C-Rail
The Iron Bear (Austin)/Scruff Model
Having started DJing just a little while ago, there’s a rising star who’s making a lot of noise just down the road from us, here’s the scoop on one of Texas’ newest, sexiest and strongest DJs: C-Rail His home bar is the Iron Bear in Austin – which is a fun place! I was there a few weeks back and found that my ass couldn’t stop bopping up and down to the beat….so I introduced myself to the DJ. Crail Bench, a.k.a. known as DJ C-Rail was behind the turntables and was rocking it! I pulled him aside for an impromptu interview because I knew you’d want to know more about this muscle bear. “I got started DJing a year ago August 2011” Crail says, “I’d been bartending on a patio here in Austin and my Sunday beer bust crowd loved my music. A few months later a couple of friends asked me to create a party for their birthday, along with my partners and I should DJ for it. I had never DJ’d before outside of just pushing “play” on my iPod.” He knew he’d have to tackle the learning curve, so he was smart about it and enlisted the help of a buddy, “ I got with one of my good friends and fellow DJ Bryan Konrad (Smith) and he gave me advice, showed me the systems and got me started out on what has become a very fun path for me.” His first official gig was the “Trois” party at the Iron Bear a year ago – which was a big success and showed him exactly what he was destined to do in life! “I had such an amazing time watching the crowd have fun, dance, let loose and such a sense of pride in that I was the catalyst in supplying that atmosphere for them.” He’s since gone on to spin and headline the Bear Bust at the Parliament House in Orlando, “It. Was. AMAZING! The crowd was surreal, the atmosphere and energy was through the roof (and we were outside) and seeing the faces of the people dancing, having a great time will be something I won’t ever forget.” Since then, he’s gotten lots of phone calls for out-of-town gigs, one of which was Bearracuda Houston, which was a smashing success held at our Eagle. When asked what the most memorable gig was he’s spun, he says it was the OutYouth Prom in Austin, “Just to see these kids, Jr High, High School having such a great time and no “labels”. It’s not they were just
Pg. 10
His career ambitions are all surrounding his family and giving back to the community, “My partner of 11.5 years and our pug and cat. DJing has become an outlet for me to be able to feel that I’m “giving back” to the community here in Austin that has been so great to me since I moved here back in 2001. My heart has a passion for fundraising and charity organizations and if I could become a “go to” DJ for such events, I would have a feeling of complete fulfillment in giving of my talents to such organizations that give so much to our community.” The path that he travels now took considerable effort to get to as Crail realized some personal issues that have made him into the person he is today – and the reason he chooses to give back to our community with the tenacity he has within. “I went through a very rough “coming out” period in Houston 2000 where a dark depression came over me that unfortunately included a suicide attempt. I was outed, asked to leave my job, called off my wedding and was all but homeless for a couple of weeks living in my truck” he recalls, “things are much different now as I’m blessed with a wonderful husband of 11.5 yrs, we just moved into the house we built into one of the most wonderful neighborhoods we could’ve ever asked to have found. We have a little pug named Lulu Belle LaRue and a tabby cat named Squeaks.” C-Rail’s future looks bright, he’s got lots of exciting DJ gigs coming up! “I’ll be DJing in DC in November for “DC Bear Crue’s Bear Happy Hour”, 1200+ people at. It’s crazy. Then in December I’ll be DJing in Chicago for Andrew Kain’s “Man Horse” party. I’ve been fortunate enough to have Scruff support me as well, being one of their “models” and have been able to go on some trips with them to promote and party, it’s been a blast. And through them my networking field has EXPLODED. So a big “thank you” to Johnny Scruff and his team.” He’ll also be back in Houston at the Eagle on Saturday 11/17! If you’re in or near Houston on the 17th, come out and support a lonestar boy as he plays at Eagle Houston, you’ll hear and feel the energy….plus you’ll see me under that GIANT mirrorball! WOOF!

Holiday Banana Salad and Watergate Salad Hello Readers, Sunny outside but cool enough for a sweater, I love this kind of weather. I have a couple of recipes for you today to add to your Thanksgiving table. They are both super good and easy to make. The banana one is usually the first dish to be emptied at our house. I wish I could give you a taste before I explain it to you. A lot of people say “yuk” when I ask them to try it. Then after tasting it, they ask for the recipe. If you like bananas you really need to try it. I like bananas; sometimes spread with peanut butter, sometimes with salt and pepper, sometimes cut onto my cereal and sometimes just as they are. I have made pies, cakes, cookies, Jell-O, breads, pancakes, muffins just about any way you can think of using them and this is one of our very favorite. You might say it is one of those 5 ingredient dishes people are so proud to share. Now after all this build up I really cannot give you the exact measurements, you have to do it sort of to taste. But I will give you the guidelines, and you can go from there. That is the way my grandma taught me to make it.
Holiday Banana Salad Ingredients: Bananas (use as many you would like, just remember this salad does not keep well) Miracle Whip (or Mayo if you prefer) Lemon Juice (this helps to keep the bananas from turning brown) Sugar Roasted salted peanuts chopped fine First make your sauce. Start with about a cup of Miracle Whip and stir in about a tablespoon lemon juice. Add a tablespoon or two of sugar to take away the sharpness of the juice. Then peel your banana and cut in half lengthwise, put in bowl cut side up. Repeat until you have one layer across your dish. Spread with a light coating of the sauce and sprinkle with chopped peanuts. Make as many layers as you need making sure the top layer is
Pg. 12
completely covered with the sauce (to keep the air from going down and reaching the rest of the bananas) and sprinkled well with peanuts. Cover tightly with plastic wrap and put into the refrigerator until chilled about an hour but really depending on the size of the salad. As you can see, you just have to taste the sauce as you go along to get it to your liking, don’t worry if you did not make enough sauce to cover all of your bananas the first time just mix up some more, this is not rocket science. We like quite a bit of sauce in our dish. When you chop the peanuts be sure and also use all of the fine flour dust that you get especially if you use a nut grinder, that powder like grind adds a lot to the flavor as well as the small chunks of nuts you get. My kids to this day always want to make sure we are having banana salad when we have a get together. Now this is not a salad that keeps well, after about 24 hours or so it gets dark as bananas do after they are peeled.
Our second salad became well known back in the days of President Nixon. My sources always told me this salad was first made by the Watergate Hotel, so you can see why this might have happened. This too is an easy salad and very easy to play with and make your own variation.
Watergate Salad Ingredients: 1 pkg (3.4 ounces) instant pistachio pudding mix 1 carton (16 oz.) frozen whipped topping, thawed 4 or 5 drops green food coloring (completely optional) 1 20 ounce can crushed pineapple undrained 3 cups miniature marshmallows ½ cup very coarsely chopped nuts pistachio, pecans or walnuts your choice In a large bowl, combine whipped topping, pudding mix and food coloring (if using it). Fold

in the marshmallows and pineapple. Cover and refrigerate for at least 2 hours. Just before serving, sprinkle with nuts. This will make 10-12 servings. I like to add about 1/3 cup quartered maraschino cherries. It really makes it pretty. If you do use the cherries be sure to drain them on paper towels before using or it will turn your salad an ugly color. You can serve this as a salad or even as a dessert. This salad is a good keeper, just be sure you cover well with plastic wrap and refrigerate. You can also make this salad with fruit cocktail. Just substitute Pistachio pudding with coconut cream pudding and substitute fruit cocktail for the pineapple. Then cut the marshmallows to 2 cups and add ½ to ž cup of flaked coconut.
Are you watching your sale ads for ingredients for your Thanksgiving table? You can find some good bargains by shopping a little early. I know some of you do not want to try cooking a large turkey, or maybe you do not have the need for a large turkey, or even have an oven to
November 16, 2012
accommodate one. You can still have a wonderful dinner. Roast a turkey breast or even buy your turkey from the grocer already cooked. If you make your own side dishes, and desserts you can still mind the budget. Most guests are happy to bring a side dish, if you ask or have them bring the wine. Whatever you do, whatever you serve. Please remember it is not the turkey or the pumpkin pie that matters. It is remembering all the things we can each be thankful to have. Of course our daily needs, but mostly family, good friends, health, and that glorious wonderful feeling of love and security when we get together and share with each other. And when you shop, remember to buy a few extra items for the food baskets for those who have less than us. Until next time work smart, play hard and take time out for a cookie. Tiny Tim’s Gay Daddy Scrooge & Marley scroogeandmarleymovie.com Scrooge & Marley is the latest variation on Charles Dickens’ classic holiday story, “A Christmas Carol”. Recounted from a gay sensibility, with comedy and cabaret music, the magic of Dickens’ timeless tale of a man’s redemption at the holidays comes alive from a new modern perspective. How does Scrooge & Marley differ from Dickens’ original tale? “Well, Scrooge is gay,” says David Moretti, who stars in the film as Bob Cratchit. “So that’s kind of the big difference from the original Dickens version. We’re exploring different topics for a more relevant, modern perspective. Most of the themes from the original still hold true. The story of redemption, getting lost and finding yourself again through the help of others.”
Moretti’s Cratchit, like his Dickensian predecessor, does it because he has lots of mouths to feed, “and he would do anything for his children and his family.” Cratchit has a husband in this version rather than a wife. “So there are a few differences scattered through that you will notice,” Moretti observes, smiling.
Moretti describes his character as “…kind of the eternal optimist, even though he lives a hard life. He’s a really good guy with a really good soul.” Working for miserly, mean Ebenezer Scrooge is not exactly the most pleasant experience, but “I really like this character because he promotes a positive gay relationship. They have a very functional, well-rounded family, which is a very important image for me to show.” Moretti has largely built his acting career on gay roles. “If it’s gay, they call me. That’s pretty much the way my career trajectory has gone so far.” Moretti first came to the attention of the gay community in his three-season-long role in here!TV’s gay vampire soap opera, The Lair. “From there I crossed over onto their sister show, Dante’s

Cove. I’ve done a couple of feature films so far, most recently Finding Mr. Wright, which is a gay romantic comedy. And here I am in my first gay Christmas movie. Maybe next up will be a gay war film or something,” he laughs. He admits his career success flies in the face of the still prevalent Hollywood wisdom regarding gay actors. “I was definitely told not to come out, explicitly, from numerous people in the industry. I definitely weighed my options in the beginning. I didn’t come out the first second I landed on TV—it was something I had to think about. But then it basically came down to, you know, people would start to ask who I was dating, and the press, everyone, wants to know.” He wasn’t comfortable lying and trying to dodge the issue. “Straight people talk about who they’re dating all the time, why shouldn’t I be able to? Why should I have to hide who I’m dating? I don’t want to make it the cornerstone of what I’m about, but it came up, and so I was honest about it, and I came out. I’m fortunate enough to have found this niche that I keep working in.” Moretti has no regrets about his decision to come out, especially with the tremendous competition for jobs in Hollywood. “It’s a rat race out there. There are so many actors for so few roles. But I get to play all these beautiful roles in beautiful films and I get to dive into many different characters. Granted they’re all gay, but so what? I’m working, and I get to do what I want to do, and travel and see beautiful cities like Chicago (where Scrooge & Marley was filmed). I couldn’t have made a better choice for myself.”
He says he hopes audiences who see Scrooge & Marley will leave the theater feeling warm from the spirit of the holiday in them and happy to be seeing functional gay people onscreen rather than mediacreated stereotypes. “We’re just normal people involved in our normal lives, and we screw up, we do well, and at the end of the day we learn from our mistakes.”
The film’s characters “happen to be gay,” he explains. “Their being gay is really not the point of the movie. It’s not thrown in your face. Scrooge & Marley is a story that people of any age, race, gender, ethnicity, or sexuality can watch and enjoy.”
November 16, 2012
“It is a story that’s been told a million times—but never been quite like this,” he continues. “The feeling, the production values, the crew—there must have been 50 people working on set at any given time. I haven’t seen that in a lot of gay films. There was a lot of heart, soul, and dedication put into Scrooge & Marley, and I really believe the end result is something very special.” Scrooge and Marley will be available on DVD and Blu-ray in time for the holidays. Movie Review Funkytown Gay and lesbian cinema is known for its gritty low budget feel (mainly because it is) so it is always nice when a big budget film comes along with all the glitz and glamour that entails. Funky Town is a glossy big budget movie with a greatest of disco hits sound track. An era spanning movie, set during the height of Montreal’s disco craze, Funky Town follows the rise and falls of an ensemble of characters. Steve Gallucio (the openly gay director of Mambo Italiano) tells the story of the glamorous denizens of the Starlight disco. It begins with the story of deejay Bastien Lavallee in a seedy motel asking, “What wrong turn did I take to get here?” The movie then fills in the blanks documenting his drug filled rise and fall. Funky Town weaves the lives of a host of characters around Bastien’s high energy life as it sizzles out. They are all a train wreck. Adriana, the model, is having an affair with Bastien while a club kid named Tino struggles with his sexuality; simultaneously exploring his gay side and being a gay basher at the same time. Swirling around them is Gilles the talent manager, Mimi the fading Canadian pop star, and Jonathan the gay media mogul based on Douglas Leopold. The whole movie is a bit of a mess with so many characters that they never get enough depth. Having said that, it is a mess you can dance to. The high energy and great performances are more than enough to carry you through the shallow writing. The film does have something to say about greed and corruption and is an appropriate reminder given our current circumstances that it all has happened before.
Slammed Treasure Island Media Treasure Island Media is no stranger to controversy. The release of Slammed will in no way damper the criticisms. Long known for their unflinching use of bareback, cum drenched, sex, Treasure Island pushes the envelope even further with this almost four hour epic. Liam Cole directs and Paul Morris produces this record of lawless 21st century man-sex: real, raw, and straight to the point. Liam searched all through the UK for just the right hungry pigs and he found them, nabbing sex-fiends Scott Williams, Keiran, Peto Coast, and even TIMWhore Christian. Liam’s best find from the trenches of Londan is Jon Phelps. This new comer has the stamina to last all night and he does! Liam takes Jon from scene to scene and never allows him to clean up. One man after the other has his turn with Jon and when the men run out Liam calls in back ups to take over. All around him the regulars are doing their thing too but it is really Jon who steals the show. The all night odyssey leaves him slammed, gang-banged, and changed for life. Liam Cole and Paul Morris are known for some of the nastiest scenes on DVD and this latest release is no exception. It is completely bareback and no pulling out. Treasure Island is not for everyone and for sure Slammed will turn off some people. But for the people who are into raunchy, bare, no holds barred, testicle blazing porn Slammed is a can’t miss.

Retro Rewind By DJ Arnold
Dusty Springfield & Pet Shop Boys Growing up in England I was a obsessed with Rhythm & Blues/Soul music. As a teenager I would save my paper-round earnings to go up to London to scour the specialty record stores for rare US soul imports and to get my copy of Rhythm & Blues Magazine, which I would read from cover to cover. But it wasn’t just American artists that caught my attention at that early age, ‘blue-eyed soul’ was emerging and the future queen of that genre soon became a superstar. Of course I am talking of one of my favorite singers of all time, the incomparable Dusty Springfield. British TV loved Dusty so much that we all felt like we knew her as she appeared on so many shows including her own series called simply ‘Dusty’. Her easy going personality and her amazing voice made her a favorite with all ages and boy could she sell records in the UK! Dusty was one of the first artist to come ‘out’ as a bisexual at a time when it was not very well accepted and her career suffered for awhile. Addiction to Drugs and alcohol, along with bouts of depression also played their part in her decline in popularity.
‘In Private’ was written and produced by The Pet Shop Boys in such a way as to give Dusty a chance to really express her vocal talent. The emotion that shines through lifts this way above being just another diva driven dance track. It tugs on the heart-strings while still giving your feet a good work out on the dance floor. Neil Tennant’s poignant lyrics on ‘In Private’ prove his skill as a legitimate pop song writer and the arrangement and remixes guaranteed the tracks long lasting dance floor appeal. Although not released as a single in the US the 12” version became very popular in the clubs over here and featured amazing remixes by the ever popular Shep Pettibone. ‘In Private’ was featured on Dusty’s 1990 British album ‘Reputation’ For me this will always remain a dance floor classic that I am happy to dig it out for my Classic Saint Sunday nights at the new Eagle, just ask me! Unfortunately Dusty succumbed to cancer in 1999 at the age of 59.
By 1987 she was considered to be pretty much a has-been until the hugely popular Pet Shop Boys managed to entice her to sing on one of their singles, ‘What Have I Done To Deserve This’.
The Pet Shop Boys, who are still going strong, rerecorded ‘In Private’ in 2006 featuring Elton John singing in duet with Neil Tennant but it pales in comparison with Dusty’s original!
This opened her up to a whole new audience and the track hit #2 both in the UK and the US, making it her most successful single ever in the US.
‘What you’re gonna say In private You still want my love We’re in this together And what you’re gonna do In public Say you were never in love
I loved that track but it was another collaboration with the Pet Shop Boys that I have chosen for this week’s Retro Rewind.

Music By Thomas “DJ Big Daddy” Edmond
The Doors “ Live 68” Eletrka/Rhino Music www.thedoors.com There has never been so much talk about one group from the mid 60’s as there has been when it comes to The Doors, there is so much excitement about the music and so much mystery about their front man The late Jim Morrison, who his hey day was sexier than any man on today’s music scene. Here it is, 71 minutes of THE DOORS during their early (and arguably best) period in 1968. The band wasn’t allowed to play at the volume level they wanted (loud), so the overall recorded impression is ever so anemic compared to what they were capable of. But they knew this concert was so important, that they rehearsed beforehand. And for once, all the talk about the sound being “the best ever” is pretty accurate. This is a amazing live cd I never heard it on record or any bootlegs, but the sound is so great on this remastered cd you can hear the crowd and what is being said very clear . Now the old record heads (old dudes that buy old records) tell me, there was technical problems on three tracks-”When The Music’s Over”, “The Wasp (Texas Radio And The Big Beat)”, and “Hello I Love You”-basically not having Morrison’s vocals-have been “fixed”. In order to rescue the songs, Morrison’s vocals from the “Absolutely Live” set were used for these three tracks on the CD. So now we get to hear the complete concert. Is it “cheating?” Well, yes a bit. But it does sound pretty good nonetheless. I love how Rhino records ( the masters of remasters) have package this cd .the CD slips inside an envelope in a “bill-fold” style cardboard holder, along with the booklet, in the other edge. The 10 page booklet has a short essay about
Pg. 30
the recordings, plus there’s a paragraph from each of the remaining band members, that bring back some of the flavor of those times. There’s also a list of the various microphones used, and related recording information, this I s mostly for us hard core fans or those who are that deep into knowing how or why it was all made. But the music-whoa! This is THE DOORS in their prime, putting it all out there. Morrison’s vocals are full of swagger and power. His command of the lyrics-the tone and the timing-have a quality that makes other L.A. bands of that period sound like wimps. But that’s only part of the picture. The instrumental firepower from the band its self, is unlike anything I every come across on a live recording from this time and it has depth and adds excitement to Morrison’s vocals and raw energy. My favorite parts of the cd and show its self are “Back Door Man”, “Hello, I Love You”, and (of course) “Light My Fire”, anyone who thinks THE DOORS was Jim Morrison and “backing band” will get a real wake up call. This set from “The Bowl” will give new fans a good idea of what this concert, and the band as a whole, was like. And if you want only one album of THE DOORS or on live album, this is the BEST to have. I say sit back and enjoy it( now how is up to you!)

Kourtney Van Wales Galveston, Texas It had been her favorite song for years, but it wasn’t until the great fall of her life that she realized what it meant to her. There was something about it. The song was always warm and welcoming to her senses. The thought of someone loving her as they lifted her up was very appealing. Most of her life had been spent searching for that fulfillment within her. Timeless searches for that certain one. She was born in 1970. From the beginning of her most eventful life support of many means was unavailable. She came from a modest family with modest but comfortable surrounds. It was the type of family, which in spite of their love for her had no knowledge of Transgendered children, nor how to raise one. She, who was he then was different than the others around her, never really fitting in. “He” was always playing Wonder Woman instead of Superman.

“If someone like U found someone like me then suddenly nothing would ever be the same. My heart would take wing, and I’d feel so alive. If someone like you found me.” ~Jekyll and Hyde It wasn’t their fault really. They simply hadn’t been prepared for whom she (he) was. So, as she grew older and wiser she would come to forgive them. The hatred, the violence and the betrayal were fading memories. She knew later if there were any chance to find God again, she would have to let it all go. There had been many things to forgive. She would have to be the first. As she looked back on her life of ups and downs she realized she was the one continually hurting herself while attempting to further a rising career in show business. It was she who put drugs into her body. It was she who had sex anonymously and she who would have to live with the consequences. Fortunately she found solace at a young age in her mentor, friend, and drag “mother”, Miss T. She loved Miss T, and in

return she found love unconditional. There was something incredibly special about their bond. Something she’d never felt before. Life always had a way for Kourtney. From the earliest of ages she knew was different. Always imaginative and outgoing she always felt sharing her gift, or her light as she calls it, was her calling. Wanting more from her life and at the encouragement of her “mother”, she auditioned and landed the co-starring role she’d dreamed of. At the world famous Riviera Hotel & Casino’s “An Evening At La Cage”. She sang, she danced, she was the first Madonna impersonator in Sin City USA, Las Vegas. She loved Las Vegas. It was magic and exhilarating. Finally she found her place in the world. She went from being alone to being surrounded by people just like her. She thrived on the excitement of the city. While in Las Vegas Kourtney “found” Dolly Parton. Eventually her new illusion would be her worldwide claim to fame. Although she was still living within him, it was there she began to take root. It was the first time as a young adult she lived on her own. Life had arrived. It arrived in the form of stardom, a sense of independence and a new military husband. Shortly after moving to Las Vegas she would loose her “mother” Miss T to alcohol addiction. She loved her military man, and he loved her. Sadly, it wasn’t enough. She was still living inside a young man’s body, alone and extremely unsure. It wasn’t long until her burden manifested itself in the form of more drugs, and when living her lie had become too much she left her military man to begin transitioning. It was the single most regretful thing she’d ever do. She still remains as family with her military man, and their bond is closer now than most natural families. Now she has two brothers: her military man and his man. For nearly two decades they have been her family. They have filled the void with unconditional love and supported her through every mistake. She loves her champions, her Beto and Nicky. As she began her journey to female she made some terrible mistakes. She knows now when people feel trapped or imprisoned in someone they aren’t it can be difficult to find restraint or even common sense pertaining to your

outward appearance. The need to be physically female can be overwhelming. Some, like Kourtney, have hurt themselves with silicone injections by transitioning at an alarming rate. It’s this particular behavior that produced devastating results in her breasts. The reality is her breasts have the feel and consistency of Stage 4 Breast Cancer. The silicone has literally petrified. The scar tissue is so severe to fix it is an act of violent mutilation. So, when asked about it, she simply smiles and shares. She has come to a resolution within herself to make good from an unfortunate mistake. It’s her every hope that her journey will not go unnoticed by the young ones within her reach. To regret is to be still in life, and she feels there is a lesson in every moment. It is Kourtney’s wish to have her lessons realized and teach others how not to harm themselves. These lessons come in all shapes and sizes. They come from our environment and those in our surrounds. They come from success and love to devastation and loss of love. Not too mention one’s mind and way. When Kourtney found success as Miss Texas USofA she also found love and a lucrative business. Although some lessons seem to last forever love can fade, businesses can collapse and souls can be lost. For years she struggled with cocaine battling homelessness and insanity. She felt there was no end for she wanted so desperately to be whole again. For much of this time she now only gets glimpses, as she doesn’t remember some of it. So, she keeps her heart open to guidance as she moves forward asking how she

asking how she can be more of the person she longed to be. The loss from any addiction can be astounding. How it affected her life and loved ones would consume chapters in a book. In fact her story could fill the entire book, but you see it’s what has broken her that makes her unique. She shares it with the world so she won’t be defined by it. Her belief is universal. We are here to love one another –to lift our voices and protect one another from fear, loneliness and pain. It was after this realization Kourtney made amends with her loved ones. Today they are closer than they’ve ever been. She is loved for who she is and isn’t in competition for someone she thinks they want. After many revelations she sees loving them for who THEY are has made all the difference in all their lives. Her family is now able to celebrate her goals and dreams accomplished. She can now share being at the top of her 26th year in show business with pride and gratitude. As a family, they can celebrate birthdays without the fear it may be her last. It’s important for Kourtney to share who she is, where she was and where she’s going. There’s a certain feeling she gets inside when she remembers someone, some place or feels some thing. As if on autopilot her
reaction is usual in her overwhelming desire to teach from her mistakes. As she takes her days in stride on the beautiful island of Galveston, Kourtney breathes life into her days surrounded by loving people. People who believe in her as much as she believes in them. They are her friends, her island family and co-workers. Today her life is one of purpose. It’s a life of lessons received and shared. Kourtney says she will always love her song from Jekyll and Hyde. For she now knows the someone in “Someone Like You” is YOU. YOU are the one who will give wings to Ur broken way. YOU have the strength within you to mend your broken heart. YOU have all the love YOU will ever, ever need.
Kourtney is celebrating her 26th anniversary in show business this year. She’ll also be celebrating her 42nd birthday Saturday, November 24th, with the cast of The PussyKat Revue 11pm and Midnight at Stars Beach Club, 3102 Seawall BLVD, Galveston, Texas. TWIT

The fear of poverty drives you to accomplish as much as you can, fully believing that your determination and persistence will guarantee success. Always willing to assume responsibility on the job, you take one step at a time in achieving excellence. Secretive about your personal life and plans, you don’t share your innermost thoughts with coworkers. You are efficient in managing your financial affairs and resourceful in spending.
Some jobs require attention to small details, and others don’t. Whatever job is yours, it’s likely that you go for the ones with minutiae. Because you enjoy people and exploration, you do well in careers such as sales, education, and therapy. Although saving for a rainy day isn’t your thing, you’re always clever enough to never get caught wet. You know that hiding from hard facts doesn’t make them disappear! Cancer June 21 July 22
Taurus April 20 May 20 You enjoy logical, methodical work that doesn’t require spontaneity or thinking fast, preferring defined procedures and responsibilities. You’re not lazy or insecure, but when “one” doesn’t precede “two” you lose it. Not one to get easily sucked into flattery from coworkers, you keep your private life separate from those with whom you work. Paranoid, or practical--who cares? You always get the job done!
Your coworkers know that you’re generous with your time, sharing what you know, and willing to explore options. Occupations that don’t require book keeping are best. For you; balancing personal finances and paying credit cards is challenging. You’re always willing to give others the benefit of the dollars and cents doubt and are a valuable team player--just make sure that you don’t relinquish your talent or time to the undeserving! Leo July 23 August 22 You’re comfortable with yourself, and don’t mind working alone--although working in cubicles or at home jobs drives you batty. Once you set out to do a task, you stay until(you think) it’s done. You’re happy to let everyone do what they want with their money provided they keep their hands off your stash! You overlook coworkers foibles but cannot live with hypocrisy, duplicity or deception, nor can you tolerate shades of gray concerning your hard earned paycheck!

Virgo August 23 September 22 You don’t deal well with on the job debate, preferring to work alone in structured and organized capacities. Nevertheless, you’re always ready to pitch in and help--provided that it doesn’t interfere with your productivity. Money wise, you believe that there’s a time, place and budget for everything. You tend to your responsibilities first and offer assistance afterwards. Your bank account is usually well balanced, and you are conscientious and clever with spendings. Libra September 23 October 22 Although nobody expects anything but the best from you, and you never leave a task half done, you are easily overwhelmed by dollars and cents stuff. You’re articulate and nimble minded and have a smooth talking manner. You function best in structured situations, but not so regimented that you lose the joy of exploration. While always considerate, you maintain strict boundaries between you and coworkers. Scorpio October 23 November 21 Menial tasks repel you; you are perfectionists, and only content when doing their personal best. You consider every option slowly, and are motivated to excel and be successful. You’re straightforward and determined, but rarely egocentric--you don’t need to be adored, admired(only paid well). Although not inclined to seek approval, supervisors recognize your positive strengths. You are comfortable doing more than the job requires provided that it sets a good example for subordinates, or will beat the competition. Sagittarius November 22 December 21 It’s difficult for you to talk with others about personal fiances--even with a professional! You have your own unique way of budgeting a bank account and your personal investments, and learn best from hands on trial and error. You’re not a scaredy cat when it boils down to

purchasing big ticket items, and rarely go over budget. Even though you’re not too punctual, you’re a dependable employee and true blue about follow through. Nevertheless, your most valuable luxury is retreating from the office and into your comfy easy chair at home! Capricorn December 22 January 19 Lots of what you do is based on a plan for maximizing your output, and you expect a high yield for your efforts! You can lessen feelings of inadequacy by freeing yourself from anxiety about security. Always remember that you are independent and that you can extend your field of interest when opportunity arises. You have the right to expect a reasonable return for your work. Failure to recognize your potential is a serious liability. Aquarius January 20 February 18 You may have difficulty putting your ideas into words, retreating into a fantasy world whenever the real world seems rough. However, your feelings run deep. You see beauty in the world that others often overlook and can express this vision through writing or art. You don’t favor occupations concerning math and science. Pisces February 19 March 20 Not the most ardent laborer, you seek effective ways to make money with the least amount of physical or mental effort. It’s not that you’re lazy or afraid to take chances, however. You simply don’t trust only to luck. You ponder and examine the details of every proposal and intuitively evaluate its chances for success. You give coworkers the benefit of the doubt but prefer working alone, not in group capacities. But you don’t arouse suspicion or criticism from those you deal with because you rarely appear threatening.
