FLUIDSPACE Former Power Plant

Morro Bay, California 3rd year, 2017 Embarcadero Rd

FluidSpace is a bayside park uniting four key Morro Bay

elements in the Morro Bay community: Harbor, Beach, Town[people], & the proposed Power

Diagram of existing linear boundaries.

Plant Nature Center. The existing conditions are constrained by a succession of linear boundaries, while the proposal weaves a tapestry of unique identities. To create a fluid public use space, the proposal explores integration with identity through a web of physical forms.

PALMSHORE PARK

Santa Barbara, California 3rd year, 2017 Palmshore Park takes well-loved site where the people need it to be. Currently the daily location of soccer and any number of self-organized athletic activities, the proposed development inspired by the form of Washingtonia Palms offers a regulation soccer field, climbing mounds, workout zones, ping pong tables, bouldering wall, plaza with soccer seating, and enhanced beach access.

STORYPLACE Santa Maria, California 3rd year, 2017 Storyplace is situated in a 100-year flood basin next to an elementary school. The park concept arises from nature as a source of inspiration in the telling of stories. Seven unique spatial experiences which mirror naturally-occuring counterparts such as lake, island, mountain, and valley set a stage for exploration, imagination, and development.

SLOHIGHBENCH

SLO High Cal Poly San Luis Obispo, California 4th year A community project aimed at providing seating opportunity outside the music building at SLO high, the "bench" project morphed into something much bigger, heavier, and sturdier. My personal contribution to the project included design sketches, modeling, rendering, construction, and installation with professor Joe Ragsdale, students, and members of the SLO High PTO.

GROW MARS Proposed tri-level modular building plans

Living quarters

Food production

Lab & tech

Melas Chasma, Mars 2nd year, 2017 Grow Mars focuses on large scale community planning with potential for modular expansion. Biological resource scarcity and the presence of diverse mineral deposits on-site led to the development of a framework of replicable Grow Mars Units. Development follows a flexible algorithm of land use and building adjacencies that satisfy basic needs and community comfort.

SCHALBY LANDING

Charleston, South Carolina 2nd year, 2017 Ripe with historic and ecological significance, Schalby Landing develops a contemprary social venue with a strong ecological underpinning. While accomplishing the primary objective of ecological stability for the presently-sinking island, the holistic proposal takes cues from local ecology to also develop spaces of strong cultural value.

DIFLOVERSITY Baker Lawn Cal Poly San Luis Obispo, California 1st year Currently a barren lawnscape, Difloversity is a transformation for student values. A rotating kinetic sculpture is the site's central feature, doubling as an wind powered energy generator which lights up at night. Edible berries line the main circulation and anchor the region of greatest topography change. Seating areas are placed to make use of the setting sun and expansive westward views, and the seclusion and shade for midday study.

PALM TWO Desert Landscape San Luis Obispo, California 4th year Undertaken as a brief graphic exercise, this project envisions a modern grass and palm landscape in a conceptual new neighborhood. This project illustrates the potential of modeling and rendering software for quick visualization of various detailed landscape concept options.
