Requirements for the Role: • Initiative and proactiveness • Leadership and ability to manage a team • Experience with teamwork and readiness to work with others • Experience in organization and planning (context does not matter) • Experience in event planning • Ability to multi-task and oversee a number of operations simultaneously • Organization skills and punctuality are a must • Being comfortable with managing others and asking for follow-ups • Dedication to role and reliability • “Can-do” attitude • Strong written and spoken communication skills • Most importantly a passion for, or genuine interest in learning more about social enterprise Nice to have, but not mandatory: • Connections within the Vancouver social entrepreneurship/social business community

MARKETING ASSOCIATE VICE-PRESIDENT MARKETING (1) •
The Associate Vice-President Marketing will shadow the VP Marketing first term, and then transition into VP Marketing for second term

campaigns to be carried out throughout the year for the Social Enterprise Club’s events and Conference Working with Marketing Directors to: » Brainstorm graphics ideas » Check designs making edits if necessary » Document events and create promotional videos Setting up meetings with Events team, and coordinating necessary marketing plans Working with VP Marketing to lead boothing efforts Working with VP Marketing to oversee all Marketing channels (social media, newsletter, website, etc.) and ensuring that they are updated regularly, according to schedule and that accountability of Marketing team-members is met Attending weekly Executive team and Conference team meetings in order to update the bigger team on Marketing’s activities and understanding overall strategy of upcoming projects Managing Marketing team as a whole and being point-of-contact for all Marketing activities for the rest of the club

CREATIVE DIRECTOR (1) Typical weekly responsibilities: • Designing promotional materials for print and web-use, which adhere to the SEC brand, including

but not limited to: » Infographics » Logos and promotional posters » Editing photographs from events » Delegate handbooks and pamphlets for the Conference Contributing to the planning and execution of marketing campaigns, including any postering, boothing, and promotions on social media
Average time commitment: 2-3 hours a week; 4-5 hours a week leading up to the Conference
Requirements for the Role: • Experience with graphic design (Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign) • An eye for creating aesthetically appealing content • Teamwork capabilities • Punctuality and ability to meet short-term deadlines • Most importantly a passion for, or genuine interest in learning more about social enterprise Nice to have, but not mandatory: • Marketing and branding experience • Videography and photography skills
CONFERENCE CONFERENCE DIRECTORS (1) Typical Weekly Activities: • Working closely with Conference Chairperson and SEC team to plan and orchestrate the Conference • Liaising with everyone involved in the conference (speakers, workshop leaders, students/start• • • •
ups, UBC socially-minded clubs, student volunteers, venue managers) Assisting with attaining sponsors for conference (i.e. write-ups, presentations) Managing all bookings for conference and ensuring that terms and promises are adhered to Managing the recruitment, training, and coordination of volunteers Overseeing all volunteer activities on the day of the conference
Average Time Commitment: 4-5 hours a week; 7-8 hours a week leading up to the Conference
