countless museums, festivals, and of course, the famed Red Light District.

Love a good OPENING OR ENCORE? Your World Journey offers back-to-back voyage opportunities, both pre- and post-voyage. COMPLIMENTARY HOTEL STAY: A 1-night pre-voyage hotel stay will be complimentary for full World Journey guests. The hotel provided by Azamara Club Cruises includes hotel accommodation, taxes, and transportation from hotel to pier, but may not be substituted with another hotel. ONBOARD SPENDING MONEY (OSM): A USD$1,000 OSM will be provided to each full-voyage guest. The Onboard Spending Money (OSM) of USD$1,000 is per person, in USD, and based on double occupancy. The OSM is redeemable against any purchase onboard except Casino and future cruise sales. The OSM has no cash value, is not redeemable for cash, is not transferable, and will expire if not used by 10:00 PM on the last evening of the voyage. LUGGAGE REIMBURSEMENT: Guests will have to submit their receipts for luggage charges for reimbursement.
