LEAF PICK-UP PROGRAM The City of Turlock Parks, Recreation and Public Facilities Department will be running the annual Leaf Pickup Program November 3, 2014 – February 6, 2015. Turlock residents are encouraged to use their green waste containers for leaves and garden refuse. Any leaves that will not fit into the green container may be placed in the street 18” from the curb in loose piles, not bagged. Do not place limbs in leaf piles. Do not park vehicles in front of your residence in locations which will prevent access to leaf collection the day prior to your scheduled day, on the scheduled day and the day after your scheduled day. Participants must be 18 years of age or under or 62 years of age and above, and have a Turlock address. Once approved, applicants may receive up to $75 for the fiscal year. A percent of every grocery dollar will support youth in Turlock and help them participate in safe and positive activities. Once you have rented a park space and contracted with an approved Bounce House company, you must purchase a $35 Bounce House Permit through the Recreation Office. For more information contact the Recreation Office.

One of the finest softball facilities in the Central Valley, featuring 4 softball fields and 1 baseball diamond. All fields are available for rent and use for tournaments.

ASES AFTER SCHOOL PROGRAM

The ASES program is designed to help students with homework, teach life-skills and promote healthy lifestyles through structured recreational activities. ASES is for 1st - 8th grade students who attend Brown, Crowell, Cunningham, Osborn, Turlock Jr. High and Wakefield Schools. ASES meets Monday - Friday from the time school lets out until 6:00pm. Beginning January 20th, check with the Recreation Office or the school office regarding the registration procedures for the 2015/2016 school year.

WAIT LIST POLICY

Anyone can be put on the waiting list for a class. If a customer withdraws from a class thus creating an open spot, the first person on the waiting list is called to accept or decline. Class spots are not held or reserved and are not finalized until payment is made. Waiting lists do not roll over.

PHOTO RELEASE POLICY

Please be advised that all participants involved in any program or special event are subject to being photographed. Such photographs may be used by the City of Turlock without an obligation to provide compensation to those photographed.

GENERAL INFORMATION

Classes may be canceled due to lack of enrollment. Please make every effort to pre-register so a class will not be canceled unnecessarily.

REFUND POLICY

Refunds will be given on cancellations prior to the first class, less a $10 cancellation fee. Failure to attend a program will not be granted a refund. If you are not satisfied with any of our programs, please contact the program supervisor, 668-5594.

CLASS TRANSFERS AND/OR LATE FEES

Any class changes will be charged an $8 transfer fee. After the class start date, all transfers will require instructor’s approval. If enrollment is being accepted after the class start date or registration date, a $5 late fee will be added to the class fee.
