Sean Dorsey Dance
Sean Dorsey has been recognized as the first acclaimed transgender modern dance choreographer in the US.
Boys in Trouble

Choreographed and written by Sean Dorsey Movement created and performed by Sean Dorsey, Brian Fisher, ArVejon Jones, Nol Simonse, Will Woodward
True Transsexual Confessions. An unabashed love letter between queer Black men. A send-up of all things Macho. A queer spin on butchness. Real talk about whiteness. An invitation to look deeply at Shame. A witness to hurt and heartbreak. A road map for another way.
Original music composed by Alex Kelly, Jesse Olsen Bay, Ben Kessler, Anomie Belle, LD Brown/Grey Reverend Additional text by ArVejon Jones and Nol Simonse
With stark honesty, powerful storytelling, and breathtaking dancing, these dances celebrate expansive trans and queer gender expression, and move audiences to examine their own assumptions and experiences of gender.

Bone Hill is inspired by creator Martha Redbone’s own family and life.
Martha Redbone Bone Hill: The Concert presents
Singer-songwriter Martha Redbone’s music flows equally from her own unique, awardwinning blend of Native American elements and her deep roots in Appalachian folk and Piedmont blues. Presented as a dramatic musical work with a cast of eight actor/musicians, this epic journey covers 200 years of Redbone’s native family history in the Appalachian Mountains— spanning across four generations of women in a Cherokee family, exploring their lives and stories. Bone Hill is a story about the family’s commitment to the land, to the simplicity and sacredness of that connection, and the ruptures that threaten to extinguish it. The music is radically wide-ranging, from traditional Cherokee chants and lullabies to bluegrass and blues, country, gospel, jazz, Rock & Roll, Rhythm & Blues, and funk.
